This park is amazing, great for hiking, BBQ, skiing. In August, the white water lilies in the park lake are in full bloom, very beautiful. If you want to enjoy the white water lily at close range, you can bring your own kayak down to the lake to enjoy it.

Really cool trail system a lot of floating walk ways and water views. Muskrats playing in the water, turtles floating around. Lots of birds chirping and hanging out. Long main trail and many side trails that circle around the lakes out there.
If you do hike around out there make sure u have a trail app like all trails or GMaps to help guide you around. So many side trails and places to go. One of the nicest hiking trails in the twin cities if you like long hikes and nature.

Always enjoy hiking in these trails. Several entry points to different parks of the park. Many lakes to walk around. A good section of trail is paved for easy walking. Rolling hills for a variety of views and terrain. The majority of the trails can be done in loops, very few out and backs.

Had a blast out kayaking today. The staff is always so friendly and professional. Cheap rentals and equipment is well maintained.

I love this park! There are so many trails, lakes and small ponds to discover. It's also large enough to get "lost in the woods" without really getting lost. The trails are well marked and there are maps everywhere. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful place to walk! Walked around Lake McDonough and Jensen Lake and were both beautiful! So many different trails to take! Just being out in nature will make you forget the stress of life. Would highly recommend!

There are various parking lots at Lebanon Hills. Most of them have an associated building with restrooms and picnic areas. The winter trails for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking are relatively extensive and have good views traversing small lakes. The trails are also very well marked and most junctions include a msp

What a nice place to relax and especially to have a family reunion! It was difficult last year, when we were caught with rain & chill in June 2018, We found out after the fact, you can bring your own canopies to use if there is rain. This year's June 1st reunion was amazing, with matching amazing weather! There are outlets along a ledge that goes all along the center wall in the back middle of the space we rented, so we were able to keep food warmed/ hot. There are great views at this shelter and it's fairly close to the visitor's center, an awesome fire pit, picnic tables & grills, as well as walking trails around the little beach & beyond. We're probably going to keep booking this place year after year. Love this park! Staff are very helpful & pleasant, as well.

Truly a hiker's paradise!

For a park this close to the Cities, it's pretty amazing just how many miles of hiking you have and also how alone you can feel at times on the trails!

My personal favorite route is to start at the far Eastern parking lot, and then go up to the Equestrian Trailhead, then begin heading west until you meet up with Southern Voyager, then follow this all the way to the Jensen Lake loop, go around the lake, and then you can either head back the same way or take Northern Voyager. It's almost exactly 7 miles to do this trail and honestly one of the best hikes I've ever been on.

Tons of white-tail deer, wild turkeys, and turtles at this park. Have also seen coyotes on rare occasion. There is a county ranger/sheriff who patrols this park on a weekly basis and he'll sometimes give a friendly warning not to go on the equestrian trails.
Really wonderful park overall! You can rent equipment online or at the visitor center.
About 2,000 acres and I like being able to refill water at both the visitor center area and the Jensen Lake trailhead. Also a nice beach and swimming area near the visitor center. Wish I had taken more autumn pics but have some pics from all 4 seasons.

Great place to be close to nature without having to drive for hours. Since our last visit more picnic tables and grill stands have been added. There are 2 big decks too with wheelchair access.

Absolutely best ski trails....easy to moderately challenging but nicely/deeply “tracked” x.c. trails that are all well marked and beautifully scenic. All trail winding through deep hardwood and pine forests with ponds, streams, and lakes all interconnecting. We skied for 4 hours and didn’t see 10% of this vast preserve. Helpful staff at the visitors center were welcoming and customer oriented. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I love this park! Went on a moderate loop and did about five miles. Lots of choices for hiking. Cross country skiing in winter. Trails are quite muddy right now so be prepared with adequate shoes. Great birding too!

A great place to hike, there is a beach you can kayak or canoe. This is a very nice Regional Park. A few trails are paved if your party includes a wheelchair. There is free EV charging at the parking lot near Schultz lake.

Best trail signs ever! This was a lovely hike in a beautiful fall day. Heard about the trail here from a friend who wasn’t able to join us, so we went anyway and were glad we did. Saw a really cool water snake when we stopped for lunch and sat on one of the many benches along the trail. Fairly easy hike with a few small hilly sections.

I went here today to go paddleboarding and had a great time paddling on the handful of different ponds and lakes. I started at the portage located at the Jensen Lake Canoe/ kayak launch and traveled by water on my paddleboard and by foot through the trails carrying my inflatable sup on the trails. There are 6 different portages where you have to get off and walk to next lake or pond and the are not very long. I took a break at the visitor center for lunch and turned around and went back to where I began. I saw a turtle some cool birds and heard an owl. It took about 4 hours round trip and found it very nice to get out into nature and hear, see and smell all the things. There are also lots of hiking trails in the area as well. Great way to spend an afternoon off!

Made a habit of coming here weekly, it's a really huge place I enjoyed walking endlessly. Not a lot of people, it's got vistas and lakes and lots of nice views.

Plenty of hike/horse trails. A good place for family, friends, photographers etc. There’s a small beach which is pretty clean but no dogs allowed on the beach. It’s safe enough to go off trail and picnic. It’s a huge park packed with people, but if you are a regular you’ll find spots for yourself.
