Jeannie’s Great Maine Breakfast

Came here after viewing a sun rise in the harbor and waited about 15 mins outside. By 0705am this placed was filling up! Very popular and scrumptious! Had the great big Maine breakfast with a few extra things on the side and really put it down! Surprised the waiter and I’ll say it was truly filling post the day before hiking up Cadillac Mountain! Well worth it here!

Once you find a parking space, it's all uphill from there when dining at Jeannie's Great Maine Breakfast! There was a small wait, but there is plenty of window shopping and people watchng to keep you busy. The staff is definitely a step above other places that we visited. They provided efficient, friendly service and new their stuff. As far as the food the blueberry pancakes were awesome. I tried the strawberry rhubarb preserves on part of my pancakes and I loved it. You must try the preserves! Hubby had eggs with biscuits and gravy and made a special mention of how good the biscuits were. The atmosphere was Saturday morning hustle and bustle of a small Maine town, which was exactly what were looking for! If in Bar Harbor, stop here for Breakfast!.

My family really enjoyed this spot! We visited 2x the week we were in Bar Harbor. Friendly staff, the kitchen was singing 🤣 and the food was delightful! The strawberry rhubarb spread was addictive and another member of our party states the Blueberry pancakes were the best they ever had!

This breakfast spot is the best!!! Indoor and outdoor dining. Our server was super fun, informative, kind, and outgoing!! The food was superb! Great location downtown Bar Harbor. Kind staff. About a 45 minute wait on Sunday at 10:00 am. We went across the street for a latte to drink while we waited.

Great breakfast spot in Bar Harbor. We had the blueberry pancakes and the pot roast delight (pot roast with eggs and home fries). Everything was so tasty but the real star of the show is their sauces! The blueberry sauce on the pancakes is an absolute winner (you do need to add it on to the order) and the strawberry rhubarb sauce that comes on the table was a great balance of tart and sweet!

This place gets busy quickly so don’t forget to sign up for the waitlist on their website!

Overall experience was great. Good food, staff was pretty helpful, but seemed just a hint hurried. Wife and I both had breakfast sandwiches. The were large and well prepared. They had some type of strawberry rhubarb jelly in a serving jar on the table. When I asked for strawberry jelly, the server just pointed to the jar. It was not sweet like "regular " jelly.

Jeannie's Great Maine Breakfast for sure lives up to its name. As someone who normally doesn't like breakfast foods, I had a great breakfast here.

We ordered the blueberry pancakes with the blueberry jam and the omelette skillet. The blueberry pancakes is one of the best pancakes I've ever had. The texture was fluffy and there was blueberry in every bite. But adding the homemade blueberry jam on top of it really elevated the experience. The jam acted like maple syrup and perfectly complemented the pancakes. Do not forget to order if you come here. The omelette skillet was cooked to perfection, and the homemade sausage was just phenomenal.

Don't get deterred by the 1 hour wait time, it passes by fast and the worth for breakfast is well worth it!

Long wait but absolutely delicious food! Blueberry pancakes were wonderful. Great coffee. Our server was very attentive even though they were very busy.

Great breakfast. Everything is exceptionally tasty! Homemade strawberry/ rhubarb preserve with pancakes were awesome! It was a little chilly but they provided blankets. Highly recommended!

We were warmly greeted at the door and our phone number was taken so they could text when our table was ready. The breakfast was delicious and filling! The lobster omelet was perfection, and the blueberry pancakes I split with my mom were great to top off the meal. Make sure to definitely add the real maple syrup 😋

Waiter was a Bulgarian lady, super sweet and friendly, she took our order super quick and our meal was served fast.

Atmosphere inside the place was very homey and welcoming too. Unfortunately place doesn't have own parking so we were desperate to find one during the busy hours...

Overall we were very happy to eat there.

Love the vibe of this place! Super cute and welcoming. I ordered the lola pancakes which were delicious. We arrived at 6:30 and there was already a line at the door. One of my best breakfasts during my time in Acadia.

Best vegan breakfast options in Bar Harbor. They’ve got a nice vegan section on the menu and the food is really good!! Unlike a typical greasy spoon, the food feels clean, the home fries are delicious and crispy without leaving a pool of oil behind. They open nice and early if you’d like to beat the crowds. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

I was looking for a place to grab some breakfast before going for the sightseeing and I came across jeanie’s with lot of people waiting to be seated. By the look of it one can tell that this is a famous place so joined the crowed. The wait was not long as it seemed and the service was great and friendly. the food was good nothing exceptional but good and portions were good. Overall it is a good place to grab breakfast in bar harbor downtown.

The food and service were amazing. I've been waiting for them to open for the season since I moved up here and was not disappointed. For any vegans visiting Bar Harbor, it is a must stop on your trip.

Great place to wrap up Acadia trip with local bar harbor brunch. Absolutely loved our host and the owner. And those little wall hanging of the owner’s kids Mother’s Day gifts of making a lobster with your hand prints was very thoughtful and inspirational.

Be prepared for huge portions that don't look like much but are super filling. Eggs are really well done for whatever type you ask for. Pancakes are evenly done and are fluffy. The omelette a are delicious and really well done. Service was quick and efficient. They offer gluten free and vegetarian options!

Awesome little breakfast place. You’ll be greeted by Susie the hostess, she’ll treat you like family. Normally I post a picture of my meal but honestly it looked (and tasted) so good I didn’t even take the time to grab my phone. My wife and I had eaten here on 2 consecutive days and totally enjoyed our experience. If you are even in Bat Harbor you need to stop and enjoy. I 100% guarantee you will be satisfied when you leave.

I was in Bar Harbor for work, and on the last day of my trip, I really wanted blueberry pancakes. Great Maine Breakfast filled that need perfectly! After a 10-15 minute wait, I got in, ordered, and was indulging in blueberry goodness in no time. My server was very prompt and attentive. She even brought me real maple syrup after I asked her what was on the table. It was "table syrup" of course! I'm glad I got the real thing.

Extra kudos to Great Maine Breakfast for its vegan and gluten free menu items. They're highlighted on the menu.

Overall, Great Maine Breakfast is true to its name. Can't wait to return when I'm in the area.
