Gao Thai Kitchen

Having passed by this establishment for the past few months being new to the area, my wife and I decided to have dinner here and were very impressed with the overall experience. The service was prompt and pleasant and always making sure we had full drinks and needing anything. We started with the sampler appetizer which included spring rolls, curry puffs, chicken satay and spare ribs. Each item were super hot and tender. The side sauces were a nice touch. Our entrees were level 5 heat chicken ka prow for me and a chicken with Thai broccoli and noodles for my wife. The heat was perfect and the portions were large and overall very tasty dishes. We couldn’t pass up dessert so we went with the chocolate peanut butter sundae and the homemade chocolate lava cake. Both were delicious and decadent. I would recommend here without hesitation and look forward to going back.

I like eating here. I come here sometimes for their lunch menu and it is the best Thai restaurant in the area. The flavor is right, fresh vegetables, portions are right and they are quick and friendly. We had Pad Thai and Chicken red Curry.
Will keep coming.

It was out first time eating anywhere in Ramsey. We were there for lunch on a Wednesday and sat outside. Great food, service was prompt and very courteous and outdoor seating was good but a bit noisy since it is right next to a busy intersection. We loved it anyway. Perhaps a little music outdoor will be better!

We ordered Kee Mao and Green curry. Had Tom yom chicken and chicken satay for apps. All great. Will come again.

Easy to miss hidden gem. Curry Puffs are as fresh and hot as possible. The green curry is thick and fragrant. Order with sticky rice, will make your meal memorable. Great quick lunch spot.

We had never been here before. The food was amazing! Very clean and very flavorful. Very authentic. Will chatting with her server at the end of our meal. We realize that they are connected with our favorite Thai food restaurant in River Vale! This restaurant owner is so consistently good at what they do.

Hands down my favorite Thai restaurant. The wait staff is attentive but never overbearing and the food is phenomenal! Our family favorites are Braised Short Rib Massaman (3rd picture), Thai BBQ Beef, and Gao Salmon. I have eaten here dozens of times and never been disappointed by a single bite.

Good ambience and good food and excellent services. Would have been even better if they served wine or beer with their food . Easily over $100 for 2 people dinner if it were in Manhattan. Paid a little less than $60 for 1 appetizer, 2 dishes, 1 side dish and 1 dessert. Plenty of food too

Cute place inside with nice patio seating outside. Food is fantastic, we had the Khao soi and kee mao and we ate it all! Definitely coming back. The service was quick and pleasant, nice easy going music playing in the background.

the BEST crab fried rice we've eaten! Seasoning was perfect. We prefer to eat less salty and we found a place to take out now.

I've been coming to or ordering from Gao for a few years now and decided it's time give them a proper review. I've had most of the menu, and there are no duds. The Short Rib Massaman and Kee Mao noodles are amazing, and the rest of the curries and noodles are all hits. The combo is a great way to start the meal trying a little bit of everything. Service is quick and byo is nice with the liquor store across the street. Pick up has always been accurate and on time.

We were recommended this restaurant. Great choice to celebrate my brother and my daughter's birthdays. Very beautiful, serene, quaint. Even in the small space, the staff accommodated our large party. They made us feel welcome, they were kind and friendly. The food was delicious. Not so many kid friendly options but, thankfully my toddlers eat basically anything haha. We had a wonderful experience. Thank you for everything!

It's a cozy little place that has good Thai iced tea, fish sauce does not over power red curry, the Thai crêpes are pretty and good. The lava cake is not too sweet, but the mango parfait is not distinctive. Would be delicious if they used champagne, Philippine or ataulfo mangoes.

A fantastic modern Thai restaurant with consistently delicious food at fair prices. Been going here for years and it's always great each time - exactly what you want from a restaurant. It's a classy vibe inside, with some nice chillout music including artists like Bonobo and Emancipator. After many visits, I recommend their pad cashew nut with chicken, the pad thai pratoo phee (glass noodle) with shrimp, and pad see ew (black noodle) with beef.
Bonus trivia: in the 90s this building was an ice cream place named Scoop DeVille which had half of a Cadillac sticking out from the back wall.

Food travels well here. Always hot when I bring it back home. Red curry is so yummy!

Have been a diner of theirs for over 5 years, they never disappoint. I'd recommend their pineapple fried rice.
