Definitely a family owned business, which was nice to see around here. They seem understaffed, so if you call the takeout number and they don't answer thats probably why. I got the orange chicken and it was very crispy, could've used a bit more sauce but other than that, delicious. Please support them if you can, and be patient.

Oh my goodness the food was absolutely delicious. I had the best egg drop soup in my life here tonight. My family also ordered egg rolls which were amazing as well as fried rice, Sesame chicken, and General tso's. The chicken was crispy and cooked to perfection. The sauces were divine! The food quality exceeded all expectations. The restaurant was very clean and the whole staff were super nice and gave great service. We will definitely be coming back as this will now be our go-to place.

We stopped by after a visit to Bentleyville Tour of Lights. The food was amazing, the owners are wonderfully nice people, they are great, service was awesome, and atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. Might become a new holiday destination when we drive up to Duluth!

This is an amazing place. It could not be more atmospheric if it tried. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic, but the best part was how warm and comfortable it is. The interior is traditional and inviting, the service is excellent and they offer tea with your meal. it feels like you've been invited over to a friend's house for dinner. It's fantastic.

Really great food and atmosphere! I would definitely recommend the sesame chicken. Very friendly staff. Would order again. :)

Stopped in hoping for decent food and found a treasure! Best I have had in a long time. Small place tucked away downtown but the food was amazing. Had to stop in again before leaving town. Hope to come back again sometime.

I do love this place. Very old school American Chinese. The inside is all old paneling, definitely a throw back to the 70's. It's been around so long I'm scared that the owners will be retiring and we won't have any Chinese restaurants downtown anymore. Enjoy it while you can.

When I was young, there was this place in my hometown we'd visit for amazing, delicious Chinese food. Cantonese House, moment by moment, bite by bite, flooded me with memories of that restaurant. The tea, the apps, the egg foo yung, the sauces, etc. - EVERYTHING was delicious. Our server took care of us like we were family. If I lived here, this would be my go-to eatery.

Food was good. Love the orange chicken. It's not soggy. It doesn't tastes like it's been sitting under a heat lamp. My son ended up trying the egg foo young and had never tried it before. The lady who worked there asked if he liked it. He explained he didn't like the bean sprouts. She offered him some orange chicken and even brought out new fried rice without bean sprouts. It was so kind of her to do and just outta the kindness of her heart. We have always experienced great customer service and great food.

Great! You don’t expect to find quality Chinese food in a place like Duluth but this place is great. Friendly, fast service, portions are just right and the food is delicious and healthy.

East coast Chinese style food. For those who are familiar, you know what I mean. For those who aren't.... Thick donut style batter on the sweet and sour, duck sauce on the table, legit crab puffs, and white sauce on the moo goo gai pan. It's bomb, for sure our favorite Chinese place in Duluth. The pad Thai wasn't something I'd order again there though.... But lo mein was fire.

I first ate at Cantonese House 11 years ago. And during all this time nothing has changed- this restaurant’s charm, delicious food, and family-friendly vibes remain. For this visit I brought my entire family and we feasted. In the end our stomachs and hearts were full. We were pleased with the service/hospitality but also with the speed of the cooking and the authentic taste. I recommend this restaurant 10 times over.

I literally buy a quart of pork fried rice from here every single day. it’s the best in town!

We were very happy with this place. I can't say enough about the service we received here. We were well taken care of and our leftover food was boxed for us at the table. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything from the soup, to wontons, egg rolls, fried rice, and our main dishes couldn't have been better! The sweet and sour is wonderful. The prices here are very reasonable. Will definitely be back!

I love eating here. The lady who usually serves is so sweet to chat with. They serve the food family style and it just feels like such a quaint little place.

LOVE the food!! My husband and I eat here a lot! (Writing this as I eat) The sweet and sour chicken is to die for! The portions are just right, even for the chicken! Everything is made just right, and I love that they aren't cheap with the rice!! Lol. Overall a very comfortable environment and friendly staff!! And No, I don't work here... People that write negative reviews about their food or staff have clearly not put on a smile and made conversation with the workers here or are willing to admit to good cooking.
