I love this gym. I am strictly a class participant and do not work out individually. Each and every instructor has been excellent - friendly, professional, and always concerned about safety and technique. It's small enough to make it personal and not a ware house of machines and bodies. We are consistently greeted with a friendly hello upon arrival and leave with a wish for a nice evening when we leave. Always clean too.

Hard to beat Powerhouse when it comes to gyms in the area. The gym is clean, and the equipment and weights are in great shape. Powerhouse does an awesome job staffing this place, everyone working the front desk is incredibly helpful and they really want to get to know their members and their goals. The yoga teachers are all top-class as well, and the classes they offer are very beneficial. The importance of staff is huge, without dedicated employees there would probably be a much more corporate feel, but you don't get that here. I really can't say enough good things about the place, definitely worth checking out.

I would like to thank Matt for the behind the scenes effort to get the steam room up and running. To be able to cap off a good workout by removing toxins makes the entire process 10 times better for me. Thanks for the follow-up!

I have been a member at Powerhouse Birmingham for several years. Good gym with a wide range of well maintained a clean equipment. Good changing rooms. Friendly well informed staff. Gym members all appear to attend for all the right reasons - to use the equipment and to stay fit.Great value.

Wish I would have joined earlier...just discovered what a great gym this is! Welcoming, helpful, clean, well- equipped. I am really enjoying the BodyPump and Yoga classes!! Parking can be tricky sometimes so leave yourself time if attending a class.

Great gym that I’ve joined, left and rejoined a couple times due to moving / college. Excellent service and not like other gyms that make it impossible to cancel (huge reason to come back). Were also very accommodating during the COVID shutdown. 24 hour service was critical - wish more gyms were like this one.

My husband and I have belonged to Birmingham Power House over 3 years and we absolutely love it! The staff is friendly, it's always super clean and we love the equipment set-up and layout of the gym. We'd highly recommend this gym to anyone ;)

I have been a member of Powerhouse gym in Birmingham for close to three years. I find it to be Birmingham's little secret. It's very conveniently located in downtown Birmingham directly across the street from one of the city-owned garages where you can park for two hours at no cost. The cleanliness of a health club is very important to me and, in this regard, Powerhouse of Birmingham is certainly above par. I have been a member of clubs that did not maintain their equipment, but, this club is not one of them. I also like the fact that they use top-of-the-line equipment. I don't care for the "big-box" health clubs that lack intimacy. Powerhouse is cozy, yet, has everything I need which includes weight machines and a wide variety of cardio equipment. One other thing I like about the club is that the people who work there are professional and friendly and there has been very little turnover in full-time personnel in the time I have been a member. My only regret is not joining sooner.

Easily one of the best gyms in Michigan. Staff is friendly and personable. The gym itself is always updated with latest equipment and decor/upgrades to always making it always look prestine. The gym is clean and organized. Highly recommend

Powerhouse Birmingham is a great place to work out! The facilities and equipment are state of the art. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The gym attracts an affable clientele who mind their own business and are there for one thing - to work out! Five big stars!

The things I love about this GYM....
1. It is clean
2. Huge variety of well kept equipment
3. Yoga classes - I like that they have a lunchtime yoga class scheduled.
4. The proximity to my office allows me to actually get off my butt, walk 2 blocks and get some exercise
5. Employee know my name and are always in a great mood.

I have been going to this gym for about 4 months and I have nothing but praise! Staff is extremely friendly and gym/locker room is always clean, any cardio/weight machines that you might need, a large array of freeweights, and a steam room & sauna!

This is a gym that's run how it should be. They take care of the things from big to small. My brother goes there also religiously and told me a story that wasn't surprising because of the family atmosphere there. He has 2 kids, lives 5 miles away, and forgot his shorts. Realized this when he got to the front desk and begrudgingly started to walk out as others were walking in. The front desk attendee called out and when my brother explained his predicament he was shocked when the guy offered him a pair of his gym shorts. He declined because he didn't want to take the guys shorts from his bag when he needed them for his own workout. But then he accepted the very kind offer when the guy told him that "I can take the day off, but you are on all the time with two kids and a wife to go home to." I think you pay for what you get at most gyms and at powerhouse you get a lot more.

A very clean facility with lots of options of equipment to train with. The staff - Matt, Jeff, Ethan, Christi, Taylor - all are so friendly and helpful and so are the trainers - Oksana, Chuck, Christina, et al. The credit for cleanliness of this facility goes to Vladimir.

Great gym, been a member going on two years. Great staff & never too busy. Could use another power rack though.

Nicest people and incredible facility. Front desk was helpful setting up a drop in - just nice people and a great facility. Really enjoyed open studio space. If I lived here, I would work out here.

I am constantly inspired and challenged by the great instructors at this gym. Because they change up the classes and schedule, you're never bored. Awesome experience.

Great location, clean and good equipment but too many people on their cell phones. They have a policy against using them on the gym floor but they don't enforce it.
