Sunrise Cafe

Staying up in Freeport and visited the Sunrise Cafe 👍eggsellent place for breakfast went around 8:30 and there was no wait our waitress was very friendly with a nice smile that always starts off a meal right. We ordered the country eggs Benedict (a grilled biscuit with a sausage patty and a beautiful cheesy egg on top with a side of potatoes) like I said it was eggsellent 😋 good portion eggs were done just right and the grilled biscuit was a perfect foundation for it potatoes were cooked perfectly and the coffee was really good too I’ll be going back for the hash it looked delicious too so if you’re hungry for breakfast and want some really good comfort food stop at the Sunrise cafe in Freeport Maine you won’t be disappointed 🙂

Good simple breakfast. Service is excellent and I love it when they burn my bacon the way I like it 😋 (being serious, they make it the way I ask). This is our stop for food for every road trip adventure.

It's worth the Sunday breakfast, mania! The staff was very friendly, and the food was tasty and well seasoned! The price is very reasonable for the service and the food! I recommend this place as a good pitstop for a Maine coastal adventure journey!

Great value for an excellent breakfast. I originally thought beans were a weird thing to get for breakfast, but boy was I wrong. Dare I say the beans were so darn good they’re the #1 thing I’d recommend you try out although don’t worry - all of their other breakfast food is also great. Plus the service was fantastic so that’s an extra bonus.

Wonderful breakfast great service perfect AM with my daughter we enjoyed eggs perfect grilled English muffin and home fries and biscuits and gravy. The prices were great the atmosphere was cozy diner breakfast and good coffee . Our waitress was great took our order checked on us for more coffee a pleasant great Saturday AM at the Sunrise Cafe.

Great breakfast spot! Didn't try for lunch but am sure the food would be equally outstanding. A cute oasis for really well made southern food...and our server was sweet as pie. Will definitely be back whenever we come through for the LL Bean store.

I rdevoered a "The Meat". Sandwich consisting of a 1/4 pound of each, cheeseburger, pulled pork & brisket. I felt like a southern Jewish guy who loves a perfect cheeseburger. The owners are very friendly and were interested in my conversation. Can't wait to have an excuse to go back, live in Gardiner ME.

Great place for breakfast with friends, and the food is still good if you happen to be with enemies.

Went here for breakfast twice during our visit last month to Freeport.. friendly staff, great eggs benedict, delicious hash browns.. and the best coffee I've had in a long time! Keep up the good work!

There were only two waitstaff who were taking care of a room full of customers and they still did a great job. Food was delicious

GREAT breakfast food. Basic diner style food, speedy service, out of this world shredded potatoes, eggs cooked exactly as ordered. Conveniently located right off 295 and near Maine beer co, serving breakfast and lunch,
And open at 6 am daily.

My family and I have been going to Maine for close to 20 years and when this place opened, it became a favorite of ours. The menu is simple and the food is delicious. Our waitress this time around was attentive and personable. My fiance and parents ordered various types of pancakes and I ordered the eggs Benedict, we all loved our food. This is the first time my Fiance has come this far up in Maine and it's safe to say that he will be coming back with me. The Lewis-Walters family loves you!

We decided to give the Sunrise Cafe a try...so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious! They have a chef who knows how to cook scrambled eggs correctly, so my mom really enjoyed her breakfast. My breakfast sandwich was the best one I have ever had at a restaurant. The hash browns were cooked perfectly, very good! The coffee was fresh. I loved that they offered outdoor seating and the picnic tables were spaced far apart from each other. We will definitely be back the next time we are in this part of Maine.

My husband and I came here because of the reviews and boy were we NOT disappointed! Although I didn't order, they had grits which made me very curious....as being from Virginia..can't usually find this southern dish North of DC!

Anyhoo...we had a delightful breakfast of biscuits and gravy...and eggs with corned beef hash. Added a side of beans which were wonderful. Home fries were fresh and tasty. Eggs cooked perfectly. Hash was not home made (some times they do fresh) but were yummy!

Definitely a place to go!

Great hole in the wall. Staff was super effected and running around confidently and perfectly in sync. Not sure how they kept track of everyone but it definitely was a great experience and impressed us.
Food was also delicious. Great bang for your buck. Also was the only real place open for food around the area. It was "diner-esk". Don't let the furniture deter you, the place was delicious!
