Side Street Cafe

This was our first time here. Bar Harbor was a hopping place and we did the online wait list, started at #44 and our wait ended up being 40 minutes. The process was easy, and now the food part.... wait for it.... food was awesome. The service was also exceptional, from the hist, to our waitress to the food runners. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great spot for dinner and drinks.

The lobsters rolls are full of luscious meat and served chilled.

Their margaritas are good and they offer a variety of flavors; mango, blueberry and more.

They have plenty of seating indoor and out. The bar is also a great place to pull up a seat and have some drinks/food.

Excellent and quick service. The waitress even mentioned the price of the specials. I got the chicken caprese salad and substituted it with shrimp they did not even charge me extra for the shrimp! The fries were well seasoned and the calm chowder was thick and delicious. The blueberry margarita was strong and tasty. My husband got the burger it came with chips and a lot of avocado. The burger was okay but the rest was very good.

I took my family to Side Street Cafe in Bar Harbor. We had an awesome time there. This place is great for kids. They gave my girls Play-Doh to play with while we waited for our food. It kept them entertained while we enjoyed the atmosphere.

The food at Side Street Cafe was fantastic! We tried the haddock tacos. The fish was soft and tasted great.

I also tried a spicy margarita. It was the best one I've ever had! It was spicy but not too hot, and it tasted great with the tacos.

So, if you're in Bar Harbor, you should visit Side Street Cafe. It's a fun place for families, and the food is great. Try the tacos and the spicy margarita!

Had my 1st Lobster roll here and I got hooked (fisherman humor). What a great find. Do yourself a favor and get off the main drag and go to the Side Street Cafe. Nice wait staff, good amount of seating, and excellent food. Crab dip was so good that I forgot to take a pic before eating half of it..

WOW! 🤩 This is the #1 BEST LOBSTER ROLL in Bar Harbor …so we HAD to try it! It did not disappoint!!!! It was SOOOOO GOOD!!! Anton, our server was amazing! Super fast service and we got right in! The atmosphere was inviting and the cocktails and mock tails were so delicious!!!!

Do not leave without trying the Cadillac Fries!!!!

Their lobster stew was the best thing I ate in Maine during my stay, their French fries were the best we’ve tried in Maine, and their chicken salad wrap is as on point with fresh vegetables.

I got a virgin blueberry mojito that was refreshing, pretty, and tasty - highly recommend!

I tried Side Street on the suggestion of the crew working at Acadia GEMS. Best choice for a quick dinner after a day of hiking! I enjoyed it so much that I went back the next day with a friend for dinner and then the retreat group that we met up with selected Side Street as our lunch stop on Sunday. So yes, I ate at Side Street 3 times in 4 days! No regrets!!

The happy hour menu is on point! But also, the Cadillac Fries and Lost Lobster platter were both first class!

Came to downtown harbor to grab dinner. The atmosphere looked good so we stopped in, we also had a dog so we were looking for outdoor dining restaurants.
The place was super busy as we came here on Holiday weekend. But we got table pretty quickly. The food was pretty tasty, we had non-alcoholic beverages which were refreshing. It was the perfect spot to grab dinner after a long day of hiking and sightseeing!

Awesome happy hour and dog-friendly restaurant! We come here every time we visit Bar Harbor and LOVE their lobster dishes. The margaritas are famous for a reason and the staff is very personable. It’s the Cheers bar of Bar Harbor.

Cute place. Really solid food. Lobster is great. Blueberry pie is also very good but not my favourite crust. Kinda try at the edges

We love this lovely cafe in Bar Habor. The bartender is very nice and friendly.

Food is good, we really appreciate their hot blueberry pie served with ice cream. However, the lobster stew is a little bit salty.
Highly recommend to take a drink here when you come by.

My parents and I just got into town after a long day of flying and driving and came here for dinner. The food was amazing but I especially loved the blueberry pie, it was my number 1 favorite piece of pie the entire trip. They had live music going on and it was just a perfect dinner.

A great place for dinner in Bar Harbor! It was busy so we sat at the bar, but it was perfectly comfortable.

I took the advice of the waitress/bartended and went with the seasonal margarita. It was a Lavender Lemonade Marg. No regrets - it was delicious.

Fried Lobster Ravioli was incredible, but a bit pricy. My wife wasn't feeling great, and the waitress very kindly helped us find something that sounded good to her.

Best seafood in Maine, I loved the crab dip it has so much flavor. I ordered lobster roll such tender meat. Bun perfect nice crunch with soft buttered bun. It also comes with cup of clam chowder. Actually has clams in it with great flavor. This place is so good. Last year when I came to visit I ordered the seafood pasta absolutely amazing and so much seafood in it. It's a big portion hope your Hungary or get a to go box. I loved this place so much I walked in the rain to get there. After I left it was pouring rain so hard. They have a taxt service set up new. I met the owner and was so amazing and nice. Offered this service to his customers. So helpful and would highly recommend this place to anyone that visits Maine and goes to Bar Harbor. Thank you so much u guys u did amazing job!!!

One of the best places in Bar Harbor. Food comes out fast and is delicious, and the margaritas are top notch! Gluten free food is amazing. Love coming here!

We enjoyed a nice lunch at this busy spot in Bar Harbor. Food and service were good, with the only complaint being about the blackened tacos and the ingredient ratio being off.

Had my first lobster roll here and it was delicious. Great selection of local beers and my fiance said they might have had the best burger he's ever eaten.

The best Lobster 🦞 Roll ever combined with New England Chowder made fresh from Maine Shellfish Distributors. The waiter Michael was so kind and accommodating when I switched my seats from outside to the Bar… sweet potatoes are amazing and Travis the bartender was very kind offering me honey mustard for my fries… The Meal… OMG! Delish!! And what a delectable feast, which is exactly what the dish is called “Lobster Feast.”
Not to big of a meal but just right for the backpack traveler passing through after 4 mile hike up Cadillac Mountain.

Extremely cute and allergy friendly restaurant! If you love margaritas, they have amazing ones including blueberry! My personal favorite thing here was the blueberry mint lemonade; to die for. They have great lobster rolls (with gluten free and dairy free options) and absolutely delicious tacos. Super friendly staff and loved the outdoor space.
