The staff was very friendly and helpful. The clinic was clean and did not smell like a typical vet’s office. The doctor did a thorough examination on our St Bernard dog. She answered all my questions. She called me later with the test results and explained things well. Highly recommend this clinic.

My cat Eevee just had a major dental surgery here and the staff and Dr. were so supportive and professional. Honestly best vet I have ever been to. They also gave me amazing advice on how to give pain medication and how to care for Eevee afterwards.

I was so worried about Eevee's surgey and how she would feel after but they reassured me and that was really nice of them.

It has been a week after Eevee's surgery and she is recovering very well! Basically back to normal already. I highly recommend this vet, they truly care about your animals.

I have a very difficult, highly-reactive German Shepherd. We came here at the recommendation of our behaviorist after a bad experience with another vet in town. Dr. Cappa and the entire team are really understanding and willing to work with us on a plan for vet visits to keep everyone safe and comfortable. We would never go anywhere else now.

Today was our first appointment at Animal Hospital at the Crossing and it was AMAZING! I am a huge believer in having excellent customer service and this organization gets it!

We were greeted warmly. Everyone was so helpful and kind. It truly set the bar for excellence. They sent a prompt follow up email reviewing the services provided, attached additional resources for more information, and gave us a medication to try for potential allergies.

Even though they are priced higher than our previous veterinary clinic, you can’t beat their customer service! Above and beyond!

We’re happy and so is our doodle ❤🫶🏽

Switched to AHATC about a year ago after our dog, Hunter, was essentially banned from his last vet. He is highly anxious and difficult to work with, especially if you are trying to touch ears, paws, etc. We chose to try out AHATC due to all of the positive reviews. We have been met with the absolute best care all around, and are SO incredibly thankful for the care provided. We see Dr. Koehler who is so patient, empathetic, and amazing at what she does. She was able to give medicine to Hunter to help him calm down before his appointments, and does not get frustrated with his behavior in the exam room. Dr. Koehler and Sarah were a wonderful team at our appointment two days ago. They were able to help Hunter with a horrible ear infection. Not only were they able to get medicine in his ear, but diagnose and treat the issue as well. This picture is from 2 days after his appointment. He is feeling much better, and his ear is already looking a million times better as well. I am so thankful to have found someone who is willing and able to work with my anxious boy, and truly cares for him! We cannot thank you enough.

I lived in Champaign about 12 years ago. The Animal Hospital at the Crossing took care of not only my two older cats, but of me as well. I’ve recently returned to the area with my two younger cats. I was so happy to return to the clinic for my cats’ care and health! Many of the staff & vets are still there and as patient and caring as before. I absolutely trust The Animal Hospital at the Crossing with the care of my dear cats. I strongly recommend them for the care they will give to your beloved pets and of you too!

I really can’t say enough great things about this animal hospital. I have a senior dog and two cats who are all patients here and I never thought my pets would ENJOY trips to the vet before coming to this place. They treat my animals like their own and are always so clear and communicative with me throughout their treatment. I have been here for routine appointments as well as emergencies (one of my cats is a problem child…) and every time they have taken incredible care of my animals, been honest and understanding with me about their charges and pricing, and followed up via text and call after every appointment to check on my fur babies. They go above and beyond and you can tell that there is a genuine care for your animals when you are here. 11/10, cannot say enough good things about Shelby, Nicole, Dr. Stoerger, and all of the other amazing staff who help me at each visit.

The best vet I’ve ever been to. I will continue to drive here even though it is is an hour and a half away (each way). They are truly that amazing. They truly care about every patient and patient parent. They even let me show them photos of all my other pets and talked about how cute they are 💙💙literally perfect vet. Literally the best vet I’ve ever been to. I’ve had animals all my life and worked at a cat rescue as well and no vets have even come close to this place! I drive 1.5 hours to get here- seriously, that’s how amazing they are. It’s so clear they TRULY care. I’ve got Guinea pigs and they show so much care and kindness whereas there are many vets who don’t seem to care about small animals. Animal hospital at the crossing will be my vet forever! A 3 hour round trip is more than worth it for this place!

