UNO Trauma I ER Center Canal St New Orleans
I was life flighted to UNO from St Francis Monroe, LA on Thursday Dec 21, 2023.
From the moment I landed my urgent care was awesome. I had severely cut my left hand and severed my ring finger completely. The nurses in the trauma ares were great, I’m sorry I didn’t get many names, my anxiety level was slightly elevated. They took great care of me, monitored my pain level and kept me comfortable, Once I got in the ER my physician was Dr John Nguyen he did a wonderful job accessing my condition and treating me. There was an aid on staff, Sing, sp?, he was awesome. The Plastic Surgeon that sewed me up, 2-1/2 hours did a remarkable job. We were able to leave at 2:30 am Friday morning. If I’m ever in need of level1 trauma treatment in my he future I’m going to request this same team. Job well done folks, I appreciate you. 🚁🚁

This was a nightmare because everyone were students. In a situation where age and wisdom are needed, there were very few encounters of staff that understood compassion. The night crew on the 3rd floor deserves a raise after evaluation. The morning staff have a great system and work as a team. The ICU Bariatric unit staff outside of Caitlin, protocol, tidying procedures, and communication structures need to be evaluated. These people are fighting for their lives, and many were without family due to a lack of resources in their home towns. Lack of compassion and capability to recognize beyond meditation is vital in moments when it could be someone's last note. The dietary team, such pleasant presentation, punctuality, and demeanor. Check-in and security were kind. In all, if your family is here, GO CHECK ON THEM. THESE PEOPLE ARE ONLY HUMAN AND DOING THE JOB APPLIED TO.

I think the hospital is good. Have been there recently while tending to a family member. The facilities are modern as it is the newest full service hospital in the region.

The nurses in the ICU were fantastic! Greta and Janet( I hope that's their names) truly cared and did their best to make sure I was not in pain. Post operation I was in a tremendous amount of pain, once I was under their care I knew I was being treated my caring professionals who took their job very serious. They went above and beyond what would have been considered "adequate care."The ICU nurses who treated me were truly angels. Thanks so much!

10/10 absolutely fantastic service

Had to go to the ER while down here on vacation

I was in a bed in the ER in less than an hour, staff was extremely friendly- candid- and comforting.

I wish I recalled all the staff members’ names that provided services and help; everyone deserves a shoutout.

They fixed my problems in less than 24 hrs with specialists and doctors so I can continue my vacation!

10/10. Great people.

When the staff members learned I was a tourist- multiple staff provided written lists of recommended attractions, restaurants, etc!! Super nice.

Southern hospitality yeehaw

Came in with 5 broken bones including my left leg being a severe compound fracture and had 10 surgeries including a skin graft and they did a great job with what they had to get done. After I got out of the hospital a month later the workman's comp is a different deal on my follow up.

I have always had a good experience with UMC. It is the only hospital I go to if needed. I have always been treated with compassion and care from the doctors. Dr. Efferson in the ER is especially wonderful. I went to Tulane one time only and it was thevery very worst experience ever!!!! I'd suggest UMC to anyone.

I've been all over the U.S. and this by far the best hospital I've ever visited. All the staff I spoke with from the E.R. staff and doctors to the receptionist and even the cafeteria staff, everyone was courteous and professional.

I’ve been here for five days in the Med/surf unit and I give the hospital the highest rating. Everyone taking care of me has been great and that’s really surprised me. The doctors, nurses, techs, social worker, even the people from housekeeping have been great working with me and around me. As I get ready to leave here today, I just wanted to say thank you to all of them for their kindness, and their care!

I hate this hospital I'm entering stage 4 kidney disease & I'm scared to death I'm always alone but when I go to out patient #5 Ms.Erica is an angel she has a way of soothing me she's very polite, very professional but doesn't rush u out. I'm here alot &every time I come across Ms.Erica it's a treat, she's a very special lady I never knew her before university but her precious soul is in my prayers forever. I plan on getting a Lil something for her one day soon, but University should know they have an angel in there mits. Please take care of Ms.Erica I wish I knew her last name but she's #5 when you register for out patient procedure she's a lovely special lady I'm glad to have met & get to run into. Thank, Beth M Suarez

I had a wonderful experience at LCMC today. Upon arrival there was a mixup with my appointment, but Daphne and Brittany at the front desk went out of their way to help get things cleared up. They were awesome! I ended up seeing a resident, Dr. Jahnavi, and she was an absolute light. I felt extremely comfortable and relaxed in her care which isn’t always easy to find. The doctors spent time with me and didn’t make me feel rushed, they were personal and addressed all my concerns and answered my questions. I had blood work done and received my results online within a few hours. From reception, to the nurses, doctors, and lab tech, everyone was super friendly and lovely. Thanks ladies! I’ll be back! :)

I had a very long & complicated total knee replacement surgery on the day everything was being shutdown. My surgeon was worried about me & not only my leg but me as a person. I was informed that I was the last patient able to have what some call elective surgery. This Doctor saved my use of my leg and the nerve that's very hard to save.I am still in therapy because pandemic caused therapy off by 5 weeks. This Doctor was upset because we had to video apps & felt bad.I am going to tell like I told her" Stop feeling bad you saved my leg. I also told her stay safe the World is a better place with her in it. There are compassionate & exceptional doctors you just have to believe. 4-ever grateful to Dr. Cohen-Rosenblum & her team. Very Sincerely Kathleen

I am an RN from another state and have been taking care of my brother for the past nine months. We have had experience with the medical surgical floor, emergency room, surgery and the cancer center. I have been extremely impressed with not only the level of care that he received but with the degree of compassion
afforded by all that we have come into contact with. Thank you LUMC for excellent care and for training your staff to live up to your mission of providing compassionate care.

The staff in the ER last night on 10/19/19 from 11pm till shift, was amazing! Kayla has great bedside manners and was so polite. Kerby that does transportation throughout hospital, like to ultrasound and X-ray, was kind as well. Residents and Dr’s were all greatly appreciated! I want to thank y’all and keep doing what y’all are doing! ☺

My son was visiting New Orleans for a college meeting and fell and hit his head. He was taken to you and admitted. Being 1500 miles from home and alone you took awesome care of him. When I called I got his nurse's number and called her Lace was awesome! She kept us in the loop and even made sure his release was quick so he could catch a plane home. MUCH APPRCAITE the people here.

Thanks you!!
