Great walk and beautiful scenery. Nice break from all the rock trekking and mountain climbing! Lots of birds, frogs, and beautiful scenery.

This area is so stunning! I saw so many people come and go within 10 minutes of arriving, which is sad because there is so much beauty beyond the entrance garden!

We walked the meadow loop which was easy and relaxing. Take your time here and don’t rush to look around :)

Absolutely LOVED stopping here and would go again the next time in Acadia National Park. You can take 15 minutes to explore or over an hour, it’s totally up to you. Scenic walk is by the honor system and incredibly affordable.

My son loves roaming here. Peaceful, beautiful, educational. Please consider leaving a donation. It’s a must see along the Park Loop Road in Acadia National Park. While here, check out the other sights to see if they are open. Can be seen in a video on my channel on YouTube. Highly recommend and we definitely will return again!

Great place in Acadia to walk around in nature and see some wildlife especially during fall foliage season. I have heard it's also beautiful during spring and summer with all the flowers in bloom. Also one of the few places to see yellow lady slippers.

As a plant lover and native plant addict I can't get enough of the Wild Gardens of Acadia.

Beautifully designed and lovingly cared for with lots of meandering paths. Unobtrusive plant labels help you identify just about any plant.

Ther is a visitor center, plenty of parking, and restrooms. Several great paths and trails are nearby.

This is a beautifully designed and maintained wildflower exhibit. We went in Fall but it was even beautiful without many blooms! The leaves provide their own show! Please stop by during your visit to Acadia National Park and give them some support for there preservation efforts!

Gorgeous place, even in the winter! We even saw moose tracks. There aren’t flowers in the winter, but it was amazing to see!! There was so much snow, it was quiet and peaceful, no one there but my husband and I. Can’t wait to come back in the warmer weather as well.

The gardens were beautiful! Went on a nice sunny afternoon and only a few others were walking around. Masks are needed due to it being a “congested area” and thankfully everyone followed the rules. Parking wasn’t an issue in the lot. You can go through the gardens quickly or take your time, look at the flora, and read the labels. Saw some plants and flowers I had never seen before. Highly recommend stopping by there!

A wonderful living garden to familiarize natural native flora and ecosystems that can be expected while visiting Acadia and the surrounding areas. Very quiet, educational, and a great resource before diving into the Park, especially if it is your first visit or are from outside the area.

Wildlife, trails for beginners- more experienced hikers, really well kept trails. Bathrooms, and a relatively nice sized parking lot

This is a really neat garden maintained by volunteers. Cool walk with a lot of flowers and plants. There is a creek that travels through it and plenty of seating within. This is ok for small light walks. Beautiful and well-marked plants. The shuttle runs from here in the summer.

It's a lovely walk through the various plants native to Acadia. Each one has a sign displaying its scientific name, and the little bridges over the pond streams are a tasteful part of the journey.

Make this your first or second stop in Acadia. You learn what the various plants and trees are before doing your hiking elsewhere. They also have a long boardwalk through the wet land areas.

Plan to stop here before seeing much of the park, especially if you plan to hike! The gardens are beautiful to begin with, but also very practical. They are divided into sections where you are most likely to encounter each kind of plant on your trek throughout the park. We had a lot of fun pointing out the flowers, trees, and shrubs we learned to identify in the gardens as we found them elsewhere in the park!

The Wild Gardens of Acadia is inside Acadia National Park. This was one of our stops while on a tour of the park. This was our second stop, which we had about 20 minutes to explore. Our visit here was on October 2, 2019.

There is a nature center at the entrance to the Wild Gardens of Acadia. Inside, there are staff to help answer any questions, as well as visual displays of the history and future of the area. There is an emphasis of climate change in some of the exhibits in there as well. Definitely take some time to stop in here.

It was time to explore the gardens. The weather was overcast with temperatures in the low 50s as a cold front had just passed through the area that morning. Even though the sun wasn't out, there were some great views to be had here. There were many different native flora throughout the gardens. There was some fall color, but it was too early for the full effect of the fall colors.

While exploring the gardens, there were lots of different views to be had. There was not enough time to really take in everything here on this visit, but what was seen was beautiful. Areas were broken out and noted the type of flora that could be seen in each section of the gardens. There are quite a few paths that you can go through here as well. There are some good water views here as well, including a pond. I'm not sure if it had to do with the weather, but there weren't any animals or creatures out during my brief visit here.

Overall, this was a beautiful place to visit. Before coming here, some others online said that it wasn't worth visiting. I totally disagree with that. This was a great place to visit and see the local native species here in their natural habitat. Time got away from me while visiting. If we had a longer time here, I would have definitely continued to explore longer. If your travels take you through Acadia National Park, coming here with your camera is definitely a must. The scenery alone is worth it.

This is a must do in Acadia! It is one of the first stops off of Park Loop Road and it is a great way to start off. They have all of the plants labeled and has lots of crossing paths that you can follow and explore. The staff clearly know the place well and were able to point out extra things to us, including some frogs that were hanging out in one of the lily pad areas!
