Love the food not the service. Fresh delicious breads and cakes. The smoked salmon is better than anywhere else. Their beets is better than the ones at supermarkets. Lot of European goods you won't find anywhere else. Attendants do not speak English so you have to know what you want and not expect answers.

Best store for so many things. Would be easier to navigate if i spoke more Russian, but it's a great place to practice while I'm learning! Plus the produce is always delicious and fresh!

Hungry for Russian groceries? This is the place. Practice reading the Cyrillic alphabet on every aisle. Produce is great quality. Lots of frozen dumplings/pelmeni. Stroganoff available in the deli - yum. Dark bread too.

I love this store that has a great variety of high quality inexpensive foods from Russia and Eastern Europe. Specifically, I like to shop for Russian pelmyeny "пельмени" here as well as for bakery and meat products, vegetables and Russian sour drink called kvas "квас". This store has also a great selection of exceptional beers, wines and hard liqueurs from Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Caucasus region that are hard to find in a regular American liqueur store. The staff is multilingual, very friendly and very helpful. Without any hesitation, I can recommend this store to people who want to explore and taste amazing Eastern European cuisine.

They have the most interesting things here and everything is written in Russian. I was fortunate enough to go with a tour guide to this place who translated everything for me and explained to me where everything came from so I suspect this added a lot of positivity to my experience here. Hopefully somebody can learn from my experience to go here and buy these little ice cream things. They're like frozen cheesecakes but much lighter and they come in different flavors and I absolutely fell in love with them.

Fascinating atmosphere. You can learn additional Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, even Italian food vocabulary.
People watching is also great as the customers have beautiful Eastern European faces generally.

Great Russian supermarket. Has hot food, canned goods, a small bakery with cakes and bread, candy, pelmeni dumplings and other Eastern European odds and ends. Staff is pretty friendly and helpful. Baltika No. 6 is a great dark beer! If you have any interest in Russian staple food, stop by.

Baza is a great store with lots of Russian and eastern European selections. They have a great liquor section as well. And a delicious bakery!

You know when you get to an authentic Russian style grocery store when you realize you can’t read the label. My experience has been really good with this place and I come here a lot. Good price, good variety of stuff, and good alcohol. For pre made food, I like the cabbage rolls for some reason. And not to say they have a bar of dessert that you can get by pounds. And they have some interesting things - as an Asian, I love Russian dumplings.

I frequently visit this Baza and I can not say enough good things about the customer service I receive, they always have a wide range of products. It makes finding the products I'm looking for very easy because of how clean and organized the store is. They have made my holidays in the past a breeze because I have requested things for them to cook for me and it was done perfectly just as I asked.

If you live Eastern Europe food this place is for you. There are fresh fruits, produce, wine and beer from Russia, Lithuania, even ready made dishes from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland. The even have caviar.

Pro tip : there are some western European products, fruits and vegetables and meats are cheaper than the main known supermarkets.

The service is on par with my experience in Eastern European stores (which is remarkably consistent even in stores in Ukraine), but I think that is part of the charm. I usually push my husband to speak to them in their native tongue (but he does the same to me in Chinese stores), but they can definitely speak English. They have a wide variety of Eastern European treats, and the Sweet Kiss cheese is amazing (though, this time, only the raisin version, no peach). Lots of teas from all over and the fruit and veg selection can be quite good (do pay attention as with any store, sometimes, cheaper produce may be close to expiration!). Lots of unique snacks and wines you can't find anywhere else!

Baza is the place you can find some exotic cakes and food, and beverage. Love the taste, especially the Napoleon cake.

Always nice to go back to this store. They have everything you could think of from Ukrainian/Russian cuisine. Pricey, but everything always so delicious. Bakery is a top notch 👌, cooked food, everything is so good. I wouldn't buy veggies or fruit from there, but all other food is definitely good
