Holiday Inn Express & Suites Boston - Cambridge, an IHG Hotel

I had a weekend of classes at Harvard and spent three nights at this location. The hotel was immaculately clean, breakfast was hot and plentiful, and Tyler (front desk) was a delight. He went above and beyond to accommodate a late checkout request due to a class running over. We appreciate the ease of this stay during a chaotic weekend.

So I was put on a do not rent list by this hotel! This decision was upheld by the umbrella company IHG. There no reason given to IHG just that I was recently fired from my job act another hotel (Blake's kitchen and bar) at 280 friend street which by the way is roach and rat infested! The reason I was put on this list is because I called to speak with GM Desiree. The day manager Ida took offense to my asking to speak with the GM. She was Truculent way past rude and hung up on me twice. To wit I was put the do not rent list. So if you have problems at this hotel and you want to resolve them? Pray you get past Ida the Miserable! And if you get her then rest assured you be handled rudely your issue won't be resolved and you'll be put on the do not rent list. Also it not a very nice hotel anyway.

A reasonably priced hotel for Boston. Very good and spacious rooms for the hotel grade. Ideal for work trips. The location is far from ideal if you want to go over the river into Boston, but ok access for Cambridge. Boston traffic!

This hotel has the BEST location for the price. It’s a 5 min walk to the train station where you can go anywhere in Boston so we didn’t need a car. On top of that, the room was spacious and CLEAN! Housekeeping did a great job with our room, we really appreciated it. The breakfast was probably the best I’ve had for continental breakfast in the past few years. Lots of variety and snacks to go! The front desk people both nights were so helpful and kind. They held our bags because our flight was late. When I came back for my bags, I noticed I left my AirPods in the room. Within 5 minutes, they brought them to me. I was so thankful and blessed. Imagine if I forgot them and I live in Georgia 😭. If I had to return to Boston, I’d stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at this Holiday Inn for a weekend getaway. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Edith, the receptionist at the front desk is absolutely amazing! If I were her boss, I would certainly be giving her a raise. The beds are comfortable. The hotel and rooms are very clean and appealing. The hotel is located in a safe location that is only a couple minutes walk to the Boston subway system. There is a grocery store right around the corner from the hotel that is within walking distance.

This location is perfect. Super clean. Absolutely friendly staff that helped us out with more than one thing. Parking was perfect. Our proximity to what we were doing in town was awesome. Only about an 8 minute drive. Warm breakfast was nice with turkey, sausage, egg, omelets, breads, etc. Couldn't have been a better experience.

Clean rooms, very nice and accommodating staff. Gave our entire sports team late checkouts so that we could shower after our tournament finished. Great cleaning service.

If you want extremely comfortable beds, modern clean rooms, and a great location for exploring Boston or Cambridge, this is the place to stay. The hotel is a 5 min walk to the Lechmere stop on the greenline, and an easy location to uber to from Cambridge or Boston. The hotel staff was friendly, the breakfast was well-stocked with good variety. We didn't hear any other guests when in our room, had no issues controlling the temperature, and found the bed & pillows so comfortable we wrote down the mattress type and are considering buying one ourselves. Definitely recommend.

This hotel was amazing !!! The staff were amazing! Manny Certainly outdid himself , the breakfast was absolutely amazing and included in stay!!! The location was a bit ways of everything but beautiful walls were nice from hotel to get to Quincy y market and to the garden! Our bed was so comfortable and everything was so fresh and clean! Including the shower they included the shampoo and conditioner in dispensers! Just unbelievable service thank you !!! Manny and staff you guys provided too notch service we couldn’t be happier

Well, this Holiday Inn Express was everything I expected............ But, they gave me what I expected and more. Upon checking in, the front office staff made us feel so welcome. Joan, in particular, was quite friendly when we were zonked from a long drive. Joan very kindly showed us where to park. Easy, breezy check-in. The breakfast was excellent. Hot and cold items. Very nice. I made a mistake as breakfast goes to 11 am on weekends and 10 am on weekdays. I showed up after breakfast had already been cleaned up. My fault. But the Breakfast manager offered to get me some bagels, fruit, and yogurt which she did not have to do. I was late. Upon checkout, we saw our housekeeper, and she said "Have a nice Day". Check-out was a breeze.
I don't know Joan's title but she brought over-the-top friendliness into the hotel. What a delight. We will return.
Oh, did I say we stayed over a Red Sock weekend game. No matter. They were busy but still extremely nice and welcoming.

