The Looking Glass Restaurant

If you have time and patience, come here for the view and a delicious, relaxed meal experience. This place is a gem and is not overpriced. Serving sizes were great and we even left with a few boxes. The corn beef plate and blueberry pancakes are not to be missed. The home fries are my favorite kind, crunchy with the perfect texture. Service was very friendly and the restaurant is beautiful inside!

The view is spectacular. The ambiance was great. Nice place to chill and enjoy a good meal. We had an eggs benedict and a bagel. They were both tasty and served nice and hot.

It's a great spot if you want to start your day with a view. This is a breakfast restaurant inside Wonder Inn Hotel in Bar Harbor. Outdoor seating could be troublesome because the umbrellas are not doing much in the mornings since they are not tilted. I enjoyed my breakfast bowl with corned beef, carrots, cabbage, homefries and eggs. Overall, the items on the menu seems overpriced. The ambiance is soothing but the service was lacking.

I personally had a good experience at this place. Beautiful view, good service and really delicious food . I had pancakes with fruit plate , it was really delicious. My husband had salmon bagel and home fries, it also was good . We both are very picky but we really loved our food .

The name says it all about this restaurant. You can enjoy a great breakfast with the view.

What a great find. A waiter we had for dinner the night before recommended the Looking Glass for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Friendly you wait staff, good food and an absolutely stunning view of the harbor! (Not to mention avoiding the crowds of downtown Bar Harbor) Could not have found a better spot.

We found this place accidentally by following a sign to ocean views and a Hampton Inn hotel on Cleftstone Rd . Much to our surprise the ocean views were from this restaurant next to an older style motel. We arrived when they were closed for lunch so we decided to return the following morning for breakfast on the last day of vacation. Sadly it was at the end of our trip or we would have gone back for another meal. Breakfast on a sunny day was simply perfect. I should have taken pics of the food to show everyone. Pancakes with Maine maple syrup, eggs, bacon, crispy home fries, and multigrain whole wheat toast with coffee and OJ were all prepared with love. Next time we visit Acadia we will be returning to try dinner. A visit for the view alone would be worth the ride. GPS is wrong, just turn onto Cleftstone and follow it to the end.

This restaurant responded well to covid. The seating is generously spaced out and the food is served quickly and professionally with limited contact with the staff

Everything about this place was amazing. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. We went here for a birthday dinner and everyone licked their appetizer, dinner, and dessert plates clean. The customer service was above and beyond. I accidentally left my credit card there and the waiter found the phone number attached to our reservation and got it back to me as soon as possible. Another bonus is that the view from this restaurant is gorgeous. It overlooks Bar Harbor and is well worth the short drive out of town to eat here and enjoy the view.

The wait staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The setting is very cozy the food was amazing.

We had a delicious breakfast here in early September and the view was gorgeous. Servers were attentive and even with food being a bit slow to arrive from the kitchen it was worth the wait. Try the breakfast tacos if you have a big appetite. They were fabulous.

I had blueberry butter for the first time and loved it. A great place for breakfast with decent views

Good food, fast service and amazing views. Very clean and everyone was very friendly and attentive.

Food was great! The staff was even better. We had omelettes with home fries and everything was perfect. Garrett was our server and he did an excellent job. Gave us some good pointers on places to check out and was just a good guy to talk too. Very dog friendly and one of the other servers even brought out a small plate of food for our dog on the patio without us asking or anything. Along with everything bring perfect the view is amazing... Just amazing
