The Downtown Duluth Inn

I was very much ready for a compromise but this place was very affordable compared to the other hotels in this location and we just needed a bed for the night so we booked it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the staff was very amiable and helpful, the room was very clean (check out the pictures of how clean the bed is) and it is a pragmatic walk to the canal park and aerial lift bridge ( big plus for us). All in all I am quite impressed and would recommend this to anyone looking for an economical option in close proximity to some good sights. Our room was a double bed but the other bed was in use so I only took pictures of the one bed. Both beds were in the same, clean condition.

Had an excellent 4 day stay! Staff was more than accommodating during my visit! Will stay there every year now! Walls must be thick cause I never had any noise issues like most hotels! Breakfast was a plus also! Great value for what you get. No issues at all!

Delightful experience! This was advertised as a Best Western Hotel, but has been taken over by another group and renamed. So we were concerned when we arrived! But..it was a very happy surprise! The staff are super friendly, real family atmosphere, and they are very attentive and helpful with everyone. It was also CLEAN! The bedding was crisp and clean, and so were the bathrooms, plenty of shampoos, soap etc.

Didn't expect much... Cheapest option, right downtown, thought it would be kinda gross. Totaly wrong. Room was very clean and comfortable. More importantly (to me), easily the best breakfast spreads I've ever seen at this price. Cereal, breakfast burritos, jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches, eggs, muffins, donuts, toast, oatmeal, fruit, juice, coffee, and milk. Great experience would absolutely stay again.

This hotel is clean, with a great breakfast (juice, fruit, waffles, cereal, english muffins, etc.), has free parking, is close to downtown, and the price is right! It is older and on the small side, but it is not fair to compare it to the Ritz because the price is considerably lower. This is a great place for the money and we will stay here again.

Stayed here awhile back and had a couple good nights. A motorcycle club was staying here at the same time and they were pleasant and respectful. Got a good nights sleep and the place was quiet. Staff was very easy to talk to as well. Would stay here again.

I go to this hotel every year and the staff are very welcoming and I have a seamless experience every time. Room is always clean. The only issue I have are that the beds are outdated and not very comfortable, however, the price per night and location can't be beat.

I have already stayed at this motel for a few times. In my opinion, it is the best decision if you are going to have inexpensive rest. I was very pleased.
Clean room, clean bed sheets, coffee maker, iron and hairdryer. The staff is friendly and continental breakfast is great. The parklot in the motel is not big. Sometimes I used external parking.
This motel is really in downtown. From the motel to the Lakewalk may be 15 minutes by walk across safe and ancient downtown. There are many interesting places.

This is a pretty good place to stay during the week days. Astonishingly cheap compared to other places, and the rooms are actually quite nice! The WiFi was down for some reason, but that didn't bother me any. Plenty of channels to pick from if you're really that bored.

This was a wonderful, basic hotel. Nothing fancy, but what it had was great. Soft bed, hot shower with great water pressure. Good basic breakfast. Hdtv (it's dumb but most basic hotels don't have this). Everything was clean and the heat worked wonders. Great basic hotel all in all

The room was clean and cool, the beds were comfy and soft. I forgot my pillow at home and was able to sleep well, so the pillows were good too, apparently. Overall I was pretty impressed.

After Paddling the BWCA I looked forward to a wonderful stay at the Duluth Inn.... I wasn't disappointed. Christina and Michelle made my day and with BIG smiles... So nice and accommodating.... I guess thats why the say " Minnesota Nice".

We had an Awesome Stay... The staff was very friendly and helpful... The room was clean and the sheets fresh.. Breakfast was a nice addition. Lots of Construction Going on but stores are open... Will stay there again in the future!!!

It's not a 'brand new' hotel, but it's clean and the staff are friendly. I had a room on the second floor and can see Lake Superior from my bed. Great for downtown.

Very nice, clean rooms. Delicious continental breakfast and great location! The friendly staff made checking in/checking out quick and easy.

This is an amazing place for the price. It is a small place and not a whole lot of amenities, but if you're looking to spend a night near downtown Duluth for a night or 2, this is the place!! Great staff, great breakfast, and clean rooms!

Clean, comfortable, surprisingly quiet , warm room and Michelle was super personable and polite. Great for people on a budget and we will definitely be back.

Great location. It is right inside Duluth downtown.close to the North shore scenic drive entrance. Room was very nice with great view of the outside. Staff was friendly.

The onspot parking is nice. This hotel is very centrally located and a short walk away from the main attractions of Duluth.
