Pomegranate Gathering Place

My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner here back in July and I have been meaning to leave a review since!! Our waitress was attentive and hard working, the food was phenomenal and we couldn’t have been more appreciative of the kindness given to make our celebration even a little more special! Make sure you don’t leave without getting one of the baked goods made by the owner! We had one at the restaurant and definitely bought one to enjoy at home as well!

Great restaurant in the most unlikely of places. Beautifully interior with a nice outdoor area. Food is spectacular with a middle-eastern/ Mediterranean profile. Had brunch with Lebanese pancakes and spinach chicken wrap. House made ice-cream to finish. And fantastic service!!

I had my sons rehearsal dinner here. I was absolutely pleased with food, price and service. They will work with you and try to make sure that all your requests have been met. Great place for any group celebration as they have several set price menus. The day we went to talk about how we wanted things done me and my mother stayed to try the food out. They have a melted Brie appetizer that is out of this world, Thank you Alejandro and staff for making the evening perfect.

Stopped for the night and tried this restaurant. The Brie appetizer was delicious. We had that salads and dessert. We did take out and went back to the hotel. An employee from the restaurant drove to the hotel to deliver dressing that had accidentally been left out. I would highly recommend the Pomegranate restaurant the food was great and the service friendly and excellent.

Diana and her team recently catered my wedding. The initial meeting with her and her chef Alejandro was excellent. We weren't exactly sure what we wanted, so they offered some creative options that we ended up using. She worked with our budget and created a wonderful spread at an affordable price, using all locally sourced and sustainable foods which we really appreciated. They arrived promptly, served the delicious food with a smile, and took care of setting up and tearing down everything. She even did three different types of cupcakes and a very specific two-tier cake for us at no additional cost. We had lots of compliments from our guests. Would love to work with her again! Thoroughly enjoyed dinner. I took my 96 year old mother so she could have crab cakes. I had the ribeye (large cut of meat) with a glass of pinot noir. Our server Will was knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive without being obtrusive.
The owner stopped by our table as well and chatted a bit.
We shared the vegan gluten free chocolate cake. It was tasty 😋. I didn't tell Mom it was gluten free and she liked it. (She had bad taste experience with gluten free products in the past.)
Price was right at $70. Not cheap but I felt it was reasonable. Fine dining at last! I don't often get a treat like this. 😊

This restaurant was super. Period. The wait staff was as good as any, the setting was perfect. The building is a little off the main road, but in a good "what a neat find" way. The menu seemed blah to read it ("mac and cheese", "mashed potatoes", etc) but the food was the opposite of blah. The chef is very talented, and my wife and I remarked on how "run-of-the-mill" items (fried calamari in this case) were different, lighter, more interesting. Money was on the pricey side for this area, but we used the phrase "punching above its weight" - a pricier restaurant in the area would play second fiddle to this meal. With the tip, the two of us spent $80, but we did the multiple drinks, dessert, appetizer thing, so we racked up more than we usually do. We could have gotten out for $50 with no regrets. We will be returning with friends.

Super enjoyable evening with live music. Enjoyed splitting the Brie appetizer and salad. One salmon and one ribeye, also to create our own surf and turf! Very well prepared and presented. Lovely service by Samuel! Only thing better would have been the original ice wine request. However, the wine list was extensive enough to still satisfy!

I have been to Pomegranate several times, the location is somewhat out of the way but well worth the drive! The seasonal menu and daily specials are always exciting and unique. If you love wine you will enjoy the wine list and staff's knowledge of wine. The servers are attentive and pay attention to detail. I recommend checking this restaurant out even if you just stop in for a drink and tapas.

Exceptional dining experience in a lovely setting. My husband let Alejandro know of my dining restrictions (vegan and gluten free) ahead of time and they happily accomodated with a special entree and a vegan salad dressing. He also let them know this was a special occasion and Diane made me a wonderful flourless chocolate cake. We will definitely be back!

Very nice wine list with 5 star food. Quite out of the way gem in this tiny town, two exits North of Roanoke along I-81. Well worth the trip and stop, no matter where you are coming from. They also seem to have quite a bit of space for groups and events like weddings or musical ones.

I had a filet mignon at the Pomegranate while traveling the blue ridge stopping in troutsville. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the steak and it was cooked to perfection. It was one of the best stakes I’ve had at a restaurant. If you’re on the road and looking for a quality restaurant that is understated elegance and has a great steak this is it.

Marvelous little restaurant. Check out the menu and the wine list. This is a first class place nestled away in the heart of the Blue Ridge country. Totally unexpected for small town Virginia, but all the more appreciated. While the prices are higher than you'd pay at the local chain place, they're much more reasonable than what you'd see at a comparable establishment in DC or Richmond.

Excellent food! Staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and most kind. This is our go-to place to celebrate---whether it is a birthday, an anniversary, a holiday, or just a Friday! Love it....

While it was a bit slow, the atmosphere, drinks, and food were so nice! Not some place we'd be able to go on a regular basis, my husband and I really enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at Pomegranate.

Pomegranate is an absolute hidden gem in the Roanoke/Botetourt area. The ambiance is perfect for a date night, the staff is accommodating and friendly, and the food.. the food is exquisite. You will NOT be disappointed.

Great food. Very attentive service. Good wine pairings. Positive experience and attitude's. Excellent special event menu.

The best place to celebrate and partake of exceptional food in the Roanoke Valley! Wonderful staff. Alejandro and Diana continue to impress!

Had a delicious meal on the comfortable deck tonight. Very fresh, perfectly cooked, great service. I’ll be back!
