Feb 2023: Nice atmosphere, good service, ample free parking, plenty of tables and bar space - not busy for a Monday night. Food was good. Convenient location for me so I'll dine here again.
Jan 2024: nice lunch with a friend. Favorite is the power salad with choice of protein. Repeat customers.

We came in last night past our reservation for unforeseen circumstances. We were not questioned but seated with Grace and dignity. Two unhappy kids. Servers and cocktail staff catered to our immediate needs. We were in and out because that was our need for the night. Everyone at the Local was accommodating! Only complaint was clam chowder really didn’t have any clams but did have good flavor. Overall, thank you the Local for welcoming us and catering to our needs!! We’ll be back sans kids ☺

First time eating here. It was nice and quiet at the time that we arrived not packed which is what I like when I dine in. Our waitress was very nice. I would eat here again. I try wings at any restaurant we eat at. They were very good here. I would also recommend the chips because the dip they come with is very good and was something different from other spaces we tried. I forgot to take pictures to post, but the food is good here. Kids had burgers and they're a generous size for kid meals. The steak tips were very good as well. I will say the haddock looked good but maybe with less of the crumble on top might be better. All in all I would eat here again and I recommend anyone to dine here.

Food was great! We decided to get takeout and picnic in a field close by. Had an overall great experience here and I would definitely swing by again.

Lastly, staff was welcoming and kind. Would definitely recommend! Lots of parking, easy to get to.

Excellent place. The food here is great, the poutine in particular though is amazing. Good beers (although pricey $7 each) and friendly staff. Nice decor and beautiful bar. Service was just ok but they were very nice. Will be back again.

I've been here twice and loved it both times. The menu is extensive and the food comes very fast. Service has been great, and their patio is really nice. Highly recommend.

Sunday brunch was great. Not too crowded.

I had the order for take out so I can’t really speak to how well the restaurant is in person. I have had an amazing experience the first time being at this restaurant. The fried Brussels sprouts, short rib and fried pickles are amazing. I normally don’t eat all my fries but this time there was no putting them down. I definitely will be back to order something else!

Please please please support The Local. I eat dinner here every Thursday. I am treated like royalty. The food is ALWAYS delicious and the staff so welcoming, courteous, and attentive!

One of my fave places. Servers are young but very professional. It’s got a great vibe. Fancy but relaxed. Love the outdoors seating when it’s nice. Best brunch around.

Great food, great service, beautiful staff! A true gem. Had the gnocchi which had a great balance of flavors. The truffle cream was expertly constructed and pulled out the nuttiness of the mushrooms. My husband had the burger which was a masterpiece. The beet salad was absolutely delicious and chicken wings had a great spicy kick! Kassandra was an awesome host!

The Local is a lovely small chain restaurant in the Western Boston suburbs. This location in Wayland (Shopping) Town Common. It is as far from Stop&Shop as possible within the same mall. The food was very good. I had the stuffed squash with quinoa, cranberry. They are up with the California trends in food and put a New England spin on the food.

The Local in Wayland never disappoints. From the atmosphere, to the food, to the service, all is excellent! I had rhe salmon...yum! Served with crispy skin still intact, so good! Hubby had the haddock which was equally as good. Can't wait to return.
