Working with Adam to buy our house in Jamaica Plain was a great experience. Right from the start, he showed us how much he knows about the real estate market and kept everything running smoothly. He was always there to answer our questions quickly, which made the whole process less stressful. What really helped us out was how well-connected Adam is. He knew the selling agent, which gave us a leg up in making a strong offer and negotiating terms. I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t be in our new home right now without his help. I have to say that Adam Shamus was the best person I could have contacted when I was advised by my doctor to move to a living space all on one level. When I was trying to decide what to do, I asked Adam if he would be willing to take a look at my place to suggest what I should fix first. There was a presentation about deciding how to make changes while aging a few years ago at our congregation, so I felt comfortable in asking him if he minded. He met with me, did a walkthrough, and had very helpful suggestions, taking a lot of issues off my mind. When I called as I was moving out, he came in right away and went over the details with me, all within the same week. He also found some cleaners who did a wonderful job quickly before showing the place. The next Monday the house went on the market, and there were several bids to choose from; we accepted a higher than asking bid by Friday. After that, Adam took care of coordinating the process, read the meters, and reminded me to have the snow cleared after the snowfall. I did not have a real estate lawyer, so he suggested a couple, one of whom I hired. I was very happy with her as well.
By the way, when I decided to work with Adam, my son, who lives in Virginia, decided to check out Compass, which is the company Adam works with. I think he was afraid I might be taken in by a fast talker; he called back in a couple of hours and reported that the company was reputable and a good one to work with. I had that feeling already, but appreciated his concern.
I felt like a had a good partner to work with in making the decision to move while I still was able, and in following through. I highly recommend Adam Shamus and his company for helping with this transition.

Adam was a dream to work with. In the beginning he helped us to identify our interests and focus our search on the few neighborhoods that checked all of our boxes (we didn’t make it easy on him). He was quick to respond to any questions that we had and as he accompanied us on several walk throughs, he raised questions that we would have never thought to ask. This was our third experience using Josh Muncey and The Muncey Group for a residential real estate transaction in the Boston area. This time Josh enlisted the help of Adam Shamus, an agent in his group. We were demanding clients, searching remotely from Atlanta and LA for a property meeting specific criteria. As first time home buyers we had a lot of questions. Adam simplified the process for us in a way that made us feel comfortable with all of the big decisions we were making. I recently spent time with Adam searching for a new home. I had specific items I wanted in a new home and Adam took the time to listen to my needs and helped identify properties that met my search criteria. He moved quickly to bring in someone to help stage our house most effectively, arranged for professional photos and a professional floor plan. He also helped connect us with someone who could make needed home improvements. Adam was knowledgeable, responsive and supportive. If you are buying or selling, you MUST hire Adam Shamus as your Realtor. I cannot say enough good things about him.

After moving my elderly mother to an assisted living facility, I had the daunting and sad task of selling my childhood home and parents’ home of 65 years. Adam came highly recommended and I now know why.

As we began to clean out the house, Adam made the time to come meet with us. Right away he was incredibly friendly, helpful and thorough in explaining how he would go about selling the house. We were so impressed we hired him on the spot. From that point forward, he was in constant contact with us every step of the way. He provided reputable contacts such as handymen and lawyers. The house was listed on a Thursday and sold at the end of the Open House on Sunday. There was very little for me to do other than sign on the dotted line. You could say he held my hand along the way which made the process so effortless.

We were very privileged to have met and worked with Adam on a professional level and are now delighted to call him a friend as well.

We just completed our second home purchase with Adam. Our first was a short sale back in 2014. This time around was a more straightforward home purchase and so things moved much faster than our last experience. Adam connected us with the right people at the right time in order to get the process started quickly, which made our lives so much easier. From the pre-approval letter within hours to make the winning bid to the right lawyers to help close the deal with 45 days, we couldn’t have been happier. Adam is our go-to agent!

With that, we also had to sell our house quickly. Adam stepped up immediately, telling us each day what we should be doing in order to remove any potential delays in listing our current home, even coming down to help move a few heavy items to help stage the house. He got our first offer within 2 hours of the open house and got our house sold within 4 hours! In order to close the deal, he dropped everything to get on the phone with other agents and got us 3 other offers within minutes! The pressure he was able to take off of us was priceless and the final offer was exactly what we hoped for. Adam is our go-to agent!

We cannot say enough about Adam. He is a true professional. His expertise in the whole business of real estate is undeniable, but beyond this, it is his manner that really sets him aside. We went through a process of viewing and then bidding on two properties in recent months. Adam is incredibly responsive. He was available to meet evenings and weekends. He has a great ability to present the complex process of real estate purchase in a very straightforward manner, which was very important to us, as we had not bought in the US before. During a bidding process on an apartment, Adam's council kept us informed and sane with regular conversations during what was quite a rollercoaster ride. At no point was he anything other than patient and supportive. He fought hard for our best interests and a positive outcome. Ultimately, that purchase did not go ahead, but that was entirely down to us. Adam negotiated the opportunity for us and in the end we had to back out. When we look to purchase again, Adam will be our first, and I expect, only call. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Adam to any prospective buyer. For such a huge investment, it is so important to know that you have someone working for you who is professional, trustworthy and always available. And, before i forget: he is a really nice guy, too!
