Had a question about the proper way to dispose of jars of artwork glitter. Took about 2 minutes total. Quick and polite service.

"We safeguard environmental quality, consistent with the social and economic needs of the State, so as to protect health, welfare, property and the quality of life." [excerpted from IEPA web site]

So, how does it come to pass ...

that a growing group of concerned, organized, and informed citizens, in Lake County IL cannot get responsive action from the EPA to call out and enforce Medline's ABOVE ACCEPTABLE EtO LIMITS (by 500 times!) and FOR WITHHOLDING EtO DATA FROM THE PUBLIC FOR MANY YEARS?? YET IEPA IS WILLING TO PARTNER WITH MEDLINE TO RAISE EtO ACCEPTABLE LIMITS!?

... unless, the IEPA is corrupt???

I thought this agency was supposed to protect the environment, not the polluters. They should rename it the Polluters Protection Agency! How can they continue to ignore the EtO issue in Lake County!!

So disappointing to see how unprotected the environment and the citizens of Illinois are. Lake County has a huge problem with EtO, and the Illinois EPA has done absolutely nothing.

IL EPA goes above and beyond to protect polluters at the expense of people's health. It's the worst public agency we fund.

This number is disconnected and reaching the right party at the EPA is a joke.
