Unpopular opinion but every time I have called over the years everyone has managed to answer the questions I have. Yeah being on hold takes a while sometimes but for the most part people have been helpful.

GREAT RESPONSE! A special thanks to the San Marcos Water utilities for the quick response. I experienced an issue after hours and they arrived on the scene within minutes and had services restored that same night.

I just have to give a shout out (and FIVE stars!) to Audrey in customer service. I called today and she was very polite and professional and helped me with my problem. Unfortunately, it took WEEKS to get my services connected before today and I'm not sure that part is all set, but I know that if I have a problem Audrey is the one to call!!

I would not move to San Marcos. This Utility Co has a monopoly on services. You have to go thru them, no one else to go thru.. They disconnect your lights, get this, 8 days after due date. Without notice. Absolutely nuts. 8 days, in Texas Summer Heat. Crazy

Oh this has been a consistent struggle since I've moved to San Marcos. They have the monopoly over the city so we have no choice but to use this company and they know it. I won't waste my time on too much negativity because I know there are few within this company that care. I will say that they love to pass off the responsibility from department to department. So you're basically stuck in this one sided relationship where they have all the cards and you have nothing but the money they want. This review stands for all San Marcos government offices. I won't waste my time, just as they wouldn't, to write separate reviews for each department.

Won’t let me disconnect service. Soon paying for future tenants bill. Won’t let me login. Won’t disconnect over phone. Won’t let me create new account. Customer service can’t help or delete old account or even reset password. Bureaucracy at its finest. I’m so frustrated after wasting hours of my life trying to simply end service. If this were a private business they would go bankrupt so fast, but it’s government. Sooooooooooooo poor quality that nothing works. I’m going to grow old waiting for their help. If they bill me I’ll take them to small claims.

Customer service was incredibly rude and absolutely no help. “That’s not my problem, I have no idea, you’ll have to figure that out yourself” was literally what the lady said. Unbelievably disappointed in this “service” and staff

My card expired and they cannot update it on their system.
They have a monopoly with no other choice.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The lady I communicated with was EXTREMELY rude, very unprofessional, and down right nasty. I have never in my life experience such terrible customer service. They scam people, leaving you $340 less then when you started cause we had to pay the electric bill TWICE for start up. They lost our money and instead of trying to help figure out the situation she threatened to turn of my electric if it wasn't paid a second time.
