Giant Food

I spent the day here yesterday in the Starbucks section of the grocery store. I was seeking out a relaxed environment where I could do work mainly. The fact that food and drinks were readily accessible was a bonus. The seats and a/c were comfortable, and I greatly appreciated it. Even there were far less customers then what you would see at a stand alone Starbucks. So that being said, it is much more tranquil and better for working. The WiFi signal was on point- double like. I believe that I ended up spending around $20 for food and drink and it was worth it!

Really great staff and a great location with free underground parking. Don't shop on Monday night ad they stock Tuesdays.

Everything you want or need in a grocery store. We were staying in a nearby Airbnb and decided to pick up some breakfast foods to cut down on the cost of our trip. Giant Food came to the rescue with a very lean store with a wide variety of options. They had a great looking produce section with many fresh and tasty options. Not only was the store clean, but the restroom’s were also in good shape and clean. Finally, the service was friendly, helpful, and efficient.

This is a great place to shop. Loved going here when I lived in Crystal City (now in DC). Sadly, don't get here very often now. Store is clean, well-stocked & staff is friendly. Great store! Now shop regularly at the Giant at Wisconsin Ave & Newark Street, NW.

I've been going here since they have been open! Quality and service has never gone down. The staff is friendly and VERY helpful. The options are pretty good, great juice options! Yvonne is very helpful :) 😀

Great location. Always helpful. MAKE SURE TO PARK IN GIANT’S GARAGE (ITS FREE) BECAUSE IF YOU PARK IN THE BIG LOT ACROSS THE STREET (IDA BUILDING/TARGET) YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED BY THE PREDATORY COMPANY DOMINION TOWING (EVEN IF YOU’RE RUNNING IN THE STORE FOR A FEW MINUTES).

Anthony was so helpful, going out of his way to look up and down the aisles and in the back for a product I needed and could not find. Not only that, he told me to keep shopping while he looks and that he will come find me. Truly excellent customer service, Anthony makes you want to shop at this Giant everyday!

Nice grocery store! It’s my go to store to go to. The service is amazing. Jonas (I think it’s his name) is so helpful. And the people that work the carts always offers to take my cart when I am done with it. The environment is amazing.

The Alexandria VA store was so amazing it had things that were not in some MD stores If I only had more coupons money & time it would of been a shopping thrillogy for me big time

Great SHOPPING and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I didn't get there names,but the2 GENTLEMEN in the SEAFOOD DEPARTMENT were AWESOME!!!! When they were NOT BUSY,they asked the customers who were in the PRODUCE/DELIand BAKERY if the could be of SERVICE! PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THEM FOR THEIR GREAT SERVICE. BECAUSE OF THAT SERVICE,I PURCHASED MY BLUE CATFISH FILET! What a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!👍😊💜💜💜

The store is well organized, cleaned and the prices are competitive and of good quality. I enjoy the cold and hot food bar. The prepared meals to grab and go are delicious

Great pharmacy! Good produce and bakery and store is always well stocked. So happy to have it nearby. Update: Super awesome pharmacist. She brightens my mood every time I'm there, and getting my shots is easy, quick, and painless :-)

Not a whole 5 stars, but close. Big store, very clean and usually in stock. 4.8 stars. The .2 is for the floral department. Or lack there of. It’s such a big store so it would be nice to be able to chose from a bigger selection of flowers and plants, should I grab them while I’m there. Other than that, I definitely recommend this giant to everyone.

Store was larger than expected. Produce, bakery and deli areas were nicely stocked and clean as were almost every section of the store. Lots of variety and plenty of sale items available on the shelves. Free samples of a coffee product were being handed out near deli. Convenient underground free parking is a definite bonus!

A few weeks ago, I ordered a cake for my dear colleague's retirement party. I ordered it four days ahead for pickup at 8 a.m., in order to have it to work for an 11 a.m. party. When I arrived at the store, they said they didn't make the cake and the baker wasn't in. I was so upset and disappointed. I had to take a random sheet cake from the display case that was much smaller than the one I'd ordered and wouldn't be enough for all the guests.

When I spoke to the manager to express my disappointment, I was blown away by the response. He wanted me to take the replacement cake completely free, supplied an extra gift card for my trouble, and offered for me to take cards or flowers as well. I really wasn't looking for a hand out so I just left with the cake. He also told me he was going to try to get a cake in the size and flavor I ordered with the writing on top and deliver it to my work, which was 30 minutes across town. I thanked him, but didn't expect much given it was 3 hours until the party.

I was so surprised when he personally showed up at my job by 10 a.m. with the exact cake we needed and a lovely poinsettia for my colleague. I am beyond impressed with this service and that he went above and beyond to make it right. Yes, they failed to make my cake, but this is a five star review because they made it right.

Very nice modern store with good parking. Very good fresh food.
A big part of the attraction of this excellent store are the new Volta EV charging stations. This has made it a real bonus for EV owners. Seems to have weathered supply issues better than most

Great Store l love the staff great quality of fresh food products wonderful atmosphere they hospitality makes you feel at home. I live in Maryland but love shopping here. Congratulations to the management and staff a job well done. The PNC Bank staff are professional and a credit to this store they complete and complement the entire experience warm and willing to go the extra mile.Thank you for all you do in serving community

We’ve been doing grocery pickup here for almost two years now and they manage to put the world’s nicest people on that task. First Chris and Natalie, and now Jen, make it an absolute pleasure to do something usually mundane like picking up groceries.

We love coming to this Giant. Free garage parking. Always has good selection and well stocked shelves. Good wine aisle and good prices too. Friendly staff. Definitely our local grocery store to go to!

Good selection and very clean. Large organic and natural foods section. Produce looks fresh and we'll hydrated. There is free parking in the garage below the building with easy access to the store, including cart elevators. Easy in and out, no ticket required.
