Working with AMEK was a dream. We worked with AMEK to completely remodel our main living area (kitchen, living room and dining room) from a cramped, closed in, disconnected space into an open concept kitchen/living room and we couldn't be happier with the results. From November 2023 through Feb 2024 we have been highly impressed with the entire experience.

Brenton was great to work with as we established the scope of the project and the particulars of the contract, and he took genuine interest in our project and how it was progressing.

Working with Hanna and Maddie on the design and layout was a breeze. They listened to our needs, how we wanted to address the issues with our old space, and came up with multiple options that addressed our desires while also providing us with invaluable guidance through each step of the design process.

Asher and Derrick managed our project so smoothly it felt surreal, and we really appreciated their care and attention. They communicated wonderfully about each step of the demo and construction process: what to expect and when to expect it, who would be on-site and when, and were able to address any issues or requests with the utmost patience and professionalism.

Their official AMEK demo/build team was great to have around the house as they worked too. They were considerate, professional, personable, dedicated to quality, and had excellent taste in music. As I was working from home I interacted with them every work day and was left really impressed with the team.

We started collaborating with Matt and Sara in January 2023 after our original kitchen remodel fell through. They created 3 different designs within our budget to choose from. They listened to our ideas and modified a plan that better aligned with our needs.

The remodel started in May and went through September. We had David as our field manager and it was a pleasure to work with him! We decided to stay in our home during the remodel so it was interesting living without a kitchen! All the workers who worked on the project were friendly and respectful.

Additionally, the process for picking out the finishes was actually fun and enjoyable! They listened to our ideas and were able to make them a reality. We wouldn't change a thing!

As part of the plan, the team moved our old staircase into a new location, which opened up the floor plan for the kitchen, mud room, living room and dining room. Our house feels so different now (in a good way!). It’s hard to imagine what our house used to be. It turned out better than we could have ever imagined! Thanks AMEK!

We love how our new addition, screen porch, and floor plan turned out for greater one-level living! We appreciate how the ENTIRE AMEK Design + Build team helped us through the whole process from start to finish: listening to our goals, fine tuning the design, making complementary selections, and guiding us through the production schedule and finishing touches. Our favorite parts include the arched stove hood and niche, French-style porch doors and pocket doors, organized custom cabinetry, and the epic island to gather around while hosting family and friends. We’ve thought about remodeling for a long time. We’re so happy we finally got serious about moving ahead because it’s amazing to be in this new space every day!

We had a virtually painless experience w Amek. We had weekly updates regarding changes and budget, design help that met and honored our needs and the craftspeople in and out if our home were respectful and efficient. Our basement is now our beautiful “lower level”. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend them.

We completed a whole house remodel with AMEK all the while living here. The whole process went smoothly from design concept to execution of the build. First time we have ever had a positive experience with any builder or contractor! We adore how it turned out and have a house that we can live in for the rest of our lives.

The remodel of my main level floor plan really opened up the space and eliminated the congestion around the front door. It feels so much larger and lighter now. The designer took my idea and went farther with it than I had imagined and the end product has the feel of a complete redo. The team was very professional, timely and friendly as well as keeping me completely updated as to what was scheduled to happen next. Also, the new cabinetry is an exact match to the existing cabinets. I am very pleased with the process and the outcome and would recommend this company to anyone anticipating an update to their space.

We remodeled our entire main level. From the entry in the garage, to the laundry room, powder room, kitchen, living area, stairway to 2nd level, and additional upstairs laundry. Every aspect in every room turned out flawless. When asked what they could’ve done different or better, we couldn’t come up with a thing. They were always on time, pleasant, and very informative. If you are looking to remodel your home, AMEK should be at the top of your list.

AMEK team is just wonderful to work with. AMEK designed and built our sun room. The moment we met Matt at the re-modelers showcase we felt AMEK would be the one. Sara and Lacey came up with ingenious designs to meet our needs and paid attention to details. Usually any new construction is stressful, but John made this process smooth and stress free. He informed us of the weekly schedule and plan. We were so comfortable with them in our house that we even went on vacation for two weeks during the construction. Great team, wonderful people and above all professional.

Highly recommend AMEK. Their whole team is friendly and thorough. They took care to listen to our design wishes and tastes. Matt, Sarah, Lacey, Brad and the team were great to work with. All did a great job taking us through the process. Their timelines were spot on. The carpenters were friendly, did quality work and took care of the job site well. We love our new kitchen and bathroom!

Can’t say enough great things about the remodeling experience with AMEK. Great vision and execution. They remodeled our basement and turned an unused/avoided portion of our home into an oasis. They’re understanding of our needs and design sense was on point from our first interaction with Matt (co-owner) to the final punchlist with Asher was exceptional. Great value. We did an extensive (3 month) interior home remodel of our 1950's rambler. They were able to redo the entire floor plan and maximize our space. It has been transformed into an open, welcoming, entertaining-friendly and livable space. They help you through the process, without rush or pressure. They treat you like family and have the best designers in the Twin Cities. Their production team ensures that everything is taken care of, and on time. Their post-completion follow up to ensure your satisfaction is very evident. We wouldn't have done a remodel without AMEK. We were happy that they had the experience to make our dream a reality. We had AMEK convert our existing deck to a 3 season porch. From the design to the build to the finish, the AMEK team was attentive, professional, highly skilled and responsive. We absolutely love our addition. Highly recommend the AMEK team!

Amek remodeled our bathroom in July 2017 and it looks fantastic. Matt, Mark, and Shy were a great team to work with. They were very organized laying out the project and the time when each part of the project would be completed. Communication was outstanding throughout and always had an update. They helped us stay with in our budget and build the bathroom we wanted. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to find a great design and execution team.

We hired AMEK to do some interior work on our home and my wife and I could not have been more happy. The communication level from the whole team was by far the best I have experienced from a contractor in any industry. Their job site employees were prompt and very professional. We felt comfortable with them in our home and they did a fantastic job. They will be invited back in the spring to finish up a few other things my wife has been asking for. Thanks AMEK!

We had half of our home rebuilt by AMEK. We were very pleased with the project before during and after. Their crews were responsive to our requests, neat, and professional. When a drainage issue by the foundation appeared they found a good solution to the issue that continues to work well.
