I have called IDOR like 5 times or so and except one time Ive received great response from the phone reps. I dont think the negative reviews are for the people who answer the phone, because most of them are awesome and have a lot of knowledge. I spoke today to Chris from the Business line and he was amazing. He gave me the answers and solutions to the issues i was facing. Unfortunately the line disconnected before I could give him a review and Im not sure if he in Springfield, but he answered all my questions so patiently. I also spoke to Stephanie and she helped me answer some individual tax account questions as well. If majority of my calls resulted in great responses, I have to believe majority of people on the phone are good knowledgeable people.

I called and had some tax questions. The lady who answered the phone, Lisa, was very nice, very helpful and gave me information that not only answered my question but make sure I have all the information so I wouldn't need to call back. She deserves and raise and a vacation.

Maybe I got lucky, but the whole time was less than 5 minutes.

I had to wait less than a minute and they answered all my questions. I am extremely pleased with their knowledge

Big beautiful building with Majority glass windows and glass roofing! It also has a large exquisite garden with a small river that runs through it!

It is really a neat building in regards tol its design. I have a hard time giving them more than 4 stars just because of how much money I give them every year. And forf what benefit when you consider the state's current financial condition.

Had issues with my tax return, amended it, and submitted it, back in April. IDR then harassed me about paying them money that I did not owe. They threatened to send my account to collections, because THEY had not processed my amendment, that I had sent in no less than 6 weeks before. I then had to do all of the legwork to get my account put on hold until it was resolved. 6 months after I sent my amended return, I finally got my refund check. They can turn me into collections for not paying them, but they can take months to pay me? That's unacceptable and I will never have any business in Illinois again.