Dr. Koehler was excellent during our first vet visit for our Bernese Mountain Dog 9 week old puppy. She gave honest recommendations based on her clinical experience. My best friend is a GI doctor and she has convinced me to avoid heavily processed foods and oils (seed oils) at all cost. I've never fed any of my previous dogs (yellow labs > 100lbs) dog food and they have all lived to be 14 and 15 years old. Since the Bernese Mountain Dog is already so prone to health issues I was certainly planning on the same diet. Dr. Koehler seemed concerned about the right proportions of macros (especially as a puppy) and recommended a company "Just Food for Dogs" I really appreciated her recommendation based on my concerns and I bought a subscription right after our vet visit. Honestly, the food they provide looks exactly like the meals I was making at home. Peas, beef, chicken, brown rice, sweet potato, carrot....real food. I was also concerned about the flea and tick pesticides. Flea and tick meds are obviously necessary but; it's not like they are good for dogs. I was on a search for the least harmful. I showed her a brand our Newfoundland breeder recommended to us and she wrote it down and said she would look into it for me. She really went above and beyond to listen and address our concerns. My boyfriend and I were just really impressed with her and all of the staff she was very caring and went out of her way for us. We are getting a Newfoundland puppy next month and we want to ask for her again!
P.S Cute photos of our baby below. Once you see the photos you will understand why he must be protected at all costs! haha <3

Another wonderful experience with our two dogs—the staff is so kind and professional! They take care of our fur babies with the same love that we do, it’s a great feeling to know they’re in such good hands.

We’ve been to several vets in the area, but Animal Hospital at the Crossing is the best. We were referred due to their treatment of exotics, but we have been so pleased with the friendliness, laid back atmosphere, cleanliness of the facility, and the compassion we have received from the staff. After having to euthanize one of our guinea pigs, the staff was so sweet and caring, with the vet being visibly moved, even though this was not their pet and I’m sure they’ve done it countless number of times. We have continued to come to Animal Hospital at the Crossing with our cats and they have received the utmost care. The vets and techs are genuinely interested in providing our pets exactly what they need and not what is unnecessary for the situation. It’s easy to ask questions, as the vets are always down to earth and never make you feel like it’s a dumb question or you are taking up too much of their time. It’s always a joy to come in and hear the staff genuinely enjoying being there - it appears to be an excellent working environment, which makes the customer’s experience so much better. The office is so clean, without a hint of animal smells. I’ve never been to a vet’s office where you didn’t smell the animals or the harsh cleaners used, so I’m always amazed when I come in and smell nothing. We might be able to find cheaper services elsewhere, but no other vet’s office has compared to the care we receive at Animal Hospital at the Crossing. We are customers for life!

This was Raven’s first vet visit since we picked her out at the Humane Society in Urbana. She a black cat and is 8 months old. She received her rabies shot and last distemper shot, along with having her nails clipped. Staff was awesome. Raven didn’t even flinch when getting the shots and was pretty amendable to the nail clipping as much as a cat can be! Clean facility with separate rooms for cats and dogs. Vet and tech were very kind and loving toward Raven.

Changed to this hospital recently and it's already a big difference for the positive. Dr. Stoerger is easy to talk to, the staff and techs are all friendly and helpful. I never felt like I was being rushed, I felt listened to and respected, and the vibes overall were calming enough that my very dramatic shih tzu was willing to take treats (which he normally is too overstimulated and nervous to do at vets) even after he had to get a bunch of shots. It was a bit expensive compared to some other places but (spoiler alert) senior dogs are always expensive and I feel confident that the preventative and supportive care my pets will get here will prevent bigger issues in the long term.

Dr. Stoeger has been my pups vet since she started her career. My oldest pup crossed rainbow bridge yesterday at the age of 17 in no small part to the amazing care she has provided over the years. When she walked in the room to help us, I was overcome with gratefulness that it was her. There is no one better. She loves her patients as her own. ❤

Excellent experience at Animal Hospital at the Crossing. I took my very skittish rescue pup, Fergie, to be seen for her wellness exam and to get established since moving to the area. The facility is clean and very well maintained. Every single employee was so welcoming and friendly, to both me and my pup - it was appreciated and helped my pup feel more calm! The Vet Tech and Dr Koehler were excellent with Fergie and really put her at ease.I would highly recommend.

This place has been great on every visit for our newish puppy. Fair pricing, quality care. Our last visit was the dreaded 'chip and spay' surgery, and the stitching is immaculate. The dog is doing very well.

And who can go wrong with a vet called Animal Crossing? We were fans before we even knew they existed!

My cockapoo came home looking gorgeous with a cut just like we discussed. She gets very nervous about grooming but Alyssa does a great job with her.
