Logan is a great barber. Always done quickly and does a wonderful job. I have been here several times and never had any complaints. I do wish they would let you schedule appointments but if you come in the morning it’s only ever been a short wait for me (20-25 min at most).

Stopped into Hair of the Dog barber shop today for the 1st time. Loved the atmosphere from the get-go. Fish was my barber, solid dude. Best haircut I've had in years. He took care of me. I'll definitely be back.

I'm rating it 5 stars based on others experiences. I have stopped by a few times and there is always a wait. To me that means these folks know what they are doing. I'll get in eventually, and expect a great experience.

I'm absolutely stunned by the quality of my haircut. I just finished a round of chemotherapy so I've been growing my hair and beard out. Logan did an amazing job sculpting (yes, sculpting like an artist) my hair & beard to look nice and full. I had several spots that hair was still thinning, but he made my hair look better than before chemotherapy! I've given my business to three established barbers over five years within Springfield; I've now found the one! I wish I could have tipped him double!

First time getting my haircut here. Very satisfied. Actually...best haircut I've had in a long time! Scott was my barber and was friendly and did a great job! I'll be back!

Came in for the first time and got a cut from Logan, he killed it! Can’t wait to come back when the bar is open.

First time here. They got me in for a cut with a very minimal wait (like less than 5 minutes). The barber asked me a few questions about how I wear my hair normally and how I usually have it cut, and then got to work. He was fast and efficient. Could tell he was experienced and knows what he is doing. Very happy with the result. Will definitely be back and will highly recommend.

There was a short wait. The cut was sharp and exactly as I requested. As a woman it is hard to get a fade cut as nice as I got. The barber, Logan, was interesting and we had a comfortable chat while he cut my hair. 100% would recommend.

The best haircut I've ever had in the busiest barbershop I've ever been in, and still faster than any other haircut I've gotten. All while sipping an Old Fashioned.

Straight razer shaves are by appointment during the week only, but still a 5/5 experience. Will be back.

All I can say is WOW! The service is sublime, the trim and cut I got took me from grizzled mechanic to snowy Santa, and the drinks are absolutely delicious! The prices are definitely reasonable, and the staff is amazing! Definitely check them out!

Hair of the Dog is the first barbershop I've found in many years that reminds me of the barbershops of my childhood (I'm in my 50s). The atmosphere along with the actual hair care are spot-on. They even use a straight razor to clean up your neck! Jeremy is the barber I use, and he is the best in the business - fast AND excellent. But, from what I have observed, all the barbers in the shop do fantastic work.

Now, add on to the great hair care at Hair of the Dog, that you can also go to the adjoined bar part of the "Bar/bershop," it is a true delight. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails. I, personally, am a big fan of their spicy Bloody Mary on Saturday morning while I wait for Jeremy's chair to free up, but anytime is great.

Treat yourself to a classic experience! You will not be disappointed.

Great place, been going here ever since it opened, I've never had a bad experience, there is almost always someone available if you need to get in and out fast, and they are friendly. I usually ask for Tyler when I go but, I have used the other barbers plenty of times. They all do a great job and Jeremy does a great job training them up to his standards. Prices are more then fair, I would 100% always recommend this place if anyone asked for a good place to get a nice haircut.

its a barbershop with a bar in it. whats not to like? they do a good job at both aspects of their business. Cool downtown atmosphere. good barbers, good bartender, I've never had consistent barber, but I love going back and will continue too get my hair and wisky made neat there

Tyler has cut my hair a couple of times now and does an amazing job. My wife won’t let me go anywhere else. Had to wait a bit but the lounge was comfortable and relaxing while I wait. Couldn’t ask for a better place or a better barber.

They do get really busy after 5 so if you can get in before that. No complaints it is well
