Secretary of State office

This office is terrific. The staff is friendly and helpful and the wait time was only about 20 minutes.

I do wish there was a separate endorsement on one's driver's license for 150cc scooters versus a motorcycle. Learning to ride a motorcycle is very different than riding a scooter.

I remember when you used to take a number and sit there for 2-3 hours (different location over 10 years ago). Now you sign up for a time slot online. I was in and out of there within 30 minutes!

I stopped in without an appointment and got me right in. I was helped by a young lady by the name of Ashley L, this girl was amazing and needs to be a manager of this branch!!

I went to get a Michigan driver's license! I come from a state down south... If you go out to get a government issued license, you accept that you'll have to be there for the whole day because people will be angry at you, the line will be long, there will be mistakes That you have to catch, etc. I was incredibly surprised at the appointment that I made online was upheld, they had an organized system asking if you had an appointment or if you didn't, and showed you to where you're supposed to stand. It only took me about 15 minutes in line because other people were getting stuff done, then maybe about 10 minutes for me to give all of my documents, get my picture taken, they made sure that my information was correct, and then I got my temporary written license and and waiting for my official Michigan license to come into the mail. That was such an incredibly strangely pleasant experience. Also, I noticed that the employees like to joke with each other, they're very pleasant, they don't seem like the absolutely despise everyone and everything (prompting you to wonder why they're working their jobs at all, which I've wondered all the time. If you despise it so much, please stop working here and making yourself another suffer). I really enjoyed the experience, surprisingly enough, for a secretary of State office, and I Thank you guys are doing a great job so far! :-))

I made an appointment, showed up on time, had all the necessary documentation to renew my tabs and license. I was in and out in 13 minutes! Kristina was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

This is solely a review for one person! Alex is amazing, caring, funny, and informational! So helpful I was dreading coming in until he took care of me. I left with a smile and tasks completed. I would say every time I’ve been in the check in people have noticeably had significant attitudes and are not very polite towards others. I understand it’s hard to deal with people, but just be professional.

We used this office today to get a state ID for our child who has severe disabilities. The ladies at this office could not have been more helpful, accommodating, and kind! It went so much better than we anticipated. We are so grateful and will use this specific location for all of our business moving forward.

Took a chance on a walk-in just needing new tags when the machine didn't work and was outta there in less than 10 minutes so ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very easy, and convenient. Scheduled an appointment online. Went in , the greeter asked me to get in line. And out in 15 mins. It was an easy transaction.

Miss Shelly greats everyone with a smile,which is covered by a mask but you can still tell she has a smile; she treats you with professionalism and gets you where you need to be. You can't believe how many people show up without an appointment and still she fits them in line without interrupting those who have appointments. She is so kind and helpful. The professionalism and kindness continued at the counter with Eric, who quickly took care of two issues for me and answered several questions. Today was a picture of how God blesses us by others. Thank you hard workers at Secretary of State.

Excellent experience after making same day appointment.

Great Customer service, I went to get a permanent Parking placard and a disability plate , being a walk up, I was selected to receive it after a thirty minute time , Thank you for your accommodation. Much appreciated. 🙂

I was able to renews tabs for 2 cars in less than 2 minutes using the kiosk. No line and no appointment needed for the kiosk either. 7/19/22 Had an appointment. Things went quick and painless. Employee was friendly, knowledgable and helpful!

Very easy, no others were there when I went so likely a unique experience for me. The ladies were kind and honest. The process was straight forward and I only paid part of the estimated fee for my traffic infraction. Nearly painless.

We had titles updated and plates with State Park added. Very efficient workers👍

People make snide comments about the Secretary of State's office so I made an appointment and expected the worst. I went in with my laptop to work and some snacks. I got there at 1pm, was greeted at the door, and I left at 1:11pm. The customer service was excellent, quick, and easy to understand. I would highly recommend choosing this Secretary of State office for those seeking a good one.
