Great customer service. Quick, easy booking and turnaround to get on the road. The E-bikes were awesome, easy to use, and good quality. Prices were very reasonable. Would definitely rent from here again. Also, the E-Bikes were so fun! Can't recommend them enough. Great way to see the park. We did a 4-hour rental, but next time we plan to reserve a bike for the day. Highly recommend. (Never has going up a long hill been so easy!) And the whole experience made you feel like you had the park to yourself. There are WAY LESS people on the carriage trails than on the roads. Definitely make Acadia Outfitters part of your trip!

The owners of Acadia Outfitters are so friendly, kind and professional. They were such a pleasure to deal with. We rented from them twice on our visit to Maine and both times, they suggested great trails and places to take the E-bikes and scooter to. All their rentals were well maintained. We look forward to dealing with them again when we return to Maine!

Great shop! Excellent service, wonderful people working there. Very helpful with fitting the bikes and helping us mapping the trails. The bikes were easy to learn, our first time with e-bikes. Bill helped us with seat adjustments and patiently answered all our questions. Pricing was competitive with other shops. The bikes worked fine and gave us four hours of fun riding through Acadia's carriage roads.

Helpful and friendly! We rented e-bikes to ride through the carriage trails of Acadia and the staff not only walked us through everything we needed to know about the bikes, they also gave us super helpful directions and a map. We planned to stop at Jordan Pond House for lunch, so they gave us a lock for no extra charge. It just felt like they were invested in us having a good time. :)

My experience with Acadia Outfitters was so incredible that I had to take the time to leave them a (lengthy) positive review. My group of friends and I have made a trip up to Bar Harbor/Acadia for the past 4 years (it's become an annual tradition). Two months prior to our visit my group of friends stated that they reserved some scooters for the morning to tour Cadillac Mountain with Acadia Outfitters. My girlfriend and I held off on our reservation since we were in the midst of finding someone to look after her son while we were gone. Long story short we could not find anyone to watch her son but she is absolutely incredible, wanted me to go up and have fun, so she was kind enough to stay home this time. I called Acadia Outfitters the day after but was told all the scooters had been booked. Fast forward to the trip. We finally made it up and the weather was looking atrocious Friday through Sunday. One of our friends convinced the group to keep the reservations and wait to see how the weather was the next day. Well we lucked out! There were plenty of clouds but there was no rain after the first initial 10 minute burst of rain when we first picked them up. lol. I called Acadia Outfitters when they opened at 8am and asked if there were any cancelled reservations but was initially told they were still fully booked. I don't know what possessed me to do so, but I followed the group anyway while they got signed up to the rent motor scooters. As I was waiting and wandering the shop the woman behind the counter asked me what I was planning on doing while the other 6 people were out exploring. I stated that I had no Idea and said I might just wander Bar Harbor by myself. She looked at the other employee, pointed at me, and shrugged at him with a curious look on her face. He looked into the shop and nodded back at her with a smile. She then told me that they had a backup scooter that day in case one doesn't work and asked me if would like to use it so could join my friends. Working for a shop that repairs cars, this is not something I would EVER expect to happen on any given day but of course I accepted and ultimately had the most fun exploring Acadia than I have had the past four years I have visited! It's not every day (or most days) a business that sees THOUSANDS of visitors a year would go above and beyond like this, purely out of the goodness of their hearts to make a customer happy. Whether you're a potential customer that took the time to read this review, a person not sure of what to do during your visit to Acadia, or someone with a reservation with them in the near future. Just know you're in good hands. If you are one of the two employees that helped me the weekend of September 24th 2021, I genuinely want to thank you for the kindness and hospitality you showed a complete stranger such as myself. You better believe I will always recommend you to anyone looking to visit and I hope I will see you again very soon!

We had two rentals/tours from Acadia Outfitters during our recent trip to Bar Harbor / Acadia. One day, my husband and I rented bikes (1 standard and 1 e-bike). Our experience was great - terrific equipment, efficient set-up and super friendly, helpful staff. On a second day, we did a 4-hr, kayak paddle with Chris. Wonderful experience! Their launch is a short walk from the shop so we were out on the water with little delay. Chris was prepared, informative and fun. We paddled out through islands in the harbor, stopping on the third for a short break before heading back. Would highly recommend Acadia Outfitters for whatever adventure you are looking for!

I had a great experience booking with them. Called the day before asking for two scooters but only one was available, which I reserved. Early the next morning, they called and let me know there was a cancellation so I could have two. Jenn and Bill were very helpful with getting me set up and flexible with my return time because of a late start. Make sure to call ahead because a lot of people book

Great experience renting e-bikes from here on Labor Day. Nice folks and bikes, easy instructions and a heck of a 20mi cruise around Acadia. They gave us a suggested around mtn route and it wasn’t too difficult for us Florida flat landers. 10/10 would recommend

Easy rental experience. Ebikes were in great shape (although our butts were out of shape for the relatively hard seats). We were worried about running out of battery but the ebikes have an incredible range and I ended up returning mine with 3/4 battery level left. Pro tip - the LCD display has a range indicator that wasn't turned on when we left the shop. Figuring this out halfway through our ride alleviated my anxiety about running out of battery and being late getting back.

We took the sunset paddle tour. Justin was very patient with inexperienced paddlers and really went out of his way to get to know the group.
Overall it was a good way to get a brief history of the area and see the various attractions & land marks from the water.

Our experience with Acadia Outfitters was fantastic. We rented 4 scooters. I was surprised at how quickly we were able to get on the road from when we showed up. It was also nice that the price they advertise is the price you pay, no hidden fees and the shown price includes tax and everything. On top of all that they were very friendly. I would absolutely recommend renting from them!

We are traveling from Maryland and we wanted to see the views on the parkway in a slightly different way, so we decided to rent scooters! The owners were fantastic! Super friendly and willing to answer any questions we had ( they were nice enough to help us map out our route ). The scooters were a lot of fun and helped make the experience. 10/10 would recommend!

Why they do not get FIVE stars is a mystery to us. We rented a scooter for a day and thoroughly enjoyed acadia. With a scooter you can easily park at all the sites without waiting for a car space. We easily saw the whole park in one day on a scooter. The staff was super friendly and answered all our questions. Would recommend to everyone. We would rent from them again.

Jenn at Acadia outfitters is AMAZING! She helped me coordinate a ride for 10 at the last minute. She made the wedding weekend amazing!

Rented two scooters this weekend to go through Acadia-best way to see it! Owners were very kind and price is very affordable!

Rented a tandem kayak from their team in the summer. Made a reservation and they had everything ready to go quickly. The team is safety conscious but if you've got good kayaking experience and know how to handle emergencies that is what matters to them. Nice people and great service. Definitely recommend.

We stopped in Bar Harbor on a cruise we took. It was the best part of the cruise and Acadia Outfitters was the best part of the town. We were originally going to rent bikes down the street and then found out about the scooters here and decided that if we were going to make the most of the day scooters were a better option. That was the BEST decision we made. We saw the whole park and had time to actually stop and take in the sights. The owners were awesome and very helpful. They also rent Bikes and Kayaks.

My husband and I rented scooters from Acadia Outfitters and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon cruising around Park Loop in Acadia. I had never ridden a moped before, but was quickly instructed, and my confidence followed suit. We had the most amazing experience!

The kayak tour was a lot of fun. Carter was a great guide. 10/10 recommend participating in an activity with this group. You can bring a camera or phone, but they are likely to get wet. There’s a bunch of activities to do. So if you’re planning a trip plan enough days to get in all the activities.
