We stopped and brought the crowd!! With so many unique and classic options to choose from I asked what they recommended. I took the advice and was not disappointed. I ordered a gourmet specialty hot dog that was recommended by the manager and a Yellowstone brat with regular fries. Everything was exceptional and classic fries were fresh cut style. There was an outdoor eating area with umbrellas on the table and the service was fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and upbeat.

Great value and taste. Everything was fresh and presentation was on point! The greater chains charge more and care less. If you enjoy the perks of a classic Chicago style dog in a hot dog stand atmosphere, it's a must try. Heck, you might even try something new!

We were recommended by a friend to check out this place and it did not disappoint! You can get your traditional Chicago dog and then some. Everything we tried was amazing! Their hot dog buns were super soft! Every single staff member were friendly... minus the small heckling for wearing cubs shirts haha (they're Sox fans). Big shout out to William for being so nice and welcoming. Thanks for the birthday treat for my husband! Highly recommend Boss Dawgz!

This is not your typical Chicago style hot dog. This place is art! Yet at the same time: amazing fries, affordable prices, fast and friendly service. Everything a hot dog stand should have and the selections are super creative and delicious. I recommend looking at the menu online ahead of time so you can see what the special is this week. But good luck making the decision!

Holy smokes… this place is phenomenal. It is a smaller shop but there are more than enough seats. It is super clean in there which I appreciate. The menu is to your right as you enter and it is extensive.

As soon as my food was called out, I started eating and didn’t have time to take a picture. It is that good. I will need to go back for sure 😃

Standard delicious hotdogs. Unique topping creations on various hotdogs, great menu selection for a simple food item. Owner is very gracious and friendly to all customers, really generous with customer service. The place has a cool old school drive up vibe. I'd recommend eating at this restaurant.

This was probably my 4th or 5th time coming here. I like the variety of hot dogs, brats, and beef. I haven’t tried the brats or Italian beef but the hot dogs I’ve tried are all very tasty. This time I did the 3 hot dogs and French fries combo with a side of cheese. I had it to go. Just to clarify, it came in a styrofoam container but nothing melted. French fries were not soggy and container of cheese did not melt. Yeah that reviewer does not know what he’s talking about. Staff was very nice. They treat you like family. Plenty of seating. Prices were not expensive.

-blu bayou - 5/5 - perfectly charred, hot sauce gave it a mild kick. Mushrooms gave it a savory flavor.
-boss chili mac dawg 5/5 - different interpretation of the chili dog but with mac and cheese added. Great choice.
-want you to want me - 5/5 - flamin hot doritos gave the hot dog a nice crunch
-French fries - 5/5 - crispy and fresh.

It was my first time there and I was blown away by the quality of food. I thought it was gonna be like a tradition chicago hotdog place but it was much better. The food was absolutely delicious and the two guys running the place were very welcoming! I will for sure be back soo!

A quiet little place with a giant taste. Along with its odd location, it also comes with an odd menu. Matching the strangest of flavors on top of a very yummy very tame hot dog. Every single hot dog on the menu seems odder than the next. But every single bite is so amazing. My favorite is the boss dog classic, I also ask to add the flaming hot Doritos. The owner is super friendly and very very passionate about his food. He really knows how to match the flavors and has the best recommendations.

Best dogs I’ve ever had. Amazing buns. Lots of options for toppings but they’re great plain — which says a lot.

Best in the west burbs. Not a cookie-cutter vienna joint. These dogs are a level up. Great menu, buns made in house(!!!), fresh cut fries, friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating, reasonable prices. This place rules!

Took my 17 year old here as a quick treat for some manual labor. Not only delicious but also accommodated for me as a vegetarian, was very reasonably priced, exceptional service and very convenient location. We will be back for sure! There are not that many places that he and I both love, but this will be one of them 🥰.

Awesome dawgz, weekly specials, and coolest soft-drink machine ever. Do not sleep on this place because it is hotdogs, they house-make their bread, their fries, and pretty much all their toppings. Great to stop by for lunch! I always get the double-dog combo with the Classic and one of the "weekly special" flavors. Fries are always super fresh!!!

What a great place! We finally tried Boss Dawgs and were really impressed. The food was great and prices were super reasonable. I love that they have the option for “charred dogs”. The owner was super friendly and kind- we will definitely be back!

My new favorite hot dog place. The fresh made hot dog buns give this place an edge. Fresh cut fries, too. Many different ways to prepare their dogs with excellent toppings, from Chicago style to chili, mac & cheese, and a vegetarian option. And the owner is super friendly, often checking up on the customers with friendly conversations.

We absolutely love this place. We would be here every day if we didn't mind ending up on My 600lb Life. They bake their own buns in house, and they are amazing - super soft, but sturdy enough to hold up to all the toppings. My personal favorites are The Lady Knows (hot dog covered in chili and Fritos), and the Maxwell Street Polish (so effing good - the sausage is perfectly charred and beyond delicious, and slathered in beautifully caramelized grilled onions. It also comes with peppers, but I ask them to hold those). The fries? To die for. Crisp and tasty, every time.

I've also had some of their more eclectic selections, which are also encased-meat perfection. I forget the name, but there's one with bbq sauce and blue cheese... Delicious.

As if that weren't enough, the service is super friendly - I've never had anything less than a great experience with the staff, and the owner obviously cares about the food they serve and the people to whom they serve it - dude is super nice and super chill.

We tried Boss Dawg for the first time tonight and had a great time! The food was great. The fries are dangerously addictive. The service was quick and the people were warm and welcoming. It was clean and the bathrooms were well maintained. They gave my children hotdog themed accessories and had a selection of coloring activities. The staff made my child feel very special when he turned his picture in to be hung up on the wall. I will definitely be coming back again soon. Only recommendation would be to get an additional high chair to better serve the families (like ours) who obviously love Boss Dawgs!

Update: 6 visits now, everything has been amazing, including staff! This is the Danny boy, and yes that's 2 slices of corned beef on there!

Second visit, both great! Handful of fries is plentiful and included with your dog. This is the Blu Bayou, a tasty combination! Fresh baked buns are killer!

Not even sure where to start... Extremely creative menu and daily specials. Fresh cut fries are fantastic. Outstanding freshly made buns (baked onsite). The owner is an evil hot dog genius that made sure every customer knew how much he appreciated their business. All this from a hot dog joint! Simply fantastic.

Hands down the best spot to grab a quick and delicious bite to eat. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Customer service is top tier. This business makes you feel welcome. Personally recommend the special "Phil E cheesesteak with peppers"
