3/5/23 Place was busy today. Background music was perfect for this boomer! Staff was as friendly as ever. Nice clean accessible bathroom in the main floor.

The staff was so kind—they answered all my questions and prepared the delicious food quickly. There is also local art for sale, which added to the cool ambiance. It’s a great place to get some work done during the day.

We came to a friend’s concert and it was amazing! The atmosphere for live music is great - there is a performance space with some lights. The sound is also pretty good. The food and drinks were solid and the staff is easy going and willing to help.

One of the cutest coffee shops in Roslindale square. Friendly staff and cute atmosphere. They also have open mic, stand up comedy, and concerts regularly. It's a friendly neighborhood coffee shop.

Great little gem in the heart of Roslindale. Tasty coffee/espresso and they have a great beer and wine menu! They have several breakfast, lunch and dinner options, but I have yet to try the food. I do hear it’s good though! There’s plenty of seating and a nice neighborhood ambience. They have a big TV for when there’s important games etc. being played and free wifi. It’s the perfect place to come work and enjoy a latte or relax with a beer.

As I walk into this top knotch shop, my snout is greeted by the scent of fresh boutique coffee's and my ears are met by hip music streaming out of a high-end sound system.. The Square Root in Roslindale Sq, MA is byyyyy far a 5 star cafe.. -Not to mention the best chix salad sandwich in the city.. The Square Root.. -Great food, great coffee, good music and good cheer abound.. They also feature weekly live headliners...

Haven’t found all that many coffee shop/bar combos in Boston (there are tons in other cities I have visited) but I was so glad to stumble across square root. I didn’t get any food and didn’t stay for drinks after the coffee rush, but will have to make a return visit

Anthony and Sandra have hosted our parent soccer school group on three separate occasions, the most recent last Friday (October 21). They and their team are absolutely the best to work with, they handle all the details so we just have to show up and have fun.

They go the extra mile with little details like having our school colors for plates, napkins and plastic wear as well as getting our logo and putting it up on the board with our drink menu. All this without us even asking - love the attention to details they provide!

The food is delicious and cooked to order so food never arrives cold and there is always a fight to who can take the left overs home - if there are ever any. Do yourself a favor and get the pretzels and pizza - as well as the tater tots - you won’t disappointed.

Their staff is absolutely amazing and friendly. Every time we go, I feel like we are arriving at my family’s house. They remember so much about us after just two previous visits. I enjoy catching up with them just as much as I do with the fellow parents. I can’t say enough about how quick and professional they all are. Their atmosphere is so warm and friendly, just like them and their team. We are already planning our next event at their place for June!

Thanks again for everything you have done for our school and parent fundraiser, Anthony, Sandra and team! We will see you again in June.

Great cafe. One of the rare places that sort of does it all.
Good coffee and espresso drinks, solid food, terrific beer selection (on tap).
Also plenty of space and good wifi.

I haven’t gone during live music so I can’t speak to that but love this place.

A great neighborhood Cafe. Coffee, sandwiches and pastries during the day, pizza, tots, beer and wine in the evening (not open every, evening - schedule changes frequently). They offer live music, comedy, or a pub quiz several nights a week. A favorite local gathering place where you can get to know the owner and bar tenders/baristas by name.

My band played here and had a great experience. The staff were all super nice and really went out of their way to make sure we had a well run show. Great drink selection too. Would recommend checking out the concerts here.

Great place to enjoy local musicians, and great personal pizzas

This is my go-to stop for coffee on dog walks! I hook the dogs outside, get my coffee, and walk to the arboretum.
Music is a bit too loud for my preference to sit and do work at the coffee shop.

did not eat saw some cool bands had some tasty beers.

The breakfast sandwiches are amazing. We get them every Friday morning to celebrate the end of the work week. High end ingredients make them worth the cost. You will not be disappointed.

Nicole, Rae, and Dominic have been providing the best espresso drinks made with care in Roslindale Village. All the crew provide great service while managing the demands of a busy cafe with grace. Great sandwiches and food too!
