McGuire Homes creates a design like no other here locally in the Champaign Area! As a broker I have had the pleasure of marketing her plans and designs. Her and her design team make my job pretty easy! :) Her attention to detail, finishes, trends, exceeds so many others. If you haven't had the chance to tour one of her masterpieces you are truly missing out! She is one of the few that really knows what a "Custom" home is. This design company does not pay its subcontractors on time. This very week, a subcontractor has informed me that he will place a lien on my property because #McGuire Home Collection has not paid him. He said two checks for nearly $15,000 bounced. Now, my family will be on the hook for that bill thanks to this company despite the fact that we paid #McGuire Home Collection on time and in full.

We have had trouble with permits because of #McGuire Home Collection. They did not see to them properly. They blame a subcontractor

The owner of this company and its designer we have worked with have stopped calling me back. How these people can sleep at night is beyond my imagination.

If your idea of a good time is being treated horribly, get with this lot! If not, avoid them like the plague! This is a misery!

I had a pretty terrible experience with McGuire homes. Without going into too much detail the company's extreme disorganization put me into a situation where I was forced to abandon my construction contract with them, and purchase another home on extremely short notice.
If you're going to work with McGuire homes, I would strongly suggest purchasing an existing home, not contracting to build one. Ours was 25% over budget, and ended up taking twice as long as originally quoted.
