My friend, son and I took a trip over the weekend to this campground for the first time. We had a great time the first night, its a small quiet campground. The second night a fellow camper that took things too far with us and was making us feel very unsafe. The moment that I told the owners what was going on they handled it and went above and beyond to make us feel safe and make sure that he was gone. I am so thankful for the care and diligence that was shown by them, and would certainly go back. Crime has no zip code, so always be aware of your surroundings.

Just got home and unpacked from a GREAT weekend here! From the moment we got there you can tell it's family friendly! Grayson was a great helper! Hope his dad threw him a few bucks! Didn't bring any cash with me, my only regret. We will be back guys! Thanks for accommodating us.

LOVE this campground! Owners are amazing. We had an issue w/ our RV and they us helped fix it! Kim was incredibly generous with her time and always a smile on her face. They take pride in their business and truly want happy campers. We enjoyed the amenities and its conveniently located to many attractions. We had our electric bikes and drove everywhere - including to Black Mountain. All the campers staying there were so friendly and we WILL be back again. Thanks Kim

Perfect family campground for weekenders and full timers alike. The stream is peaceful and the playground is nice. We like that it's centrally located. Close to Old Fort and the freeway.

Great little campground situated right on the water. The staff was great and the grounds were very well kept. We were tent camping and were very satisfied. the primitive (walk in) looked awesome and we may try those next time. We will come back to this campground.

This is a great campground. It is in a great location, wonderful friendly atmosphere from the owners and other campers and the bathhouse is amazing with a hot shower and lots of space! We’ve stayed at a lot pricier places with a lot less to offer. We will be back as often as we can!

Been 13 years or so since we last visited, but just as good if not better than then! Had a wonderful, quiet and peaceful experience! Owners were nice and hospitality was great! Will definitely return in the future. Highly recommend. Thanks for a great week!

I am forever grateful for this place!!! I had to evacuate Florida due to Hurricane Ian. I was not planning on traveling with my two large dogs and my foster dog, but I wasn’t going to leave anyone behind! I was exhausted after driving for several hours through the night and being denied due to my pets all day the next day. I literally broke down in tears when I found out they would take me and my pets! It was so peaceful! The sound of the water instantly helped to calm me. The bath house was very clean and very comfortable! The owner was super sweet and made sure I had everything I needed. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I really enjoyed our stay here! The campground was in good condition, we happened to be right next to a full-timer and on the other side was another couple that was staying a few days like us.

We got there on a Sunday, when they were closed, and did not really know what to do. Luckily, a gentleman came out of his camper to help me. I unfortunately do not remember his name but he was kind and helped me back in to the site. It was only my 2nd time and I was more nervous because the camper next to me was so nice and had a structure built around it to keep it out of the weather.

I checked us in the next day and met the staff member at the desk. She gave me a hang tag for parking, I was in spot F3. The spot backed up to a beautiful river that was rushing with water the entire 3-day stay. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful stay!

Some of the reviews I read complained about the price but I felt like the view and location were well worth it. I think it’s all in perspective, so if you are seasoned or seen this before, maybe I could see that but for me it was perfection.

The catawba falls trail is closed until October 2024, so note this before you go. We were bummed but there is definitely plenty more to do in the area as well as Black Mountain and Asheville!

Fantastic experience. Very clean campground, nice bathrooms, including shower. There are very pretty sites along the River bank. We arrived late and had no problems pulling right in. There was a large dog that came up to our camp on second night ( Great Dane mix possibly?) but he seemed friendly and probably just sniffing us out.

We will be back !

This campground has it all, clean grounds, clean bathhouse, laundry room, general store and a huge playground. Not to mention the beautiful stream running through it. The waterfall was closed and will be until spring of 2024, but honestly I wasn't mad about it. There's so much to do nearby, 15 minutes to Walmart, less than 5 minutes to Dollar general, gas station and a McDonald's with wifi for those that don't have service. 30 minutes to Asheville, 45 to Linville caverns. It's in a great central location for a lot of different hikes and a lot of places to explore. A mile or less down the road there's a big baseball field with playground and a trail back to the water. The owners are amazing, And you can tell they take pride in what they do. They treat you like family. It's an awesome place to bring your family to have fun and not worry about the stresses of the world. Definitely will be back. 10/10 recommend.

We had a great week here. It’s hard to find an RV spot with electric and water that still has tent site wooded camping vibes. This place was perfect.

The campground is owned and managed by generations of one family, who make guests feel welcome, are accommodating and also are laid back.

We would definitely return if we are on the area again. thank you, Kim, Parks and family!

Beautiful campground owned by the sweetest family. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. My boyfriend and I came here to tent camp for one night and ended up staying an extra two nights because we loved it so much. The bathhouse is extremely clean, there’s laundry on site, firewood/ice, a cute little shop, and they have tiny cabins for rent as well. I’m so happy we stumbled upon this gem!

A hidden gem, just outside Old Fort, NC. It's a great small campground on the Catawba River. Clean, well maintained, easily accessible, with friendly, welcoming hosts. I will be back!

Talk about hospitality and a beautiful piece of land!
I was headed home to north GA after visiting Pittsburgh. The day I took off for home I decided to try and camp somewhere near Asheville to break up the trip. Called a few sites and Kim was the only one to call me back. I was late arriving but they made me feel welcome and got me to my site in no time. It's a family owned and operated campsite and you can just tell they are good people. Wish I was staying for more than a night.
Can't recommend this place enough!

P.S. There's a sick MT Bike trail, Kitsuma, close by as well as some spots to eat right down the road.

Thanks again for everything.

I don't know where to start. First called for a sight the owner was very sweet and friendly. Gave us a tent sight close to the bathroom. Campground was so nice, clean, lots to do. But most of all beautiful!!! Such a beautiful place to get lost in your thoughts and be stress free!! We got to meet the family that owes it. So sweet. Fire wood was only 5.00 and the bathhouse is so very clean!!! Checking my schedule when we can go back. It is just beautiful. Don't forget to go to the coffee shop inside the gift shop so very yummy to start the day!!! Highly recommend!!

Absolutely beautiful setting for camping.
Great tent sites along the creek with trees to hammock in. They have clean bathrooms with showers and a laundry room. Super friendly owners. I highly recommend!

Friendly, helpful, personable camp host. Clean bath house and convenient porta potty by tent sites. This beautiful creekside location is just a short distance from Catawba Falls and many other beautiful hikes (pictured is Roaring Fork Creek Falls). Can’t wait to come back when it’s warm and relax in creek. The camp store is well stocked and has firewood available for purchase. There’s laundry facilities and even a friendly cat that runs around the place. This spot was everything we needed and more. However, it’s probably not for everyone. Campsites are close together and there isn’t much coverage/ privacy. Wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking to be secluded.

One of my favorite campgrounds I've ever stayed at! Great friendly folks running it, very helpful. Creek side sites, beautiful, and very reasonable rates. It's a small place, mostly full of full timers, or seasonals, very quiet. Catawba Falls is right up the road, very easy hike to beautiful waterfalls, and Old Fort has some cool history and sights, though I didn't get to explore it all. I definitely recommend, and hope to stay here again sometime!
