I've been fortunate enough to be able to shop at this store for almost a decade and time and time again they prove they are simply the best at what they do and serving the community around them.

I won't bore you with details but anytime I needed help and was in a jam these guys have been a friend.

Awesome local grocery shop that has literally improved my quality of life since discovering it 3 years ago. Great selection, prices, service and quality all within an easy walk or bike from home and office. No more standing in lines for overpriced or limited selection at the big name chain stores.

Excellent variety of quality foods considering the size of the store. Fresh, organic produce at incredibly reasonable prices. If I lived in the neighborhood, I could/would easily do the majority of my grocery shopping here. Small business and friendly service.

I've been shopping here since the early 70s when John Kurkman was alive. Unique place. very small, only three aisles but they have almost everything -- Not every example of everything but usually the best of each type of item. Quality is high. Rarely over-ripe fruit, green beans are picked over and only the best ones packages, ears of corn are partially shucked and cleaned before packaging, etc. Fresh veggies, fruits, meats (including a butcher and deli), selection of cheese, wines, beers, frozen. And, if you are a regular they will stock unusual items for you. And you can order special items like a holiday ham or prime tenderloin. Prices are surprisingly competitive. It is rarely crowded. I can do a full week's shopping in about 15-20 minutes. Checkout is quick and they will carry bags to the car for you. They also deliver in these pandemic times.

This is a great place to shop! I have been going to Kurkman's for 25 years and the staff has always been kind and helpful to me. I appreciate the amount of work and thought that is put into the choices of products at Kurkman's. The size of the market is just right for quick, convenient , and complete shopping. My highest praise goes to the Staff of Kirkman's!

This is my go to spot. Everyday I got a Arizona and a bag of gummies. Less than $3 and amazing.

Great place to shop for food, (they don’t have long lines!!) and always have an assortment of food from quick snacks to eat when hungry, to food for a nice sit down dinner.

This small neighborhood grocery store is a gem, complete with a great selection of goods and a charming friendly staff. I don't know how they do it, but they manage to stock pretty much everything I need, including a great selection of wines and cheeses, fresh baked goods (including real French-style baguettes and croissants!), a fully stocked deli and excellent fresh produce. They even manage to stock a great variety of high-end teas, biscuits, jams---even fresh pâté--all at great prices given that they're the only place within walking-distance of this small neighborhood (Brookline's once notorious "Whiskey Point"). Although I sometimes wish that they were open on Sundays, I realize that everyone deserves a day off!

Amazing little neighborhood market in a little corner of Brookline. Selection is surprisingly extensive for such a small store, with a great assortment of wine, beer, coffee, and artisanal cheese. The owners tell me that the majority of the goods in the shells are by request from their customers, and I can confirm that day definitely do order items when you ask them to. I definitely recommended!

This is my “go to” local place. High quality inventory- a little of everything. Nice, helpful staff. A bit pricey but for the small quantities I can buy it works out as I have little waste.

Great neighborhood store. I wouldn't go out of my way to get there, but man, it's great to have this place next door. Every neighborhood could benefit from a general store like this.

Best grocery store in the area and is in an extremely convenient place. Often has everything you need.

Kurkman's has always been there for me. Even in a major storm. And the produce is always very good. I've lived behind them on Prince Street from the beginning.

When you don't want the crowds you go here but yet it has everything you won't be disappointed everything from fruit to meet canned goods dairy the whole bit I love it it's convenient and no crowds

So convenient, great selection of quality fresh groceries foods in a small local place, priced accordingly but not more than whole foods

Great little store, much better stocked than your traditional "corner store" and the staff are very friendly.
