If you need to register your car or handle anything tax or county related youre covered here. All the departments are at your disposal. But be aware this building services a large part of North Dallas. People from the surrounding areas of homes as well as a vast amount of apartments are near. With all of theses departments come LINES. LINES that strech out tje door lines to get in LINE. PREPARE for a wait.

Amazing customer service and efficiency at this office. Today my daughter gifted her car to her mother. We thought the process would be complicated and would take a long time. We reached at 8:20 AM on a Tuesday and our number was called almost immediately. The friendly lady who did the job actually took only about 15 minutes for the whole process. She was very polite and courteous and super efficient. I had to get new number plates for my car because I had lost one of the plates.The lady who served me took maybe two minutes to complete the work and I was given new number plates and a registration sticker. They have a well-oiled system in there and very customer friendly and efficient employees. God bless you all.

Truancy
A lot nicer than I remember after the last storm hit an damage the building. Not a hard location to find yes not fun been here but staff is friendly an helpful Wich make this unwanted visits ok. The location is clean , quite . Judge Larry Ray Ford was very fair .. thank u so much judge.. I appreciate you.

Fast service! I walked in and was handed a clip board to get myself started and within 5 minutes my number was called up. They have plenty people working and in all start to finish was 35 minutes! Friendly staff at the door and booth. There’s plenty of parking outside or you can drive into the garage. I registered my car and received my plates at this office for a little over $200.

Despite some reviews claiming otherwise this experience was fast and professional. I renewed my expired registration, I had the inspection paper, gave it to the clerk paid the fee and left, task complete.

The line is long. I got there at 7:40 am and there was a line of 16 people already. I waited about 30 mins to be called.
If you get there later in the day make sure your phone is charged and bring a book and just pay attention to the number when they are called, there is also a big display with the current one up, they also send you a text message.

Was in and out in 5 minutes… kinda mind blown. Needed to get proof of a registration block being lifted, everyone was pleasant, and the longest thing I waited for was the piece of paper to print… left my car to walk in at 4:35… I’m writing this review back in my car and done with exactly what I needed at 4:39.

Super quick. I came at 1:30 on a Friday and left by 2!

Registration renewal was a breeze and of course got my new sticker same day.

Talking about a speedy process this office is amazing I was help by Steven Hurdle and he is super pleasant and not to mention helpful. In and out in no time. Ps I was on on my lunch break..

I recently moved to Texas, went to Dallas County Tax office at 4:05 pm , just 20 minutes before closing time. Had 23 people ahead of me. The service time was so quick that, i got a call in 25 minutes, and the staff was so nice that she helped with all the questions and made the registration process so easy for me. Thanks a ton for the excellent service.

6/27/23 car registration

I got my ticket at 9:50am and was out of the parking lot before 10:40am.

Everything was so smooth and straightforward. The waiting room felt clean as well as the facilities.

I thought it would be a two hour process because the room was so packed but it was no issue at all.

Mary helped me and she was incredibly kind and professional. Our interaction had to of been under 5 minutes.

I did not need to visit the office in person, thankfully, because I was able to get my question answered quickly and courteously (about the TXDMV online system, where the only contact info given was for my local tax office) on the phone (and also a very thorough email response that I did not see until afterwards) after only a short hold!

In and out in less than 30 minutes to get my registration renewed. Awesome place, awesome staff, awesome parking, just awesome all around.

My family and I had an amazing experience at the North Dallas passport office. Fernando and Chris were able to accommodate us despite not having reservations. They understood our urgency and we’re able to find time to get us seen quickly. They were kind and extremely helpful. We definitely weren’t expecting this especially from a government office. Keep up the amazing job.

Well oiled machine, I was initially worried about the long lines, I arrived at around 9:10am, line was close to the entry doors, 10 min later, I got my queue ticket, and waited in a packed waiting room thinking this was going to take all day. Surprisingly the queue moved at incredible pace, I was able to register my new vehicle in about 1 hr all said and done. Very efficient.

Excellent customer service, the staff who work there are very friendly and efficient to do their job, highly recommended!
The staff is working and monitoring the health measures established to stop the spread of the Covid19 virus, if you go to request service you must wear your facemask.

Pretty quick, easy check in, make sure you have all your documents ready. Was in and out in less than 30 min

Very fast, informative, efficient service here. I got my vehicle registration done within 30 minutes. Don't let the long line discouraged you because people come here for several services from passports, courts, taxes... They handout ticket and also notify you on your phone when it's your turn.

I never had such pleasant experience in a gov office:
1. Plenty of available parking
2. Get a ticket right at the door
3. Wait 12 minutes, get called to a window
4. Get your issue resolved in 8 minutes by a super nice clerk.
