I came in for a MAJOR haircut. Amber did an amazing job, and was super clear about communication of how the outcome will be. I went from having about 2+ feet of long hair, to a wolfcut shag just above my shoulders. She did an excellent job removing my damaged long hair leaving only my natural. Would recommend.

I am new to the area, and Casey was kind enough to squeeze me in, right before Christmas. I desperately needed my roots covered (approx. 3 inches) and a cut. She did a great job!! She was polite, yet easy to talk to, and very professional. I highly recommend her services as I will be scheduling future appointments.

Both Stylists I've seen here are fabulous. When Stephanie moved away temporarily, I started seeing Casey, the Owner. Shortly after we began discussing my art and jewelry creations, She enthusiastically said, "Display them here"! I was so grateful and left Westside Shears feeling so inspired about making and showing my art, as well as excited about leaving with my new haircut!

Now my art has a home and I get to experience the fabulous vibe of the Salon, the wonderful way the Stylists interact with each other and witness how well they treat their clients, many of whom, have been coming to see them for years. Now I have more than 1 great reason to stop in more often than I did for just trims and touch-ups.

Westside Shears has very talented and friendly Stylists. Since moving to Asheville a few years ago, I've been wandering the path fairly alone. Now, thanks to Casey and the crew at Westside Shears, my art and I finally found a place to call home, where I'm graciously welcomed and feel like I belong....

Casey is very patient with my 4 year old who is on the autism spectrum! She knows how to talk to kids and keep them calm. His hair looks great too!

Casey is awesome! Welcoming, attentive, and kind. Didn't balk at my not getting very regular haircuts and gave me exactly the low-maintenance cut I asked for.

I have been here twice now with two different stylists and both times they have done an exemplary job on my hair. I have a beard and medium length hair. The most recent trip in particular the lady did an excellent job blending the hair to fit with my beard and style I wear my hair. I can't remember her name but she has several tattoos and green hair. Casey is the best. Everyone in there is super fun and friendly. I hadn't gotten a hair cut in 5 years! She was super helpful, listened intently and made suggestions that fit my needs. I walked out of there with the exact hair style I wanted and will go back every single time.

I've been going to Casey for several years on a regular basis for a hair cut, and I've come to know and appreciate her enormously. First, and most important, she gives a nice cut at a very reasonable price. Second, she's an extremely cool person (this very intelligent woman was once a professional softball player!) and fun to chat with. I give Casey two thumbs up!

I dropped into this salon this morning hoping for a hair cut. I’m visiting from the UK and my cousins highly recommended it… yay often hard for places to impress when customers have such high expectations but I was delighted to say I was able to get a cut, done exactly to my liking, and have the pleasure of meeting such a lovely person in the meantime. I haven’t been to a Salon in a long time because I usually have a bad experience but Casey did a fantastic job. She read me well and made suggestions without being pushy. I left feeling beautiful and got compliments on my hair! If you’re looking for a chill salon without all the high maintenance bells and whistles, this place is for you.

Casey is the best ever. She is quality, style and efficent. You can't find a quality haircut for a better price. She has a great personality and I love our conversations! She has an open mind and the willingness to try new things. She can be adventurous if you allow her but she will do exactly what you tell her to do! I have been looking for a person like her foreva and finally found the perfect stylist! Yay!

Casey has been cutting my hair since I moved to WAVL 8 or 9 years ago. I would never consider going anywhere else. She is the best damn barber in this town. Anyone who says otherwise is an asshat.

Stacy Fiano is a great addition to Westside Shears. She gave me a super cute pixie haircut and color. It is so easy to care for. She also tinted and arched my eyebrows. I feel 10 years younger. My husband also got his haircut by Stacy and he looks so handsome!! She is sweet and fun to talk to. Go and see her!!

Charla did a great job with my haircut considering it was the first time she had met me. Very nice and easy to talk with and she cut my hair the way I wanted it.

1 of maybe 2 places ive gone in my life where I have gone in with an idea for my hair being cut and actually left with EXACTLY what i asked for! Really cool folks all around! Loved the experience and felt really good leaving!
