Sam's Cafe

This was our very first time eating from Sam's. I was a little nervous bc I wasn't sure what to expect, but the moment we walked out you could feel the friendly vibes. The food was so much better than I expected. I wish I could've given them a 10 star review. We got the French toast and the double cheeseburger and by far the best in town for both. French toast were so delicious, fluffy and sweet. Never tasted something so yummy. The cheeseburger was specially seasoned, juicy and bursting with flavor. We have been talking about this place to everyone we know. You will not be disappointed. We cannot wait to return.

Just a well priced diner. Had some of the best french toast I ever ate. However, make sure you bring some cash because it is cash only.

Diners are far and few between. Really good ones are farther and fewer between. Sam's is one of the latter. Do yourself a favor. Thanks to Sam's entire crew.

Everyone in our part of 4 were very pleased with everything. It was crowded, but it was worth the short wait. Plus the prices were very reasonable.

My partner and I recently discovered Sam’s cafe and are very happy we did. We love to sit at the counter and watch the food being cooked. It’s so impressive watching all the orders being prepared so efficiently! The breakfast is our most favorite and the prices can’t be beat! We will continue to go to Sam’s Cafe for sure!

When you walk in, you won’t think much of the place. But once the food arrives (quickly I might add), you’ll change your mind. Outstanding food. Def on our breakfast stop list next time we come through. French toast was the best I’ve had in quite some time!

We love these small mom & pop cafes and search them out during our road trips. Great breakfast, nice local people. Would come here all the time if I lived in Champaign.

The food was great, along with the service. It was the first time I had been in Champlain visiting my daughter. I told her I wanted a great mom and pop place to eat. Delicious

We picked this location because I share the name. We had nine people in our convoy and everyone kept talking about how good the food was. It's a quaint shop that reminds me of the locally owned shops in New York. Food was amazing! Servings were large for the prices. I finished my plate and then my wife's and then my sisters. The only reason I stopped eating was I was making myself sick from trying to eat too much. I'll say it again, it's amazing.

This is a great place for a meal! It's a no frills establishment with good food at reasonable prices. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Keep in mind that they don't take cards, so have cash on hand or use an app. I highly recommend when you're in Champaign!