Clean, well stocked rooms. Slightly noisy mini fridge, but not a big deal. Location was a bit far from the action near MIT, but there was a nice little park and a strip with restaurants and such just down the road. Would stay here again!

Fantastic place to stay! My wife and I are sensitive to unpleasant smells and OCD about cleanliness and this hotel was spotless and had no unpleasant odors anywhere. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive to every need. You are a 1-2 minute walk from a nice strip plaza with a grocery store, Walgreens and a gym! Walk another 5 min past the strip plaza and you're at an even nicer shopping area with Target etc. Also, theres a nice dog park 1 min away next to the first plaza if your favorite fur baby is with you. If you want to grab a work out the desk gives you a pass to use a fully loaded nice gym that can accommodate any workout. The location is so convenient because you're a 5 min walk to a T station to take you anywhere in the city and 2 min walk from a bus stop. We felt safe in the area and would definitely pick this hotel again for a trip to Boston.

It is a bed and breakfast hotel. I stayed here a few times. Hotel staff managed to do an amazing job everytime.
Linen and washrooms are clean and changed as requested. Breakfast options have a good vegan range.
Most of the important sites are located at a walking distance from here. The night view of the city from top floors is amazing.

Nice hotel with friendly staffs. Room is clean and updated, good size. The design of bed lights is a plus, very convenient for reading in the bed. I was traveling with my Mom who is 84 years old and can't speak English. A young lady at the front desk who can speak Mandarin was very kind and talked with my Mom in great patience. Will stay again.

I came to Boston for Major surgery. The professionalism and courtesy of their staff, compared to other hotels recommended by the hospital, was outstanding. The room was deliciously comfortable, the staff strove to serve, and everything was as smooth as it could be while I was preoccupied by the stress of surgery. Will definitely choose this hotel the next time I come back to Boston for something more fun!

They are doing breakfast. Not a lot of hotels are doing breakfast because of Covid-19 but, they are very organized, clean and they take care of all precautions. Also, the hotel is very clean and sanitize.
I’m happy that we took the decision to come and stayed there for our holidays!

What a Cost effective hotel! Everything is good here! Very honest and professional service people. This hotel makes me feel like I am at my own house. The breakfast is free and good. We switched from Holiday Inn Boston Bunker Hill Area to this Holiday Inn Express, and this Express hotel was way nicer. The Holiday Inn Boston Bunker Hill continues to raise the rate night after night while this Holiday Inn Express has a cheaper price. Another thing that is worth comparing is the location, this Holiday Inn Express has a convenient location while the Bunker Hill one has construction all over the area and is hard to get to the places that you wanted to go. Further, the breakfast here at the Holiday Inn Express is free while the Bunker Hill one has additional costs.

My daughter and I stayed here 2 weeks out of the past month so she could have surgery and radiation treatments at MGH. The staff at the hotel were phenomenal. Every day they got us a complimentary Lyft to and from the hospital. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff frequently checked on us and our needs. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Also, it is located very close to a supermarket and pharmacy, which is great.

I am so glad we got the hotel we did. It is a 3 star hotel and I can tell. I just went down to the lobby to print a letter and they printed it in color, stapled it and put it in a large envelope for me. Then they told me all about how to ride the bus for free and gave me a map of the bus lines and trains. He marked on the map some good places to take the bus and get out and walk around. He told me about the trolley tour too. Also, the clock by the bed has a wireless charging station on top of it, and you can turn the lights on the clock off, which I value as I like it DARK when I sleep. Even clock lights bug me. The outside noise is very minimal. There is a 3 way lamp on the desk that is nice to have dim or bright light. There are USB plugs everywhere you would want one, and such. When I asked for a plastic sheet for the hide a bed, they took care of it and they didn't complain about the stinky bedding either. The only issue is the heat. I set the heater to 78 and my thermometer I brought with me shows it is 68 in here. But at least I have access to set the heater! So many blessings!

Located in the east Cambridge. Can reach to greenline lechmere station within 10mins and bus stop to the Harvard square in few mins on foot. A shopping mall is quite near and convenient. We assigned the top floor. Unobstructed, but not magnificent view. The elevator was little bit slow.
Free breakfast was set on the lobby floor. Some kinds of bread, diary and coffee were prepared. Overall, the average holiday inn express accommodation in good location.
