Capital One Café

I was thinking about getting a saving account but the online application asked for in-person confirmation which brought me to the Café. The ambassador, Hervens, was so welcoming and assisted me with the application. Finally got my first saving account with high APY in the US! Thanks a lot!

I stepped into this place to inquire about applying for the Capital One credit card in person and check the coffee shop. The staff at Capital One as well as the coffee shop were very friendly. Malik was the Capital One employee who patiently helped me. He suggested that you first fill out a form to determine what types of credit cards you might be approved for.
In addition to assisting me with filling out the form and looking at the different types of credit cards that I received pre-approval for, he patiently answered my questions. After that, he helped me apply for the credit card that I chose.
He also helped with making calls for a problem that I had with my account.
In the end, they offered me a free cup of Peet's coffee.

In terms of workspace, it is clean, great, and organized. For those who wish to work from the office, there are private offices, desks, and a coffee shop where you can have a 50% discount on your drinks with your Capital one card.

I love Capital One Cafes! I had a question about my credit card & Chris was so helpful in assisting me and informing me about different rewards available to me as a client. His service was awesome!

I have been coming to this cafe daily for the last month and I love it! Everything from the staff to the space is very welcoming. The space is huge and there is plenty of room between tables. The design is very minimalist and won't get in the way of what you came in to do. You won't be bothered by overstuffed trash or dirty sugar/milk counters.

The staff is super friendly and you won't even feel like they work for a bank. They are always looking for ways to interact with customers by putting up riddles, or question of the day. The only thing that will constantly remind you that you are at a bank are the TVs and the giant displays.

I prefer Peets over Starbucks because their drinks are much stronger, be it coffee or chai. It is slightly more expensive than Starbucks but with the half off discount for drinks, its quite competitive.

If you haven't noticed, most local banks have started to offer classes about personal finance and this capital one is no different...but the thing that sets them apart is the free life coaching sessions and you don't even have to be a customer.

Other the obvious things that can be seen immediately, what C1C has done well is create an environment to have open conversations about money. Through the classes, you can see that they want to help their customers in planning their life as a whole not just the money portion.

The role of businesses should be to serve the community and C1C does it well.

Went in, place seemed clean, staff were ok, many seating places were available. Ordered Peet's Earl Grey tea, was ok. Seems like a reasonable place to head to, especially if seating space or relative quietness is of relevance.

Love this cafe. This is the new style of banking. They have great ideas and this is a super store. Perfect location. Prices for coffees and snacks are reasonable.

When I first walked in, it didn't feel like I was at a bank. Other than the logo and the few ATMs around, it looked exactly like a cafe. People were just hanging out and doing work on their laptops. It is a pretty chill environment.

As I walked around, I was eventually greeted by someone who worked there. He was really friendly and answered all the questions I had without making me feel pressured to open an account.

So I had to come to Google to leave a formal review. Capital one cafe is one of the best things that’s ever happened to Somerville. I have lived here most of my life and i bank with capital one. I come on religiously and they know my name and my order. I love all of the Baristas Maritza and Gladys are always on point with my order. My job is a high stress one and sometimes I don’t even place my order correctly Maritza knows it so well she can double check with me. Gladys is always sunshine and rainbows there is never a day I see this woman and I am not so grateful for her personality. The other day I came in and Paul gave me a full walking tour. He bought my coffee I left with free gear like could you really ask for more in a bank or a host or a coffee shop. He showed me rooms I had never seen before he took his time he was kind and engaged. Not to mention it’s guilt free because Capital one customers save 50% when you use your capital one card. I don’t think I could ever switch banks I hope they open more locations.

Welcoming staff, fantastic coffee, great space. Gabriella and Erica (barista) are awesome! Gabriella walked me through all of the different account options and how to open an account. There was no pressure at all, just a friendly walk through and the offer to help in any way that she could. I've been back about 6 or 7 times for coffee, and it is a always pleasant experience. Even if you don't have an account there, it's a nice place to hang out and have the best cappuccino around.

Hervens was exceptional. Because of his willingness to assist me, I decided to keep Banking with Capital One Bank. Thank you Hervens, your positive attitude is affectionate.

This place is incredible. I really cannot say enough positive things about it. I've been going there for more than 7 months now and have always had a very positive experience. The coffee at Pete's is great, and with a 50% off deal on drinks, it's a great deal. There is a great deal of space available for you to work in and it is very comfortable. Beyond the space itself, I can also mention the staff, who are very friendly and helpful. On the Capital One side, Chris, Herve, Mia, Julia, Jolany, Paul, Malik, and Mike , as well as the other staff who handle the coffee, are always friendly and helpful. All of them create an atmosphere that feels like a family atmosphere, where you'd enjoy working and chatting with them.

It's wonderful that I discovered this place and can visit it frequently.

This place is awesome. Everyone is super friendly. Drinks and food are great. If you have a capital one card and use it with your purchase you can get a discount. This has become my weekly Thursday WFH spot.

Great staff, friendly, very welcoming, and overall nothing but good things to say. I’m here pretty often, as it’s great place to work from home. Great for reading etc… not too loud which makes it perfect for wfh days.

I dislike any sort of over-sold marketing schemes... this place is phenomenal. I was consistently treated to on-the-house coffees, friendly discussion and fun games/riddles/interactions from the staff, regardless of my membership (or lack there-of). Seriously, you would forget this place has anything to do with a bank. Now, some people may approach this as a crafty marketing scheme. I don't think 'crafty' is an appropriate word for it, honestly. I became a member of Capital One, simply because they were KIND to me- I was working away one day, and one of the staff approached me, and I assumed they were finally going to push me to open an account there. ...nope, they wanted to give me free pizza.

The staff, both behind the counter of the Peet's Cafe, and the C1C staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Yesterday was a catered crepe day, so everyone got both a lunch crepe and a dessert crepe as well (they don't care if you're a member to take part).

My wife and I came in last month for their free waffle Saturday. We had breakfast, played board games (they have them there), and hung out with the staff. This place is the best.

The best banking experience I’ve ever had. They helped with something we could have done online but took the time to walk us through the process. Complete with a coffee. This is where to bank. Period.

All kinds of cafe beverages served here as well as some food. I highly recommend getting a Capital One credit card in order to get it all at 50% off. The lounge here is also very spacious and conducive to productivity, it's not loud, there's outlets, desks, space, etc.

The atmosphere is great and the Capital One team members were extremely welcoming and helpful. I also thought the service when ordering a coffee was excellent. I'll definitely be back often!
