The Majestic

We are visiting our son from MI. He suggested this restaurant. It is quaint and cozy. The server was Ellie, she was great! Very friendly and helpful. My husband got the Parmesan crusted cod. He loved it. I got the dinner special, Lamb Chops! They were fabulous, juicy and perfectly cooked.
I highly recommend this place!

I recently dined at Majestic in Old Town during restaurant week, and it was a delightful experience. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy, not oily, and had a tender texture. The steak fritters disappeared in seconds, showcasing their deliciousness. The sauce was balanced, not overpowering, allowing the meat's flavor to shine. The venue's charming 105-seat setting, with art-deco influences and retro lighting, felt like an intimate jazz club meets art salon. Despite the packed late-night crowd, the service was on point. The fruity mocktail added a refreshing touch, making the overall dining experience truly enjoyable.

This may be the best food in Alexandria! We went for brunch and had the iron skillet pancake and the fried chicken biscuit. Both were delicious. Add the side of bacon. The monkey bread was delicious, it just needed more of the sauce. Get the fingerling potatoes with a side of ketchup. Bloody mary had the right amount of spice, but needed more tomato base in my opinion. The service is good and the atmosphere is great!

Reservation made by dear friends, who “could not wait to take us there!”. Host: lovely, and walked “with us” to our table, and then talked with us about what and who to expect next. Support staff: top notch. Drinks, food, dessert: absolutely amazing. Manager Diego: a table visit done so, so well. And the best part of the evening? Fernando, our server. Hands down one of the top five service experiences of my going to restaurants life! The timing, the communication, the gentle recommendations, the menu knowledge, and the well-timed check-in’s? It was all simply outstanding! Highly recommend The Majestic, and if you do go, ask for Fernando!!

Service was a little alien, however it was Sunday afternoon and location was super packed, food came out on time and fresh. We did ask for condiments which took a while so we couldn’t comfortably eat food was missing salt. Had some mimosas which also took a while. Despite that everything was perfect. Restrooms had a long line. Beautiful location and area. It’s in the middle of everything so we ended up walking the near by stores.

All around top notch restaurant! Went here for my anniversary and had a wonderful time even though it was raining all night! Drinks were exquisite. Food was served with just the right portions & absolutely delicious! Dessert was an erotic experience to say the least. Service was friendly & knowlegable about menu. Table & booth seating. Place is small so seating is cozy, but only 2 restrooms downstairs.
Would definitely be dining here again.

Best old fashioned (smoked) I’ve ever had. Service was amazing. Very accommodating place. Small and classy, but welcoming! Will definitely go back there again.

What a wonderful establishment in Old downtown Alexandria. The service was attentive and not overbearing. That was my first hanger steak and it was exceptional. Fun part of town and nice classic and intimate interior. Would love to come back again some day!

We came here tonight for my fiancé’s birthday and we had Ellie as our server. She was absolutely amazing. Ellie was personable, friendly and warm, quick to recommend what was good when asked and really funny. The food and drinks were incredible and the atmosphere is excellent, classy but not pretentious. We love this place and will definitely be coming back.

The monkey bread was delicious, it me of donuts and cinnamon rolls. It's great the share and eat with coffee. The coffee tasted like coffee. The steak and eggs were fantastic. The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The potatoes were really yummy and had a good texture.

The restaurant is located in Old Town Alexandria, so you will need to find street parking. The interior is cozy with interesting decor. The staff is friendly. There is a bathroom downstairs by the entrance.

We came in as a large group on short notice. Super accommodating, wonderful atmosphere, Their appetizer bread is great. The most surprising and amazing item was the "warm goat cheese stuffed dates with quinoa crunch, pickled shallots, on a pomegranate syrup". There is not one ingredient in that which i would normally touch. And yet, I absolutely loved the combination. I may have had 4 or 5. Based upon my experience with that one dish, I would gladly try every item on the menu. Lastly, the wait staff were attentive, and a manager checked with us multiple times to make sure everything was perfect. Absolutely recommend everyone visit this restaurant if in the area. Heck, if not in the area just make a trip out of it. Oh, and the dessert, wow...

The atmosphere inside has a Wes Anderson vibe, the food and drinks are fantastic (we had the stuffed dates appetizer, the pimento cheese burger, the hanger steak, and the most incredible drink). Everyone on staff was kind, attentive, and welcoming, particularly Ellie, who we were lucky enough to have as our waitress for the evening! We can't wait to return soon!

The ambiance was a perfect blend of sophistication and warmth, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The attentive staff guided me through the menu with expertise, and my choice of the Hunger Steak Frites was met with enthusiastic approval.
The steak itself was a masterpiece—cooked to perfection, with a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that exceeded all expectations.
I also tried the delicious Majestic Coconut Cake... what a treat.

Went for happy hour. Fun cocktail selection. Sliders were a little dry/well done. Beef short rib fries were delicious. Service was great at the bar. Update: went again, sliders were delicious, moist and juicy.

Great place for a rainy day. We relaxed and not rushed out. Brunch time so ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich, basic eggs and bacon, and brisket omelet. Just the right amount of egg for the omelet. The Strawberriey jam really was perfect with the chicken, just need to add more on the side. Cappuccino not as good as I hoped, and seasonal sangria fell a little flat. But overall a 5!

Our dinner tonight was stellar! Our server Ellie suggested wine and dinner options that were absolutely perfect! She really knows her business. The burger was fantastic and half chicken was plentiful and delicious, and my husband is a foodie beyond belief and he loved the dinner. Ellie’s wine suggestion was on point and her service was beyond compare! Thanks so much for a fabulous dinner, we will be back!

Can not say enough good things about the restaurant, food and service. Each meal was wonderful in a different way... just look at the photos attached and know it tasted just as good as it looked!! The manager Dawan ensured the visit was top notch, stepping my our table to describe details about meal prep and drinks. The atmosphere was relaxing... food serviced timely... we will most definitely return!

Great place. The food was yummy and our waiter was personable and professional. We had a big party and everyone was patient and got our orders perfect. The coconut cake is AMAZING. I will always go back for a piece. I had the Salmon Salad and I was so impressed. Highly recommend and look forward to returning to this lovely restaurant. The decor and atmosphere were a wonderful vibe.

I ordered the octopus for a starter and steak hanger for a main dish. I was not disappointed. Great ambiance and has a nice whiskey selection. The food was excellent. Cheery staff and fancy dining, cant get better.
