Best gym in Asheville hands down. not only does it have all the equipment/machines you could ever want, it’s also 24/7 and well maintained. the owners are very proactive and making lots of improvements. if you are serious about working out this is the place to go.

We switched to WNC Barbell after going to Gold's for a while. We were specifically looking for a lifting coach for personal training, and were pleased to find several options here, each of whom had a wide breadth of specialized knowledge. It's a smaller space than Gold's, which I actually prefer, there's still plenty of equipment options-- and all the staff I've interacted with have been very friendly and helpful, including the massage therapists whose offices are on site. We really appreciate having a gym that's focused on weight lifting (and not just cross fit) that feels low-key and local.

This place is perfect. 24/7 access with your own key FOB, dry sauna, showers, lockers, and all the equipment your heart desires. Cheaper than you would think to join and never regretted a moment of being there. I never got a training session from Mike, but seen him working with a ton of happy clientele over the past few weeks. If you’re looking for a great gym, would 100% recommend checking this place out 🤙🤘

The best gym in town. You walk in the place and get at least 3% stronger. Fantastic ownership and employees, we highly recommend WNC Barbell if you are looking for a gym !

It's a well equipped gym. Bar bells, workout machines treadmills, etc. Everything is clean and well maintained. Staff is very helpful. There are classes and shower facilities. A little tricky to get into and hard to make a left upon leaving.

My husband and I recently moved to Asheville and we are thrilled that we found this incredible gym. It’s so spacious, has plenty of quality equipment, and everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. This is a legit gym for people who want to put in serious work. Great atmosphere all around.

For me this gym works perfectly. It's low-key and not flashy like some of the other gyms but that's perfect! I like the fact that it's locally-owned by a small business owner and not some corporate behemoth. The gym has plenty of weights and plenty of machines and areas to do stretches and cardio and such. The staff and patrons are friendly. The 24/7 option is great so you can come anytime. I definitely recommend this gym!

We go to the gym 4-5 times a week. We’ve been members for many years. The environment is extremely comfortable and professional. Great staff. Clean environment. Exercise equipment is updated and fits all of our needs.

Going here has helped me so much. I have never felt that comfortable in a gym before but I do here - WNC Barbell is probably the only place I feel is what a gym should be like. Just found this place and got a day pass. Really friendly people running the gym and the folks I met there were great as well. The equipment is first-rate and there are plenty of stations -lots of good stuff.
The place is clean and I really enjoyed my time there. When I visit Asheville , this will be my gym.

Greg and the staff are very helpful with the proper use of the equipment and any questions you may have regarding nutrition. The facility and equipment is extremely clean. There is always chemicals and towels for patronts to use, and available. The atmosphere is always extremely friendly. I would recommend wnc barbell to anyone looking for a gym facility, or wanting a change. This is also a 24/7 facility, which I love.

Absolutely love this gym! Its a gym to train hard, no bells and whistles but all the equipment you could ever ask for and its in good working order. Love its age, reminds me of an old bodybuilding and powerlifting oriented gym. They have very reasonable prices and no bureaucracy. You guys rock!

WNC Barbell is a great gym! Very simplistic - but has all the things you need to get a good work out in. You can access the gym 24/7 which was really nice. The staff are super nice and easy going too.

I love this place. They have everything you need and the best part is that they are open 24hr. Workers there are very polite and just chill! I love the rugged look of it all. Makes you feel like you’re in one of those body builder gyms 👏🏼👏🏼 I’m definitely recommending this place to everyone!!

AWESOME GYM , I have been going to barbell for about a year now and love that is a smaller gym I am able to get in and out. I love how well they have adjusted to covid and how everybody respects the rules put in place to keep everybody safe. GREAT GYM!!!!!

WNC Barbell is a great facility for those who are looking to really concentrate and focus on their lifts without distraction. This is what you'd call an old school facility with no with frills and advertising.

The gym consists of a large number of weighted cable machines and a large number of free weights. All of which, are well maintained. Surprising to see, especially with a cable row machine that sits on the floor. You feel like you stepped back in time. There are a good handful of treadmills, bike machines and ellipticals.

I know the facility offers taekwondo and a silver sneakers program, as well as massage therapy (recommended).

I chose this facility because it is not a flashy franchise with all the added extras you don't need in a membership. It has all I need and it is also open 24 hours. Weights and cardio.

Great Place to workout even for a Beginner everybody is Respectful and nobody stares at you working out like they do at some other Gyms. Very Clean and Excellent Equipment, Love working out here.

Perfect place to workout when you want with what you want. A good gym isn't brand new and fresh smelling, it's not a country club and this gym isn't rundown, top of line service and equipment.
