Used to come here on lunch cause it was close to work. They was nothing special Becky then but have really improved.
Wife wanted to go since it been years. Surprised me how they changed.
Service was great, food delicious and fast.

Love places like this! Whenever I find a family run business, I know it will be good and I was definitely impressed. The very berry french toast tasted like so fresh and fruity and the waffle was the best my partner had ate in a while.

Great place to get a delicious breakfast. My fiancée had the Mexican Omelette and I had the Chicken Philly Omelette. Both were great! The Philly has a white cheese sauce on top that is excellent. Nicely seasoned chicken and bell peppers, mushrooms and onions. The home fries were a great addition to the meal. The Mexican had taco meat, tomato, bell peppers and onions, along with cheddar cheese. Offered salsa and sour cream which topped it off nicely. Portion sizes were exact for the meal. Definitely a diamond in the rough here in Springfield!

My boyfriend and I eat here regularly. I love the atmosphere and the service is phenomenal. Must check it out if you are just passing through

I had the protein omelette sausage and ham and cheese it was really good but I just figured for the price should have been a little bigger I mean I'm a diabetic and I don't eat all the carbs I'm just saying anywhere else I've ever went to and got in an omelette usually 4 days a week it's chicken bigger you're still great though the server was excellent haven't been there in ages would definitely go back

This place is very close to work. I generally get the steak skillet on days when I need a decent portion of protein to get me through. The steak is always very tender and the eggs are always cooked perfectly the way I order them; over easy. When I first ordered here the person on the phone asked if I wanted cheese sauce. I said no, but she said it was really good and that I should at least get it on the side: she was right! I don’t like my food smothered in sauce, but their cheese sauce is like a lovely béchamel with lots of cheese and I always get it on the side. Clearly, the cooks do an excellent job here and the servers are efficient and speedy! Great job all around!

Went there this morning and had to get cinnamon French toast covered with 🍌🍓 and 🫐 with 🦃🥓 and breakfast patties and it's was so good

Great local place to get a hearty breakfast at a reasonable price with excellent service! We were passing thru Springfield IL on a family road trip and decided to have a late Saturday brunch. Homestyle Cafe was on our way. Online reviews were good, but nothing recent, so we were apprehensive. Especially when we pulled up to the little hole in the wall. But we saw lots of folks coming and going, so decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did! Waitresses were awesome. Food was delicious. And the prices didn't break the bank! Wish I'd snapped a couple of pics....but my kids devoured their food before I had a chance. My 17 year old son loved the Breakfast Shoe. My 11 year old daughter said the Popeye Omelette was even better than Dad's. My 15 year old daughter was delighted with her bacon and cheese omelette - and the waitress kindly let her choose a pancake as the side. My 12 year old daughter enjoyed her cinnamon french toast so much she didn't share. And my hubby and I were pleasantly surprised by the TWO sausage patties that came with our meal. Wish we had a diner like this one at home.
