Fairfield by Marriott Boston Medford

This location checked all the boxes for a Fairfield. I love that it's located next to public transit to take a train into Boston.

Dan at this location needs a RAISE!

I arrived to Boston on July 26th and unfortunately with flight delays and other issues, I needed a hotel room at 12am. With every hotel in the Boston area seemingly BOOKED, I finally had a glimmer of hope at this location from a Marriot customer service rep on the phone. After arriving at this location at around 1:30am, I was greeted by Dan, who unfortunately had to inform me that the reservation I thought I made, was cancelled and they too, were totally booked and the reps were misinformed. As a young girl entirely alone with 2 suitcases and NO options, I had no idea what to do and I was scared. Any city at night is dangerous - especially Boston.

Dan kept me calm and called a hotel or two to see if they had any availability, with 0 success. While to Marriot management, this may be against protocol, what he did next was totally ABOVE and BEYOND what a customer service rep could ever do. Dan let me up into the lounge, gave me a water, and a snack. He said he wouldn't leave me out on the street, as he was aware, there were NO hotels available ANYWHERE.

After informing me that his manager wasn't too happy he was letting me hang in the lounge at 3:30am, which was a totally fair argument, I would never want him to risk his job to help me, he fought for me to get an open room at the location. He told me he wasn't going to back down until I was safe. Finally, at 4am, I was able to book a room. He changed my check-out time to 1pm so I could get plenty of sleep before continuing my travel.

I will never forget Dan's kindness that night. He went above and beyond as an employee at Marriott. While I understand there are protocols and rules staff are expected to follow, I was so grateful Dan decided to prioritize my safety. Dan recognized the danger of the situation and I will be forever grateful for his service that night. My mom appreciated it even more, knowing her daughter was safe and had someone looking out for her. Thank you DAN, you are an example of what a truly good human is. This was not apart of your job and you went above and beyond and should be rewarded for your kindness and good nature.

It was noisy, towel was rough, paper thin windows, noisy air condition, and parking lot is across the street. But the bed was comfortable and friendly staffs. We won't go back.

A gem find, the privileged location is the greatest, right across the street from one of the Medford train stations, a few minutes from the Assembly Mall.

What a wonderful staff and place to stay. We have had a couple of travel issues and the hotel has been accommodating and beyond helpful. The location is great, with restaurants within steps of the hotel. This is our go to hotel when we visit our daughter in Boston.

They need more parking, but so does everyone in Medford. The breakfast was good, they had my favorite type of apple (gala) so that earned extra points. My stay was less than 24 hours so I didn't get to use many amenities, but I was satisfied with my stay.

Very clean rooms, not the biggest room I have ever stayed in (reminds me of New York City rooms, big enough for one maybe two people but not much more) free breakfast included.. eggs and premade sausage biscuits as well a cold cereal, fruit, oatmeal and fresh bread.

Had a very pleasant experience! Friendly staff and nice breakfast! A bit hard for the rideshare apps to find but make sure to communicate :)

Great staff, rooms. Parking is the only drawback with very limited free parking, but the garage is a fraction of the price of downtown Boston.

Great service! Lovely rooms and super comfortable. Parking was extremely convenient as well and super close to the city. Loved our stay at Fairfield Inn Medford.

The staff made our first stop on the honeymoon special by providing a basket of goodies in the room on check in. The hotel itself is modern and only a short walk to the T.

Unbelievable staff that go above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed my stay. They provided guidance on where I should visit and eat during my stay.

Very nice new hotel convenient to MBTA so you don't need a car or parking fees for going to Boston.

Das Personal hat meine bestellten Medikamente angenommen und war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.
Das Essen war gut und absolut ausreichend. Die Lounge ist sehr stilvoll!
Die Lage ist innerhalb eines Komplexes wo mehrere neue Hotels stehen. Einkaufs- und Dinniermöglichkeiten sind genug vorhanden, auch der gegenüberliegende Park ist schön zum Spazieren. Das einzig störende ist auch hier die stark befahrene Straße und die Polizeistation. Die Fenster sind jedoch gut isoliert und die Klima funktioniert gut. Auch ein Kühlschrank ist vorhanden. Alles rundum perfekt! 👍

Muy bueno, bastante limpio, cómodo, muy amable el personal, check-in anticipado por disponibilidad, muy cerca del metro con acceso rápido a Boston, zona muy tranquila, nivel de ruidos muy bajo, buena cama… buen descanso.
El único detalle muy pocos espacios de estacionamiento en el hotel, pero con el pago de 12hs d por día te dan acceso a un parking lot frente al hotel.
