I have been a patient at Bandera Family Practice for over 8 years, and upon my return to San Antonio after a six-year absence, I was surprised to encounter negative reviews about this esteemed medical practice. Delving deeper into the issue, I discovered that the primary founder no longer owns the practice, but the legacy and quality of care are being continued under the stewardship of the new provider, Ronald Garcia.

It is unfortunate that some individuals feel entitled to a certain level of treatment and have expressed dissatisfaction in their reviews. I empathize with the desire for respectful and compassionate care, which should be a standard expectation in any medical setting. Personally, I have consistently received excellent care from Physician Assistant Dr. Brian Poliquin. He exemplifies respect, intelligence, and empathy towards his patients.

Despite now residing 15 miles away from the office, I continue to choose Bandera Family Practice now rename with new ownership Village Medical for my healthcare needs. I appreciate the efficiency and professionalism of the staff, including the nurses who diligently attend to each patient's needs. Understanding the complexities of medical practice, I am willing to wait my turn, recognizing the amount of paperwork and compliance requirements that these professionals manage.

It's important to consider the challenges faced by general practitioners who strive to maintain high standards amidst the pressures of administrative duties and patient demands. In my experience, the negative reviews do not reflect the exceptional care and positive outcomes I have witnessed at this practice. I confidently recommend Bandera Family Practice Village Medical to anyone seeking attentive and dedicated healthcare in San Antonio.

I have been using this clinic for at least 25 years and I have to compliment Dr.Beck for his knowledge and care. I’d also like to thank the lady that took my blood, Ashley for doing such a great job on a hard stick like! And I like to thank Dr. Garcia for being a really talented Dr. as well! Also last but not least James and Christian for taking my calls and assisting me on all my questions and appointments!

We have always been very pleased with the medical treatment we receive at this clinic. Both my mother and I see Dr. Beck as our PCP, and he is the best! He is an excellent doctor, very thorough in his examinations and extremely knowledgeable! He answers all of our questions completely. Imelda, a manager on staff, is extremely courteous and professional. She is very helpful! The rest of the staff have always been very friendly and eager to assist. We have no complaints about this clinic!

I went yesterday for blood work, I was taken in within 5 minutes, Anabel the technician was so professional, friendly and caring. I thanked her for her fast service and she kindly replied that if she was the patient, she would want to get in and out of there quickly. And my arm isn't bruised or doesn't even look like I had bloodwork. Would also like to mention that Dr. Beck always goes out of his way to make sure he takes care of his patients, he starts out by shaking your hand and saying, "What can I do for you today"? He listens to you with a caring demeanor, gets to the root of the problem and takes care of it. I take my 89 year old mom and also my husband, that's how good he is, I trust him with our lives. Thanks Dr. Beck and Anabel for your great service to Bandera Family!

Thank you Bandera Family Health for getting me in for a same day appointment. I had Covid, and they got me in quickly, did a chest X-ray, an infusion, and prescribed some meds to help me get better! Everyone who helped me was very friendly, and I am so thankful that they took such great care of me. Thank you to Matthew who did an awesome job with someone who is scared of needles! I highly recommend this office that truly puts patients first!

I go to the Helotes office. Have been for over 6 years now. I rarely have to wait long and the office staff is very nice. My only complaint is that they need more MD's there. Especially female MD's. The Nurse practitioners are very nice and take their time with you which I appreciate. Nurse Spencer is especially kind and a good listener! Sometimes though I really feel I should be seen by a doctor. Dr. Reyes is always booked for months in advance, and I would prefer a female Dr. The 1604 location is too far for me. I LOVED Dr. Machinana and Dr. Rodriguez, but both are gone now. All and all, they have treated me very well though. When I had a CT scan done and kidney stones were discovered, they called me at work that very same day. They had already booked me an appt. with a urologist in my network and told me to go immediately. They took charge and didn't ignore the situation for a minute. I was very impressed. So thank you!

All Staff is very friendly and service was incredibly quick. I was ill and needed to be seen as a first time patient walk in and i was in and out of the clinic before i could finish the new patient sign in process on their tablets. Definitely recommend this doctor office!!! Will be returning myself next time

They usually take forever but I did a walk in this morning and got seen right away which was awesome but what was the best part is they had this behavior therapist guy named Jeff who talked to me and actually listened to me and came to terms that I could have been diagnosed incorrectly. He made me feel like a person and not some mental disease. I really wish he was a therapist because talking to him made me feel a lot better and it was so easy to talk to him. If you or know anyone who may think they are depressed or bipolar or anything along those lines please ask to speak to him. Trust me you will leave feeling truly informed and more sure about yourself.

I love working at Bandera Family! There is such a wonderful atmosphere there. It's great to be at work and see people hugging and interacting like family. Many of the patients have been with the practice for over twenty years (and many are medical professionals themselves). They provide services that everyone can use. The mammogram bus comes regularly. I had my mammogram last month!

I have to give a big shout out to Pablo In the call center for all his work in getting me an immediate appointment for a life threatening event and following up several times with me ASAP to make everything go smoothly. He is a most valuable employee and a dedicated to the health of your patients. Shout out to this wonderful young man for caring so much! Thank you Pablo.

Excellent practice! They're staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like you are part of their family. Dr. Reyes, Dr. Zayas and their team are making the difference in many lives. I wouldn't trust anybody else with my loved ones health. Thank you for your great service!

I had a wonderful experience at the Bandera Family Medical Group! The young ladies in radiology were so friendly, efficient, professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this facility to all my friends and family.

I had a great experience. Dr. Keith Beck was awesome, kind, and efficient. Also, I'd forgotten a mask and they were kind enough to give me one.

Bandera Family Health is a wonderful clinic. Any of the Dr..s staff would make a good primary care physician. Dr. Reyes and Dr. Beck are wonderful.

Love this clinic! Truely a family practice. Patients and staff are treated as family. It is not uncommon to see three generations of families coming to the clinic - wouldnt think about sending their family anyware else.

Been coming here for several years now due primarily to one PA but the entire staff is well tuned to my needs and the needs of all patients. Not convenient for me to come here as I live over an hour away but wouldn't care to go anywhere else.

Super nice people, very clean and organized. They are very considerate and accommodating. Easy to make appts with. Very quickly in and out and getting what’s necessary completed.
