Our pup has been going to Dr Fine and crew for many many months for treatments and each and every time the staff is welcoming, kind and patient. Murph LOVES going there, which tells you they treat him like a part of their family. Thankful to have access to such an amazing vet so close to home!!

We are very fortunate to have Acadia Vet here on Mount Desert Island. When we first moved to the island, one of our dogs had an emergency. We were not even clients of Acadia Vet and they got us right in. The staff is very caring and treat your pets as if they were their own. Highly recommend Acadia Vet.

We have used Acadia Vets for many years now. Having 8 cats and 2 dogs has made us frequent flyers. Dr. Fine and his staff have always been very accommodating about fitting us in for any emergency needs as well as well being checks. All of the staff are very attentive, caring and compassionate. They have always taken the time to answer questions and bond with their patients.

We have trusted Acadia Veterinary Hospital to care for our dogs for almost 23 years. They have treated numerous ear infections , diabetes , pancreatitis, seizures as well as providing well care office visits. When it comes time to say goodbye to our beloved dogs they are so kind and compassionate. Here’s Buddy, Duke, Lady , Max and Ruby. 3 year old old Max and Ruby are our 3rd generation of English Springer Spaniels.

I take both of my cats to Acadia Vet for regular check-ups etc. and have always been very pleased.The staff members are all professional and, more importantly, kind and patient (both with the boys and with me!) When the unfortunate time came for Lou to have surgery for bladder stones, Dr. Fine and the crew were wonderful throughout the procedure and the follow-up. Lou did not enjoy wearing his cone but more than a year later he is happy and healthy. Thank you to Acadia Vet for taking such good care of our furry friends 🙂

We have been going to Acadia Vet for over 30 years. They take such good care of all of our animals and I have never been disappointed by any care. Most recently I showed up with my two dogs at the wrong appt time (4 hours early) and they made room for us, so we wouldn’t have to return home and come back later. Such amazing customer service. They send us all the necessary reminders to keep up on all my pets needs.

The staff is always so courteous to myself as well as my dog.
They make you feel like you're a part of the family. They show so much compassion with my dog. Really sets me at ease. Knowing that I can trust them to take care of him if I was not there. They are the best and I only take my pet to the best. They proceed their reputation.

Thank you to Dr. Fine and his team!!! I got to know them pretty well toward the end of my dog’s life. They were always competent, helpful and compassionate. I am beyond grateful!

Thoughtful care and attention to each and every animal. They are so good with my nervous geriatric border collie, and will even sit on the floor with her to make sure she feels comfortable during her exams. Makes a huge difference, and is definitely appreciated by this Dog Mom.

We adopted Sapphire from the SPCA in Trenton about one year ago. She is a huge part of our family! Last fall she started to lose weight and her activity level delined. We took her to The Acadia Veterinary Hospital, where they quickly diagnosed an immunity problem. We could have lost our baby, but with the excellant care that we got from Dr. Fine, Dr. Russell and all the caring techs, she is back to her entertaining self. Thankyou one and all for your care. We were on vacation and one of our pups got sick all of a sudden. We called around to several vets and Acadia was the only one that would see us. Shelby got a very thorough exam from a caring staff and Dr. Fine. He was given meds to make him comfortable because it wasn't good news. Shelby passed in our motorhome that night. We took Shelby back and they took care of his cremation. Dr. Fine called with his condolences which was very thoughtful since we were not his regular patient but just passing through on vacation. I highly recommend this compassionate vet.

My family has taken our dogs and cats to Acadia Vet for as long as we have lived here (31 years). The docs and the staff are terrific: clinically excellent, kind, and compassionate. This community is so lucky to have them.

Every single time my cats or dogs have gotten sick or injured, he’s been able to make space for us to bring them in the same day. Some vets can make you feel rushed or not heard, but Dr Fine has never made us feel like that and always listens to our concerns.

This place. Wow. Poor pup had her first encounter with a porcupine and brought her here. Back home she doesn’t like her vet. She gets all nervous when she goes in, has to be sedated beforehand, etc. She walked in here like she owned the place, and let the staff sedate her without issue so they could pull the quills. I thought she was just nervous of the vet in general, but apparently here they are so dog friendly she just picked it right up.

They take very good care of my dogs.

Acadia Veterinary Hospital is amazing. I am new to the area and had an emergency with my dog. They took us in immediately during the storm.
They were so kind and gentle to my dog and to us. I can't praise them enough. They are wonderful.

Quick intake for my scheduled appt. The vet checked my dog out, paying attention to his past history and recommended a reasonable treatment plan based on that past history....I didn't feel we were starting from square one. Staff was all very friendly and professional.

Took Charley the Dog for a visit while on vacation. Dr. Carroll was very thorough with her examination and diagnosis. She also later worked very well with my veterinarian back home....Highly recommended...
