Strader's Garden Center

Best garden center around! Great selection of products and the store is exceptionally clean. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I will never go anywhere else!

Shawnee Hills Strader's is my local garden center. I've been coming here for 5 years. Today when I showed up they were training new folks and I announced that I wanted to buy several products to amend my raised garden beds. The employees in the know about raised bed gardening told me that I only really needed 1 of those products and steered me in the right direction. It cost me less money, and they got less of a sale, but the fact that they care is huge. It's why I keep coming back and don't go to the national chains.

In the past several days, we have purchased trees and the necessary soil, mulch,etc. from Strader's. In all cases we received excellent service, guidance and advice on suggestions for what might best suit our landscape. The prices were comparable to other local nurseries, and the service much better.
While Strader's is a little further from our home, the extra few miles are more then worth it. Thank you to the lovely people we are fortunate to have met. And, for our pretty, new trees.

Strader's is a great place to shop for plants and flowers. They have a kind and helpful staff who have helped me choose the best plants/flowers for different areas of my yard. In the Spring they stock their greenhouses in a very orderly fashion so it's easy to find what you need.

Excellent experience with great employees and prices. I was looking for an artificial Christmas tree and after visiting 5-6 other big name stores, someone told me to visit Strader's. I'm sure glad I did - the quality and selection of the trees was unlike any other store I had visited. The pricing put the cherry on top (they were doing an increased sale for Black Friday weekend) and the decision was a no-brainer. After telling the employee that we were looking for a non-lit tree around a specific height she began showing us around. We appreciated her honest opinion while trying to decide which tree to purchase.
I will certainly be recommending Strader's to anyone who is looking for a Christmas tree! Thank you!

Strader's was the the only garden center in Central Ohio where I was able to find a Buckeye tree to purchase. That alone is worth 5 stars. Customer service was excellent. Even though my purchase was only one small tree, I was assisted in finding the right one and educated on proper planting and care.

My Christmas Tree lights wouldn't light. So I fiddled with them to no avail. My wife was sick. I was frustrated and my wife decided that, instead of spending more time on the stupid lights, just buy a new tree (with money we really didn't have). She called Strader's about a new tree, and the person recommended that we give his manager a try. He supposedly, was some sort of Christmas Tree Light Savant. Rates were $50/ hour. This sounded good. Certainly worth $50 to $100 or so to get my Christmas spirit back!
I dropped the tree off, provided my information and was told that in about 2 days, I'd probably get a call to pick up my tree. They asked, and I told them that I did purchase my tree from them a few years ago.
2 days later, I got a call and my tree was done. They researched it and apparently, my tree was under warranty and there was NO CHARGE for the repair!
I brought the tree home and it worked perfectly. To sum this up; The employees were polite and attentive. The manager was honest, prompt, and turns out has a nak for fixing Christmas Tree lights, as advertised!
I don't believe I have ever given a 5- star review on anything. I reserve 5- stars for above and beyond and frankly, I never see "above and beyond" performance. Great job Strader's! 5- Stars! Woo Hoo!

I called this location and someone took the call immediately! The associates are friendly and helpful. I specifically was looking to buy sod and first called the Riverside location, since it's closer to me, but they just ran out of sod but were quick to point out that their Dublin location had plenty at their location. I drove to this store, paid for the sod at the register, and they even asked if I needed plastic covers for my car so I don't end up with mud all over. I drove yo the rear of the store where an associate was slready gathering the sod for me. They loaded it in and i was quickly on my way home. The store is clean and orderly too. Great experience.

This is a gem of a garden center. Product selection and organization is great, but above all things the service is exceptional. We purchased an indoor plant and pot here on the weekend, and the time their greenhouse expert took to help us was fantastic. One of the best shopping experiences ever. She was knowledgeable and helpful and even expertly repotted the plant for us into the new pot, saving us a lot of time and a huge mess at home had we done the repotting ourselves. We will be back!

This place is awesome. They know the definition of “Customer Service,” unlike their counterpart down the road on Bethel and Riverside, they have friendly and knowledgeable employees that go the extra distance (especially Nick...great guy!) to make your garden everything you want! It’s worth the extra time to get to this location for the great service. Don’t go to their “Home Office” on Riverside and Bethel, they know only how to be rude, but these employees are great! Highly recommend this site!!

I've never been to this location before but I think this is my new favorite! There is a wide variety of plants and they weren't even stocked yet for spring! Lots of different types of cacti and succulents and soo many houseplants! And different types; golden pothos, neon pothos, starfish sansiveria, moonshine...! Monstera, heart leaf philodendren, arrowhead plants, Swiss cheese vine, crotons, ivys, calatheas, peperomias, so many types of ferns, ..I honestly could go on and on...
I think I ran into the manager or owner who was very friendly! He mentioned that if I wanted to know names of any plants to ask Judy (I think, I may be wrong!) And I kind of wish I would have because I am a nerd and love to know all the different types of plants I have! But I got too nervous 🙃. Even the girl at checkout was super friendly and we chatted a bit about my selections.
I didn't even mention the amounts of decorations and pots and soil and cute stuff they have!!
Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back!

Heading into Columbus Ohio today. We were running quite a bit early so I Googled near by garden centers. It took us to Straders and bit we're we suprised. The place and crew were very inviting. The greenhouses are beautiful. Now my wife has a new place to go with her mother plant going plant shopping. I will be coming back next spring, maybe sooner.

Early this morning while I was at strader's garden center. I observed the staff on how they are with their customers and I was very impressed with one of the employees named Joseph/Joey. This employee does outstanding work not only for the company but also his customers. Straders should do something for this employee. To show their appreciation. I look forward to brings my business back soon.

Amazing selection of anything and everything home and garden. Prices seem a bit higher than others but the quality of their stuff is the very best! Very friendly staff Everytime I visit. Always a great variety of flowers to choose from in the Spring. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Their prices are very fair too.
