ADORABLE diner. It gives you that feel of that place you and your friends used to go in your hometown after a really long Friday night. Wait wasn't long and I actually came back about 2 days later for a second meal. You won't go home hungry. Shouts out to my boy Paul running the show. Good guy right there.

REUBEN REVIEW: SO a bit of a mix up here. They did a RACHAEL here instead of a Ruben so they changed up the corned beef to be turkey. Don't worry they still do a classic as well as a fish based one! The sando itself was pretty good! Wasn't wet at all which is great and the slaw on the side was STELLAR.

HONEY MUSTARD MATCH UP: so I ordered my sando and asked for honey mustard and it didn't come originally so like... I'm down a leg here. But the honey mustard comes out looking like nacho cheese but the taste? Very good balance between mustard and honey. Right in the middle so I'm going to give this a SLUUURP

Superior wait staff. They always take your order very quickly and bring your drinks very fast. Food is cooked perfectly every time and comes out super fast. One of the best breakfast/ brunch places around. Great value for your money and time, highly recommend

Extremely fast service. You aren’t waiting to have your coffee refilled. They just do it. Breakfast was out in about 8 minutes. And it was great! Very clean, good atmosphere. And a mix of everyone inside. Can’t believe I have never been here before.
Oh and the price was very reasonable. Will be back, sorry I didn’t take more photos.

I ordered from them using UberEats and goodness the portions were huge. Was such a delicious breakfast! I forgot to take a picture of the other set that I was able to put aside for dinner 😊😊😊

I have been going to Mel’s for all of my life. Their breakfast and service are always a pleasure. They do a great lunch as well without a doubt. I recommend Mel’s highly.

08OCT2021: I needed to add kudos for Mel’s today. We ordered our breakfast through a delivery service and we did not receive all that we ordered. Before I even realized it the owner was calling me to let me know, and he then delivered the items personally without being asked to. Nothing but the best service and great food from this place for the last 50+ years!

They don't call it Famous Benedict for nothing.. It was really 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We were heading home to North Carolina from a brief vacation in Boston. We hadn't had breakfast yet and my husband did a quick search and found Mel's. Oh my goodness, what a great discovery! The place was hopping and we were lucky to get a table quickly. The service was fast and friendly and the food was fantastic. My husband and I each got an omelet and our son got bacon and eggs. The portions were enormous (we could've split one omelet and had food left over) and very, very tasty. Our server kept our coffee cups filled and checked in on us several times through breakfast. It was a very cozy atmosphere on a rainy Sunday morning and exactly what we had hoped for.

A classic weekend brunch place. Standard breakfast and brunch fare . Great food but expect a wait. One of my all time favorite weekend breakfast places

This place is a Wayland institution! I had steak tips and 3 eggs. It was delicious. Wife had Cape cod BLT which had a fried fish patty (kinda like filet o fish with bacon, lettuce, and tomato). Daughter had fish and chips. Son wasn't hungry and had a bowl of chowder. They were all yummy! Server was super nice.

Delicious food! Environment reminds of a Classic cafe you'd see in a movie. Beautifully set up.

Food options are endless (and ENORMOUS) and their eggs Benedict are IMPECCABLE!

Came from New York and stopped off at this diner. Best diner I’ve ever been to, the food came out swiftly and it was delicious.

First time going here. It's a popular place so had to wait a bit to be seated. The menu options were extensive. It was hard to decide what to get. I ended up getting the French toast with bacon and home fries. It was delicious. Can't wait to go back!!

Mel's is an iconic place where our family gathers for breakfast and lunch. The family have kept this a special and friendly place to get together for years.

Love the place. There food is great and the waiters now my fam and are super nice.

Big fan of diners and this one hit the spot. Portions were generous, service was quick and straightforward, and the food was exactly what you'd expect with breakfast from a diner. We did dine in but they did have a separate counter for pickup orders or to order to-go / coffee + pastries if you're in a rush. Pretty cool.

Overall the feel is a very beloved, frequently visited local diner that knows what people come for- quick food. It's not overly themed, not overly decorated, not super updated, but I gather that's part of the charm.
