What a gem of a place and owners! Such great people! Visited the location a few times while in town. Locally made gifts of quality and unique. All drinks are local to Maine. Go here!

Today my wife and I happened to pop into this store to have a look around and I discovered the speakeasy, we loved it so much we popped back later to have another drink.

I would like to say a massive thank you to Darrin for helping me get a bottle of Wiggly Bridge. The Maine Store is a true gem, if anyone asked me for a highlight of our holiday this will be it. I sincerely hope we get to come back to Bar Harbor and visit again. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality.

This great store features local handmade merchandise, love supporting local! In addition, there is an awesome speakeasy inside with excellent beer, wine, cocktails, and the friendliest owners that are classy as f**k. This spot is worth visiting more than once!

We were introduced to this speakeasy while on a culinary tour. We came back on our own later and enjoyed drinks, conversation and expert advice on the local area from Darrin, the bartender/owner. He is a tremendous entrepreneur and his establishment is a hidden gem that deserves your visit.

Absolutely killer time at the speakeasy and of coarse the store. The wife shopped(a lot), I drank a ton of great beers, met new friends, and shared good stories. Darren and Christina are awesome. After talking to them, I felt
like i’ve know them for years. Great location, great atmosphere, great owners. Till next time my friends

We loved the Maine store! 70 local vendors. The best shop for goodies to bring home. They are connected to the rebel lobster speakeasy where you can get a drink. The men drank and the girls shopped. Win, win. They have a music trivia game that they play every day around 6pm. We loved it so much we came back for it. Darrin(bartender) and Christina(store manager) are fantastic.

Stumbled on this store and bar by chance- super cool speakeasy inside with interesting drinks and friendly bartender. The store itself is really amazing with the best collection of local artist gifts. Def stop by this unique store!

What an amazing time we had at The Rebel Lobster Speakeasy! We were just waking through town sight seeing and gift shopping at The Maine Store when we came across this little gem! We sat down and had a few cocktails and boy did we not regret it! I had a gin cocktail with local Maine blueberry soda that was delicious and he had a local Maine bourbon. The owner was so sweet and so friendly with great suggestions for places to go and things to do. This is a MUST go place to see.

A charming and eclectic gift shop with a terrific little speakeasy! Only 6 stools at the bar, but you don’t need more than that! The owners are charming and provided us with not only lots of local knowledge but some of the best Mules (Blueberry) we had on our trip! Lovely place.

The owners are so kind and fun! We ended up coming back here a few times! Great drinks all local to Maine! Will definitely be visiting again next time we’re in the Bar Harbor!

Our favorite part of our stay in Bar Harbor was coming to this store and discovering the speakeasy! Darren and Christina (sorry if I spelled y’all’s names wrong) are wonderful people and shared many recommendations and local stories. We bought a lovely art print by a local artist (of course) and enjoyed several local beverages. The Maine Store is definitely at the top of our list of “must do’s” when we come back to Maine. Cheers “to beyond the limit”!

Love this unique shop! It’s filled with Maine made things. Found a beautiful watercolor print from a Maine artist that I couldn’t leave without, and can’t wait to come back in the future to buy another. Also found other cute unique gifts, such as a lighthouse bell for cheaper than a store on main st. The owners are locals and said they’re constantly researching for new crafters/artists to display in their shop to keep things new and updated. Must stop in here when visiting Bar Harbor!!

Love this off best place. Great beer and great owner/bartender. Grab a local beer and sit and watch the world go by.

Locally owned and the owners are on-site. They are natives and add so much to the Maine experience! They provided sightseeing and food recommendations. I wholeheartedly endorse both the gift shop and the underadvertised speakeasy!!! What memorable experiences we've had there the last 2 evenings!!

What a great shop!! They only carry things actually made in Maine. So many shops carry only a few local items and lots of stuff made elsewhere (ie China). This place is a gem! The owners are kind and thoughtful and the shop is clean and well stocked. Thank you.

Quaint little shop with unique items. Lady who manages it, I believe her name is Cristina, was very helpful. I would recommend anyone visiting Bar Harbor to check it out even for gifts for someone else.

We love this place! They have a little speakeasy bar and wonderful music! Bought some beautiful watercolor prints. Can’t wait to go back!
