I didn't possess the talent to study there, but I visited the campus and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was serene, calm, and clean. I spent a considerable amount of time there, enjoying the surroundings. Observing the students engaged in various activities gave me a different kind of feeling.

What am I expecting in for tourist review? I couldn't believe the most famous Ivy League university has such a less review on Yelp? Maybe because ppl look for restaurant or entertainment only on here instead of search engine. The University gate is open so everyone can go in. All buildings are beautiful. There even have tour to go to the campus and explain what kind of building and space.

Very nice campus. I especially like the tour I had a few years ago. I visited the campus again this week. This time I did a self tour. This gives me the flexibility to spend time on whatever I want. My suggestion is to have the official tour first, then do a self tour to catch up what’s missing on official tour.

I like the vibe of Harvard during my last visit early summer. Beautiful buildings & history. Our group accompanied by a student tour guide that told us about fun facts and history of buildings while we took photos.

The history of Harvard University dates back to year 1636, when it was founded as "Newtowne Colledge" with enrolment of 9 students, to teach Puritan Clegymen. In recognition of Rev. John Harvard's generous donation of Land, Money and Books for the College,it was named as Harvard College in 1638. Had 3- Blocks of Wooden Structure with courtyard at the centre. It was later upgraded to Harvard University and now is the oldest higher educational institution of USA. Its Main Campus is spread over 209- Acres and 6000+ buildings.Massachusetts Hall ( built in 1720) is the only old surviving building while others were destroyed in Great Fire of Harvard College in 1764.Apart from Harvard College (For undergraduate students), the University has 12 Schools and Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Studies. Has full- time Student Strength around 21,500, Teaching Faculty around 2,400 and Alumni 366,000+. Overall Admission Acceptance Rate:4 %. Has very high Cost of Tuition & Residence: Approx .US $ 78,000; however, can come down to as low as $ 14,000 for around 18 % admitted students, thanks to the Govt Financial Grants and the Harvard Endowment Fund ( over US $ 59 Billion). On QS Ranking, 5th Overall World Wide and 1st in Medical- related/ Business disciplines, the name and crimson seal of Harvard University is considered on high ROI Count for studies here. Free Tours for Visitors are lively and well conducted by students; but do not cover whole Campus. Prices of Souveniers at University Gift Shop are high; needs to be substantially subsidised, being free advertising for Harvard University. Must visit Harvard ,while at Cambridge or Boston. You'll enjoy!!

Visiting Harvard University was an awe-inspiring journey through academic excellence and historical significance. Stepping onto its hallowed grounds, I was immediately captivated by the blend of tradition and innovation. The campus exudes an air of intellectual vitality, with students bustling about, passionately engaging in their pursuits.

Exploring the iconic Harvard Yard, I marveled at the centuries-old buildings steeped in history, each brick seemingly holding untold stories. The renowned Widener Library stood tall, a bastion of knowledge housing an unparalleled collection of books and manuscripts.

Attending a lecture at Harvard was a transformative experience. The professors' expertise and dedication to their disciplines were palpable, igniting a profound curiosity within me. Engaging in lively discussions with my peers, I felt a sense of camaraderie and a shared thirst for learning.

Beyond academia, the vibrant campus life offered a myriad of opportunities for personal growth. From cultural clubs to sports teams, there was something for everyone, fostering a diverse and inclusive community.

Leaving Harvard, I carried with me not only cherished memories but also a renewed drive to pursue my dreams. The journey to this prestigious institution reaffirmed that knowledge, passion, and determination are the cornerstones of success, and I am inspired to embrace these values in my own path ahead. Harvard University truly embodies the spirit of higher education, and I am grateful to have been part of this remarkable experience.

Harvard is one of the most prestigious universities in the World and every one wishes to visit it once in a life time. I had this chance to go there and walk around this beautiful institute. The good thing is that it is open for all and everyone could go around and visit. I saw many tourists there enjoying walking and taking photos. The good thing which I liked was that seeing people doing Yoga in the open space and in nature. I liked that and participated with them in yoga. A must visit place if you are in Boston or around.

I went in the University with a tour guide and the university looks beautiful. I did not see anything extra ordinary but all the buildings and interiors seemed really cool. I have been here and I dont think I will go again, just because I've seen it once and there is nothing more to do here. But you should go once

Harvard's campus is far less ostentatious than I expected it to be from its reputation. There is little that is needlessly grandiose here, and there is nothing artificial or false. Even a purist of the John Ruskin type could hardly object to the architecture here. There is a cohesion and harmony to the buildings that's rare even among elite university campuses. The colors of the buildings are soft, solemn, and muted, meant to be appreciated instead of to overwhelm the spectator with flash and glamour.

There's an air of permanence and eternity about this place that the somber winter weather only deepened. The cinnabar hue appears especially striking against streams of March snowfall. Even if I had no previous knowledge of Harvard, I would feel a great weight and gravitas from the architecture of the individual buildings and from the composition of the buildings on Harvard Yard. They convey sincerity, earnestness, and unadorned commitment, not frivolous frills or empty ornament.

Great institution! No matter where you walk to, you’ll see something historic all around campus as it has a good blend between historical and modern structures! I recommend spending a day or half a day just exploring all around campus and Cambridge!

I lived in Boston for a while for work and stopped by Harvard University. It's a bit of a tourist attraction since there are no students there on weekends.
The campus is WiFi free, so you can use the Internet.
I like natural ores and unknown things, so I stopped by the museum where rare stones from all over the world are gathered.
It is very wonderful.

In case you are wondering, this is a photo from a few years ago, but I'll leave it here as a souvenir.

The campus is neat and picturesque and has a welcoming vibe. We were there during the winter break, and while there were visibly no students, there were hundreds of visitors like us, wandering around and taking photos. We stayed for about an hour.

The university is conveniently served by a subway station that connects directly to downtown Boston. Lots of food places nearby if you get hungry.

World class university! If you're fortunate enough to be accepted as a student, take advantage of everything the university has to offer, above and beyond just your own program. If you live nearby or are visiting, check out the phenomenal libraries and museums, or take a tour and learn about the many historic figures who once roamed the Yard. A great place to learn and to visit!
