James M. Duncan Branch Library

Duncan public library is a welcoming, well run addition to the Delray neighborhood. Staff is extremely helpful & friendly. There is a plethora of vital programs available. Includes a large children's area with a diverse collection and programs.

Small library but with excellent use of space. Clean and well lit. Books galore. Magazines, puzzles, comfortable chairs and tables. A variety of programs for all ages and a great children's section. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Seems to be enough parking on street and small parking lot.

Nice library for families and friends.

So thankful to live so close to a great neighborhood library. The staff really love what they do, and they are happy to help! This library offers after school activities, and there’s always something going on to be a part of. Thank you Duncan Library for all you do!

All of the librarians were super helpful. It's a lovely library I'm excited to become a regular. There's plenty of natural light and some little sitting areas. Signs posted around make it easy to utilize resources like printing.

Truth be told, I have never set foot in this library, but this morning, I saw one of the Alexandria Library staff at a local health clinic with a bag of children's books. She was conversing with two children there and trying to figure out which books they would most enjoy. Whether this is an outreach program or personal initiative, I don't know, but I was impressed. Not only was the 'librarian' sharing her love of books with these children, but she was helping parents in the clinic by occupying the children with civil activity. Thank you Alexandria Library and Ms. Librarian for your sense of community.

Very well run library and a helpful and friendly staff. Not the biggest library I've ever been to, but a very varied book selection for its modest size.

Great library to get your work done

Excellent source for films, books, music cds, books on tape, and magazines. As it has an open policy toward food carry your coffee from the Caboose or St. Elmo to the library and enjoy free wireless. We should make use of this wonderful resource before it's gone.
