Basil’s resteraunt has consistently good food. There is a varied choice of menu items, and I usually get their fish which is presented well and taste delicious. It also has vegetarian pasta dishes and also gluten free choices as well. It’s nice for a special occasion. I always am too full to order dessert and am able to bring leftovers home! Best to make reservations as it does get busy.

We had dinner here last night and it was absolutely outstanding!!! We both had the special. Homemade Spinach Raviolis stuffed with caramelized onion, bacon and goat cheese with a tomato cream sauce! It was utterly delicious!!!!! As good as any meals I have at premier NYC restaurants! We will now be regulars🎉🎉

Always love coming here! We got sat right away and had some super yummy bread brought out to us. Service was great as always and so friendly! We both started with a ceasar salad and the chicken was cooked perfectly. For dinner I had I think one of the best Alfredo dishes I’ve ever had. The whole meal was fairly priced. Great spot for date night or celebration. Will be back in very near future!!

This place was amazing!! This is a hidden gem! The escargot was delicious. We ordered 4 apps each one was delicious! And we ordered dinner. We had leftovers for sure! The server Kellie was so pleasant and friendly! I can’t wait to come back. Oh the best dark espresso martini.

One of my favorite restaurants to go to. I’ve been coming here since I was little with family and now I enjoy sharing it with friends from afar, too. The food is always phenomenal, the atmosphere is classy and hip, the service is always beyond perfect and I always have a great time here.

The quality of food is excellent. A very popular restaurant and you may have to wait a little bit but it's worth it. Definitely should make a reservation ahead of time. It can be a little bit on the noisy side at times.

We celebrated my birthday here with a crisp Chardonnay (butter) and a rich Super Tuscan. They complimented a perfectly done piece of Nut Crusted Salmon (large portion size) and Fra Diabolo seafood dish (not too spicy). The waitress in the bar area was so kind in seating us even though our reservation on Open Table did not show up on her reservations. We will be back!

Had my parent’s 40th wedding anniversary here. The food is nothing short of amazing! Service was perfect! Would definatly recommend this place to anyone look for a place for a small party! In the future this is my first pick!

Some of the best Italian around! I usually go for take out and they do a fantastic job. You call them when you get there and they will bring the food curbside to your card. The food is always fresh and delicious!

Ceasar Salad, Steak tips with rice pilaf light entree. Decided on takeout but they are open for dining. Need a reservation. Food was excellent as always. Hopefully the bar area opens again sometime as they have nice high top tables and booths. Highly recommended!

The food and service were the best. The atmosphere is a bit dated but quaint.

I love Basil. I come here all the time. The food is consistently delicious. In my opinion Basil is the best restaurant in the area. Great staff and a friendly crowd too. And there's the beautiful fish tank.

Had not been here in years and was pleasantly surprised what a great restaurant it is.I had Duckling,2 others had the haddock and 1 had Chicken Parm.All meals were large and very tasty.
We were seated right away. All the staff were pleasant and helpful.Parking is in big lot across the street.
Only drawback,it was very noisy.Resonable pricing.

Went to Basil for my birthday and had a great time. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The atmosphere was really nice and the style of the dining area was very nice. The food was very good, had a big selection to choose from and a very good drink menu.

A little gem in the wall, food is outstanding and the service was just as great. The older woman working the desk was very rude and a little hostile, not someone you want as your establishment’s first impression. Aside from that the experience was flawless. Highly recommend.

I had the chicken walnut ravioli. This is half of it. The raviolis are huge and I actually had to bring the last one home. Excellent food and atmosphere.

Excellent food and friendly, attentive staff make for a terrific evening.

The ravioli sampler and calamari were outstanding to start and the chicken parmesan was just about perfect, generously portioned with a nice crisp exterior and tender meat. The ricotta gnocchi with chicken and sausage was a special and it definitely was special...just the right amount of bite in the sauce with plenty of chicken and sausage to make a rather filling meal.

A neighborhood gem for sure...I'm sad I waited so long to visit but will be back!

I have had both catered and in store dinners and both were excellent

Our food was excellent, our waitress was amazing and we all left saying we will be back!
