The Acadia National Park is such a beautiful place. There is so much to do and so little time to do it. There is hiking, going to the beach, sightseeing, and so much more. I recommend going early because the parking lots fill up pretty quickly. I love the bus shuttle. It brings you all over the place! Be careful of the schedule and route. We got on the wrong one, and it drove us the opposite way. Thankfully, the bus driver was nice enough to bring us to our destination. She went way beyond her route, and we were so grateful. At the information center, you pay the fees, get the maps, and if you need extra information, there are rangers to help you. There is even a jr Rangers booklet for the children. Acadia National Park , I highly recommend it!

Beautiful visitor center on a hill surrounded by trees! A short hike to include 52 steps/stairs and you are the there. The folks there were all a delight.

Get there early or you might have trouble finding a place to park. You can catch the bus there that takes you around the island. There is a few stairs to climb to get to the visitor center to get a park pass and to the gift shop. Everything moved pretty smoothly at both places. Even though alot of the park is dog friendly they are not allowed in the visitor center.

This visitor center in Acadia is really beautiful. The maps and junior Ranger books are free. It information is nicely displayed along the visitor center. We enjoyed the place a lot.

Have to say that Acadia National Park may be my favorite one yet! Stop in at Hulls Cove Vistor Center when you get here. Free bus shuttle every 30 minutes to take you around the park.

Parking can be an issue, so plan accordingly. If passport cancelation stamps are your thing, they are plenty around here. But again, plan accordingly two stamps are on islands and have to ferry their. Totally of 12 stamps are available at different locations.

Their is also a junior ranger badge that kids can complete and receive junior ranger badges.

Absolutely beautiful views everywhere you go.
I will be planning another trip here and to spend more time.

The visitor center is where you start your Acadia adventure. Buy your ticket and get a park pass to put in your windsheld. Cost between 20 and 30.00 unless you have a national park pass. Then go on the loop or walk the carrage trail that starts at the visitor center. Be sure to stop and see all the out of this world sites. It was cold and rainy when I was there but still stopped to look around. Make sure to do a junior ranger program. They are free for kids of all ages and you learn a lot.

The park rangers were very friendly and provided helpful recommendations when we asked about what trails to hike! There is a nice carriage trail that starts in this parking lot with a 5.2 mile loop for biking or walking.

It’s a must to visit national park in Maine, the place to see sunrise first in US. There are shuttle buses taking you to the attractions. There are about 11 routes ! At this parking lot I can park my rig with a towing car! The staff are working hard and very friendly.

We walked up a lot of stairs to reach the visitors center to get a ticket. After we were pulling out of the parking lot we saw there was an upper level parking lot available...lol. Acadia park was beautiful, crowded but we could find a pull over now and then and the vista's were beautiful.

Get good info. It is different in many ways from the early 70s. Still special. I miss many of the old school keepsakes, but a decent number of trinkets

I was there yesterday and asked the ranger for ideas to explore the area with a baby stroller and he was very helpful. I went twice to ask him questions and both times he answered my questions. I was very impressed with the clear help that I got. (Just a baby tip, a baby carrier is better than a stroller for hikes and a stroller with big wheels is much better than a stroller with small wheels)

Fantastic national park, with free buses to see all the attractions. Free to veterans.

Staff was great and answered all my questions. There are 52 steps to get to the visitors center, so if you have a handicap placard or plate, use the back road to get up there. (There is a sign indicating the direction.) Cute little souvenir shop too.

You can see great view in this National Park. The whole Island is very enjoyable place and a little bit large, so if possible I recommend to stay inside the island. The National Park visiter center is near Bar Harbor(it is a cute downtown). Maybe it takes about 30 mins from bridge to the island by car. The center you can take map, buy souvenirs and pay for road trip to see around wonderful places. Unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to see all, but I drove up only to top of Cadillac Mountain. If you don’t have time, you have to go here. This is the tallest point in the island so you can see everywhere on the island. Very beautiful. You can get to by your car. But parking lots is not enough to accommodate all cars visiting there. So it would take a longer time to find a lot...But
you should going here.

All the information you need about Acadia National Park starts here. We parked at the end of the parking lot and started our day here with a 7.5 mile (1 1/2 hour) bike ride straight to Jordan Pond House via Eagle lake carriage road. Here we had our lunch and enjoyed pop overs and a sandwich. We left our bikes there and hike along Jordan's Pond around South Bubble up to North Bubble. We proceeded over to South Bubble and straight down to Jordan Pond trail back to Jordan House. Total hike was about 4.5 miles (2 1/2 hours). We hopped back on our bikes and headed back on the carriage trails to visited center. A great day and workout in Acadia.

I am always glad to see a visitors center for a national park. This one was pretty simple in comparison to the many parks we’ve visited but it had all you need to get around Acadia which was our primary goal.

Very unique location with access to the island across a land bridge that emerges every 12 hours or so. Pictures shown are about 3 hours prior to low tide. Definitely a great spot to take kids

Great visitor center for a great national park. The rangers are incredibly helpful about Acadia’s trails and other activities. You can find countless souvenirs and maps here. It is also a convenient hub for the free bus services throughout the island.

Beware: you’ll have to climb over 50 steps to get to the center!

Not much to this place except for a walk up the stairs and a couple exhibits to check out if you have to wait in line for Acadia tickets. Really more of an excuse to get hyped for your Bar Harbor vacation after hours in the car as it’s the first Acadia stop after crossing onto MDI. You’re better off buying your park entrance pass and Cadillac drive-up slot online well in advance, but if you didn’t, this is your spot.
