Apolis Greek Street Food

First time here and I fell in love!
Reminds me so much of the little Greek deli and store back home in Oregon State.
The food was excellent, I took a friend with me for her first bite of Greek food and she is now a convert.
I had what they called a street wrap, which was a gyros and my friend ordered a build your own pita. We shared some Greek fries.
This is definitely a place I will hit up every time I'm in the town of Lyle.
As a side note it's in a little strip mall and during peek hours parking can be hard to find.

Was in Chicago yesterday for some client visits. Was with our 2 local sales guys, both Chicago natives. One of them insisted on this place for lunch. I have to say, it was one of the best, if not *the* best, gyros I've ever had in my life. My companions raved about what they had. I've eaten all across this great country - Honolulu to Los Angeles to Dallas to Tulsa to New York to many, many more - this mom and pop, authentic Greek family spot is the real deal. Delicious.

Authentic Greek food, warm atmosphere with Greek music playing and very friendly staff. Walls are painted with Greek scenes. The food is delicious!

The best gyros that I have ever had. Also their lamb chops are definitely some of the best that I have tried anywhere in the world. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, fast service. What more do you want?

Not too many options, which is always a plus, so they can focus on what they do best. Meat is fresh and tastes good, Sauces are balanced. Proportions on point. Cooking area is clean, service really fast. It well deserves all the fame they got. For a fast food Greek place it’s almost as good as it gets.
Add Apolis sauce you won’t regret it.

I’ve been coming to this hidden gem on & off for 2 years now and finally want to give a little review. It is just…… SO FREAKIN’ DELICIOUS. They are not stingy on the portions at all— you definitely get what you pay for here. I always go with the beef+chicken combo Skepasti with Greek fries and it never disappoints. The flavor is always a 10/10 and I always leave this place feeling filled up (in a good way). Would highly recommend squeezing a lemon all over your dish, it complements the other flavors very well. I just took my friend here today and he’s already obsessed. He’s going to bring his folks here from now on too. The place is definitely on the brighter side, but that won’t stop me from supporting it. I hope to see more open up in other areas. Sidenote— I used to go to a Greek place in Bolingbrook and ever since I munched at Apolis I’ve never been back to that other place. This is where it’s at!!!! 🔥🔥

This restaurant is great. Excellent Greek cuisine. A large selection of Greek dishes. At the same time, a nice atmosphere with Greek music in the background.

Apolis is a great option if you're craving some fast casual greek food. I highly recommend the Zeus burger! The burger is huge and so delicious. It's a bit on the pricier side but worth it given the portion. Additionally the quality of the meat is great. The service is usually quick and painless. Would highly recommend.

Me and my girlfriend just got back from a 2 week trip to Greece. Stayed there 9 days. 3 days in Athens, 3 Days in Mykonos and 3 days in Santorini. I've never been on that side of the globe before but boy am I glad because the food there was amazing. When we got back we tried to hunt down what's the best Greek Authentic food we could find and this place hits it right on the dot. Will not be my last time coming back!

Best Yeeros/Gyros ever! Everything we’ve tried has been delicious! Owners are very friendly. We order and pickup to bring home and enjoy with a glass of wine.

First time here and will definitely be back. The portions are big, the fries were so good. I tried the Apolis sauce and it’s my new favorite.

First time trying this and will definitely come back. The gyros were delicious, the chicken skewer was very tender and flavorful, and the pitas were great. Highly recommend.

LOVED IT!! I have little knowledge of Greek food, but I do love food and this place hit home! I ordered the plate; my wife ordered the pita. Both were copious amounts of food--way more than we needed. I was able to pile high the veggies on top of my choice of protein, and then still added a couple sides. Everything tasted so fresh. I had to wait a couple minutes while they fried up a fresh batch of fries for me. Absolutely delicious. And, while we were enjoying our meal, I heard another family exclaim to one another as they left how much they loved it. We will definitely be making a return trip when we're in the area.

Call me Kronos since I'm about to eat a Zeus Burger!! Also, try their Greek Fries and Skepasti. Our go-to when we eat here.

Great food and friendly service! Portions were very generous and all the food is fresh and made to order. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good, casual Greek food.

It's the original location and food is fenomenal every time. I wish they would stay open in Glen Ellyn but I guess it's really hard to hire good help now a days. I still make the drive out here to tast that food. Favorite is the Zeus Burger.....every layer is better then the previous one lol.

Souvlaki were some of the best I've had outside of Greece! All the protein options are amazing. Order at the counter and pick up when number is called (which won't take long at all!) Perfect after a stroll around the Arboretum.

Food is amazing! Everything is always so fresh. Love gettinf the rice bowl. All of the meats are cooked to perfection. Burgers are huge! Fries are hand cut. Sometimes it is a little bit of a wait but ita because evey meal is prepared once you order. The All of the employees are very nice and helpful! Definitely worth the price.
