D & G Deli

For a few households, I ordered 16 lbs of chicken salad and finger rolls and a Greek salad. I ordered 2 days ahead so I wouldn’t go in and unexpectedly take so much inventory from their refrigerated case and bread shelves. I parked on the side street beside them. Everything was ready on time. They are insanely busy but work quickly and pleasantly and folks are in and out. Staff even offered to assist with bringing everything out to the car. As always, chicken salad is perfect, finger rolls are fresh and good, salad was fresh with plenty of dressing on the side. Thank you-this provided a treat for many :) JT

I go to this Deli daily, and I don't always get the same thing because there's so much yummy food there. I have to say though I'm a steak and cheese affectionado, and D&G Deli has the best steak and cheese out of anywhere in norwood, let alone the rest of the state and even back home in New Hampshire where I grew up. If you happen to see a young man named Kevin working when you come to this Amazing Deli, definitely ask him to make you his steak and cheese. You will thank me.

D&G deli has the best chicken salad, seafood salad, potato salad, tortellini salad, soups, and more! They have excellent deli meats, rolls and will make sandwiches as well. There are Italian cookies also. I haven't tried everything but what I have is amazing. Highly recommended!

Amazing deli, food is great and the service is amazing. Spicy chicken salad was perfect and both of their hot and cold subs are fantastic I had the chicken parm and got plenty of food for the price

I’m planning to stop in today. My brother Franny drives from Jamaica Plain to purchase the famous “chicken salad “ for him and our Mom who is 93 yrs and an incredible cook. She knows the quality of food when she tastes it and they both rave about D&G deli. The chicken Parmesan is also a favorite of theirs. I can’t believe the prices are so reasonable. I’m driving from Rhode Island and can’t wait to check it out!

Best Chicken Salad besides my Mom’s. I love that it is just chicken and mayo, no fillers. Fresh and delicious every time. The staff is very friendly!

the chicken salad is ridiculous, the steak and cheese is the real gem though, just wont ask for extra cheese! They put like 7 slices on it as it is. perfectly cooked steak, perfect amount of cheese however much they actually put on it. I can taste it right now. Awesome service with a smile always, thank you

Had a great steakn cheese sub and picked up some chicken salad. They have got the best chicken salad around if you are in the area give them a try and pick up some chicken salad for dinner or lunch the next day you won't be disappointed.

Very friendly staff.... always great steak and cheese bomb and chicken salad... fun place to test your knowledge on the quiz board win a few stars if you are right...I get 2 subs and split each chicken and steak... all sandwiches are made fresh open 9am to 3pm daily

Long overdue review. My husband grew up in Norwood and wanted to show me the "best chicken salad place" that he knew. Whoa! He was right, they're perfect! Anytime we are even close to Norwood, we go out of our way to swoop in and grab some sandwiches. The owner is wicked nice and cares about his customers too! I was having a rough day recently, and REALLY NEEDED a D&G chicken salad sandwich.. I wasn't even thinking about what time it was, and when we arrived at D&G, we discovered it had closed 3 minutes before we got there. I had a really dramatic meltdown in the car, and somehow the owner saw this. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a friendly guy waving me in; was the owner! He hooked me up with a sandwich and TRULY saved the day. Thanks D&G! See ya soon!

Absolutely love this place. I absolutely crave their cranberry walnut chicken salad with lettuce and pickles....highly recommend. The owner is such a sweet guy and you can tell they just love making a great quality product.

D+G is a norwood staple. Chicken salad is THE way to go, but I'm sure they have other stuff. Been going here for over 25 years and the business is built for the community and serves customers so well.

Always save a few bucks to check the case they have of today's special sandwhiches!

Best chicken salad in Boston and the nicest people run the business.

D&G sells a glass bottled lemonade that is downright perfection in its nostalgic deliciousness, reminiscent of a certain frozen lemonade we used to get as kids during summers on the Cape. If the rest of the sandwiches are half as good as their spicy chicken salad, D&G is a strong contender for the best deli in the greater Boston area title.

The other day I was craving the delicious wallnut/raisings chicken salad, but due to the new store hrs, I could not stop by to get it, so I called and asked how could I get it, the manager was so nice, he left the food outside on ice for me.this is just priceless!!So i could enjoy my favorite chicken salad!! Well done sir, thank you!!!

They have the best chicken salad by far. I recommend buying a pound of it and making your own sandwiches, as the bread they use doesn't do the chicken salad justice.

Food is excellent.They sell tons of chicken salad prepackaged.They sell great sandwiches made to order.The best is their turkey gobbler with stuffing and cranberry sauce.Always busy.Park on the street.
