She has the most advanced dental equipment in the Asheville area. In addition, to an incredibly awesome staff !
I recently had my teeth cleaned with a highly effective, minimally invasive piece of equipment known as Guided Biofilm Therapy (GMT). The process was very fast and gentle and most importantly my teeth felt and looked amazing.

Dr Willoughby is extremely conscientious about her care. I’ve been with her now for over 5 years and my teeth and gums are in excellent condition. She has replaced several crowns for me and has the state of the art equipment to make the crowns on site. Her staff is always friendly and competent. I highly recommend her practice!

By the way, I just read the bad review below mine and I can’t imagine that it could be true! Dr. Willoughby and her staff are as courteous and professional as can be and I have never seen any dissection among them.

Dr Willoughby and her staff have been taking care of my wife and I since we retired here 5 years ago. We feel well taken care of and it such a comfort to have a trusted and gifted caregiver taking care of such an important part of our health.

I have been a patient of Dr. Willoughby for approximately 3 years. Her professionalism and that of her staff are outstanding. I also love that they have state of the art equipment for faster service. Dr. Willoughby and her staff are extremely friendly and very thorough in their work. I personally have found that I get immediate answers to most questions. If her staff clean your teeth or work on another issue in your mouth, Dr. Willoughby will double check their work before you leave, to ensure it was to her satisfaction, and yours. Dr. Willoughby is an extremely caring and gentle dentist. Her and her staff are wonderful. Their first priority is always concern for me and my comfort. I needed significant dental work done and she went over the plan in great detail with me. After years of seeing dentists and having bad teeth due to my health I found them to be quite affordable For the amount of work that needed to be done. They are professional, courteous and efficient Never making me feel like I didn’t take care of my mouth as other dentists have. . They answer their phones or call back in a timely manner, even calling after each visit to make sure I am doing well and comfortable. If I do have a problem they see me as soon as possible. I am so thankful that I was referred to them and I definitely recommend Dr. Willoughby if you’re looking for a new dentist.

Dr. Willoughby has been my dentist for over a decade. My appointments are always prompt and she is really thorough in her exams. She and the staff are so kind, careful, and gentle. They never try to push products, but are happy to answer questions and concerns. I never feel rushed and appreciate the time they put into patient care. I highly recommend Dr. Willoughby and her dental practice. I was especially impressed this visit when my hygienist told me all the things they had changed in the office to be more environmental including giving out bamboo toothbrushes to patients!

I am a new patient of Dr. Willoughby's, and recently visited her office for a cleaning.
Since I had waited 8 years since my teeth had last been cleaned, they were in terrible shape and I was just dreading the whole process.
Brandi, the hygienist who cleaned my teeth had a very soft touch, and explained to me what she was doing while making sure I was comfortable while she was working.
What I thought was going to be an unpleasant experience turned out to be painless process, and my teeth look great!
I would recommend Dr. Willoughby and her staff without reservation.

The office and medical team were very aware of and taking great care with exposure precautions. I felt completely safe. I don’t dread going to the dentist, but I don’t relish it either. The dental hygienist, Kristy, was so gentle and thorough. Dr. Willoughby was also gentle and personable. I highly recommend this group and have already scheduled my next apt!

I am always impressed by the caring attitudes and efficient procedures of Wendy Willoughby's dentistry group. I am in my late '60s. The care that is offered is perfect for me maintaining good dental health for a long time to come. I started care there in mid 2020 when a piece of a tooth cracked off and I hadn't been to a dentist in more than 10 years. My husband was already seeing Dr Willoughby and very impressed with her.In the process of solving my problem, I got back on track. It's amazing how much progress has been made in dentistry from when I was younger. I have only good things to say about the services they offer and would recommend them to anyone wanting to find a good dentist.

Each and every time I visit Dr. Bare, I continue to be amazed by and thankful for the welcome that I receive. I have to admit that I had bad anxiety about going to the dentist. My past experiences weren't good at all. It would get to the point that I thought my heart would beat out of my chest or stop all together.
When I started seeing Dr. Bare, I still had that bad anxiety. A few visits later, that have included having teeth pulled and some filled, I have no anxiety when seeing Dr. Bare. I know that she and her staff will take excellent care of me. This most recent visit, I was so relaxed that I could have taken a nap while she was working on my filling! It is amazing to feel that level of trust with my dentist.
There is no where else I will go for my dental needs. If you are looking for a dentist, I strongly encourage you to make that first visit and see for yourself the amazing people working together as a family to make our lives a just a little better.
They have made mine much better, by treating me with respect and dignity.

Dr. Bare is phenomenal! Professional and courteous always! I have seen her for years and look forward to my cleanings! I know I can count on this office! All the ladies there are wonderful! I saw Dr. Willoughby for an emergency work-in once and she was also excellent and very accommodating to getting me in! I highly recommend this practice!

I've been cared for by Dr. Willoughby and her staff for many years (over 20!) and have to say she's a very special dentist. Her patience, kindness and expertise have been so appreciated through multiple appointments and different procedures. After neglecting my teeth for more years than I care to think of, I went to Dr Willoughby to get an honest opinion about the future of my teeth and gums. She and her team are my miracle workers! I absolutely LOVE this Dental Practice! The staff, Hygienist, up to Dr. Willoughby herself are simply amazing!! Always attentive and caring. I’m one of those dentist office anxiety people LOL! I was made very comfortable during my last visit to have two crowns done during the same visit. I never stressed, never got upset and was never uncomfortable!

As a patient of Chestnut Family Dentistry I am so EXCITED about new technology! Dr. Willoughby completed the NIGHTLASE treatment on me more than a month ago. I am happy to say that I am snoring less and I feel like my breathing is better during the day. I would encourage anyone who has a problem with snoring to consider having the NIGHTLASE procedure done. I only experienced the sensation of a dry, sore throat afterwards!

Early this year, I made the decision to support as many female-owned businesses as possible in all my dealings. First on the list was a new dentist. Based upon earlier reviews, I decided to give Dr Willoughby a try and I still cannot believe how happy I am that I did.
From my first check-up (the most thorough I've ever had in many decades) to the subsequent extensive work I've had done over the past two months, I've been nothing but extremely pleased with both the care and the results.
When is the last time a doctor's practice sent you a personal thank you card individually signed by everyone in the office? Not only is the care of the entire staff warm, personable and extremely competent, this lovely practice offers both state of the art equipment as well as art on the ceilings! From the moment you walk into the art-filled, purple and earth-toned rooms, I think you will agree, this is the least stressful and most competent dental practice in town. Highly recommended.

The entire staff at Chesnut Family Dentistry are great people to work with. Dr. Willoughby has been working with me on a workers comp claim and she has been very thorough in developing a plan to repair my damaged teeth. All the ladies in her office are super nice and extremely competent. Highly recommend.

Dr. Willoughby always seemed distracted when she treated me. Her work is very expensive and mediocre. She put 4 front tooth crowns in my mouth and they popped out one by one within a year! She had trouble placing the crowns right from day 1. I had to go to another dentist who repaired her shoddy work.
